tv Hannity FOX News July 16, 2024 6:00pm-7:00pm PDT
6:00 pm
>> sean: we never get to see each other so this is like a reunion. i got this guy next to me. >> i haven't seen you in a while >> sean: great show. you said something to me, this is your first anchor convention. >> usually o'reilly has me running around. now i'm on the anchor chair. at nicer up here. >> sean: i think our audience loves you to. >> jesse: i learned everything from you. [ simultaneous talking ] >> sean: that guy on the other side i was mc when he became speaker in 1994,. >> i'm older than i look. [ simultaneous talking ]
6:01 pm
>> sean: welcome to hannity. it is nights number 2 of the national convention. we are in wisconsin where the gop is rallying big time around donald trump. this places electric tonight. donald trump is racking up endorsements. huge donations. one of the world's richest men, i guy by the name of elon musk has reportedly pledged $45 million a month until the election. meanwhile the atmosphere in this room, i've been to a lot of conventions over the years, this is a lot of fun down here. we all watched the emotional entrance from the former president just two days after surviving that assassination attempt and in just moments we expect to see the former president walk out once again for tonight's events plus we are good to be hearing speeches from ron desantis, nikki haley and much more.
6:02 pm
make no mistakes, this convention is happening by the grace of god. one turn of the head, one millimetre, 1 inch, whatever you want to call it. we would be a very sad nation tonight. that should have been prevented. limit get serious for a moment. the failed assassin, was spotted by donald trump supporters and police. we now know 30 minutes before the shooting, local law enforcement officer saw him carrying a rangefinder and reported him to state police. others saw him carrying the latter and a large rifle just outside our trump rally. if you're not a shooter, 130 yards is nothing. they saw him climb onto the roof and they were shouting for police to do something. the roof was just a few dozen yards away from the rally, had a perfect site line to the former president.
6:03 pm
so why was a man with a gun allowed to climb onto that roof and take him? why was it left unattended by secret service? how could it happen. donald trump is once again entering the building. we're going to talk with his son in a minute. talk to former speaker of the house newt gingrich. supporting the secret service director, the roof had a slight slope so she was saying it was unsafe for her agents. we're going to play that later in the program today. if it wasn't safe for the agents, then we put them inside. why didn't you have the building surrounded around the perimeter? why didn't you have marksmen watching out for the roof of the -- of building just in case. that's insane. the secret service sniper team was on a nearby roof with an even steeper slope. that you can see donald jay trump looks like he's moving up to your box from last night.
6:04 pm
donald junior is with us. the director is now being honest after what was one of the worst security failures in american history. we will get to all of this in a minute but i want to welcome donald trump junior. i watched you last night, we've known each other for many years. i saw. >> it was allergies. not a lot of crying in the trump family. it was so heavy. forty-eight hours later, at the emotion but also the love that we felt here. it's a different setting than 2016, the last time we were at a real convention. 2016 i was almost in a fit fight -- fistfight because there was still a battle going on. what i saw over the last couple of days here in milwaukee was
6:05 pm
just incredible. people can evolve and change and people can unify. >> let's go back to the beginning. remember guys like glenn beck, ben shapiro beating the crap out of me because i supported... >> it was a very different court and i was uncertainty. now use all results. under my father's administration, i will use on saturday, that was america. to be in the face of fire and everyone is a tough guy these days behind a computer and on the internet. it's a little different win you actually get shot in the face. he did and to stand up defiant in the face of literal fire and an assassination attempts, that's what america needs right now. we've had the opposite for four years where it's weakness... everyone sees it and they take advantage of that.
6:06 pm
>> sean: i will always are member that. they're going to a videotape here. want to ask you this period where were you? >> i was out with my daughter. it was a saturday evening. she wants to go fishing. i like to hunt and fish and shoot... so i was out on a boat with my daughter in the atlantic and some of her friends and i got a call being like your dad's been shot i'm like i need more than that, what you mean? >> i didn't know anything for 90 minutes. trying to get threw to anyone and trying to get my kids together, secure, explained to my young children what happened. it was a crazy moment. it took 90 minutes for me to get a hold of my father.
6:07 pm
when i did it was me and eric on the phone, we were on speakerphone and he is okay and he was incredibly composed. obviously the gravity of the situation was weighing on him and that's when i said you were the biggest badass i've ever seen in my life. that moment, i've never not been proud of him. that moment was like level. >> i've known your dad for almost 30 years. we were talking about when we first met. every time at interview your dad before he got into politics he would walk me over and introduced me to you and eric and ivankovic very proudly every time. he did tell me the story about baron. and he took it hard. >> it is. i had to try to explain that to my 10-year-old daughter. i've got a lot of kids.
6:08 pm
that's a conversation i hope no one ever has to have, especially in a time when we didn't know and they are wondering and questioning and they don't know what's going on. was very rough. >> i want to ask about the head of the secret service kim cheadle who said the buck stops with me but i plan to stay on. >> so the buck doesn't actually stop with you. >> the worst thing that she said is we know it was a threat but it was a slow... -- slope. >> you know karate, i know shooting. >> my mother was a prison guard so they took me early for gun safety. you were better with rifles than i am by a long shot. 130 yards, it's a layup. >> engulfed terms it's a 6-inch pot. the fact that he turned his head at that moment, i'm not an
6:09 pm
overly spiritual guy that is divine intervention. it is almost impossible to miss that shot. the fact that he got that far and one for that long and there's videos of people in the crowd saying this is kind of odd it doesn't happen, i've had a secret service detail, when you are the presumptive nominee, a shooter with a rifle does not get on the roof for half an hour without being spotted, without being noticed or being exterminated and certainly not within 150 yards. i assumed this had to be something from a thousand yards out or 150 yards -- it's an impossibility to have happen without incompetence. >> sean: the perimeter is any range in which you can hit a target. that's where it gets even worse. she had...
6:10 pm
one not surround the perimeter, one out have sharpshooters have eyes and lasers on that roof. is it -- it is a level of incompetence. your father came within a millimetre of being assassinated. we wouldn't be here tonight. >> i know these guys. they are great guys. they are not worried about a slope. i can assure you, especially guys that i've known, they are not worried about a 5-degree pitch on a slope. that's nonsense. you look at the counter snipers that were up there, they were also on sloped roofs. require was that one, okay,, a steeper slope. it's the dumbest excuse but the buck stops with her but there will be no accountability. the fbi will do a phony investigation. they will come up with nothing. the problem is a big part of what i see here is so many people have lost faith in these institutions whether it be the fbi or the doj because they've
6:11 pm
seen it weapon eyes against them. conservatives have watched for the last decade as concerned mothers in meetings are turned into domestic terrorists but actual terrorists are led out. >> sean: we now know that u.s. authorities had human source intelligence in recent weeks on a plot by iran. we don't know that they were involved, to assassinate your father but they had that intelligence and not lead the secret service to say to increase security which adds another threat level. >> if you have that kind of credible threat, i know there was a threat against us and the whole family when my father was an office with iran. i think it's a great endorsement. if they want to take out that probably means it's good for america and bad for iran. when that happens, their capabilities are so much more then a kid with a rifle.
6:12 pm
there's no way again. that's when i hear the 130 yards number, i can make that shot with a bow. you guys make that shot with a handgun all day long. >> you know something, think about your father has been through. i covered all of these stories. the russia hoax and 51 former officials. look at the decision by eileen cannon and the documents case, they didn't raid hillary clinton or joe biden's house. we have a weapon iced system of justice. i talk about all the time and it scares me as an american that this has been allowed to happen. by the way, nobody in the media, nobody, on the democratic side, they did not care about a phony valuation of the house at 18 million, a perusal of palm beach real estate shows it's closer to a billion but they didn't care about statute of limitations and illegal nda put together by a lawyer labelled a
6:13 pm
legal expense, nothing wrong with a upgraded to 34 felony charges. >> they've been taking that one way or the other. >> i did 50 hours of testimony for treason. that's a crime punishable by death. i'm not the upstanding citizen that hunter biden is but it feels a little bit harsh. it feels excessive that that would be the case. so it's insane, they tried to take them out legally, they tried to bankrupt him, they've tried -- he's the first person in the world who has to pay a half billion dollars fine for paying back loans on time with interest where the alleged victim is a bank that's testifying on his behalf. that doesn't just happen. so when that failed and the impeachment failed and they couldn't confiscate his businesses and they are trying to throw him in jail, what you think the next evolution is? it's not conspiratorial. they've tried to dehumanize him
6:14 pm
for so many years, he's a nazi and fascist but they've also done that every person in this room. every person in this room and half the country. so it's a shame. we do have to get rid of that rhetoric. i went onto the floor, eric and i went out there and... that's a big moment for our family. there's a reporter. [ simultaneous talking ] >> let's roll that tape. do we have that tape? >> it's -- is it accessible that you have not heard and publicly from the secret service director? >> i've heard from him. i've sat down in a situation downstairs with his secret service, fbi, homeland security, all the major elements.
6:15 pm
>> he did spend a lot of time changing up the message. it's a different time in america. lots happened in 48 hours. >> what is that going to look like? your father as president, you would say he's a divisive figure. >> i don't think he is at all. the media created divisiveness around him. they lied about russia and russia collusion. they said he was a traitor. >> i covered the family separation crisis closely when we continue to see policies like separating 5000 children deliberately from their parents. >> will there be a second family separation policy? >> i expect nothing less from you clowns. even 48 hours later you couldn't wait with your lies and nonsense. get out of here. >> sean: i talk to your dad about it today, sometimes he gets a little hot. >> i thought it was remarkably
6:16 pm
restrained. my father got shot in the face less than 48 hours before that moment. i think. >> sean: we appreciate you being with us. when the moment happened, i said they just kill him. i've known him a long time. great to see you, appreciate you coming. joining us now, former speaker of the house, fox news contributor, newt gingrich. great to see you, we have a long history at conventions. what is your take as it relates to the secret service understanding and what kim cheadle said. >> if you don't fire her, you don't get anything? >> she is totally responsible. you have to ask why they were understaffed and where those
6:17 pm
people went, you have to ask what the standing orders were. my sense is that the trump team, the secret service team had been asking for more help for weeks and been turned down. if that's true. >> she said a sloped roof which is 130 yards away. it's a lay up anyone who has rudimentary skills. >> this is probably inappropriate for news program but that's crap. >> i would say a person who thinks we are that stupid and who has people who are that week , you go to the seals, rangers, lots of people who don't mined getting on roofs. i will bet you there are hundreds of secret service agents who would have been willing to be on that roof. she has to be fired.
6:18 pm
>> sean: let me play the interview. there are two basic things that she said. one thing is i take full complete responsibility but i'm not going to step aside. she makes the issue of the sloped roof which tells me... as she's saying this i want you to think about this. okay you couldn't put them on the roof, why didn't you have sniper eyes 130 yards out on that roof and why didn't you secure the perimeter around that that didn't happen either. let me run this, i just lost my earpiece. we have that tape ready? let's roll it. >> showed that roof have been secured period? >> that building has a sloped roof at its highest point and so there is a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn't want to put somebody up on a sloped roof. the decision was made to secure
6:19 pm
the building from inside. >> who is most responsible for this happening? >> the secret service is responsible for the protection of the former president. >> so the buck stops with you? >> the buck stops with me. >> do you plan to stay on after? >> i do plan to stay on. >> sean: i plan to stay on. >> who was fired for afghanistan? no one. who was... why would you think the biden administration, the most corrupt, incompetent administration in our history was discovered that with responsibility becomes it -- comes accountability. these are bad people doing bad things. >> sean: then we have the rhetoric. joe biden, we have to lower the temperature. last week he was talking about a bull's-eye and a montage of joe and his wife said that his wife
6:20 pm
is evil. they have done a really good job of dehumanizing him which makes me think that i always hold the person responsible. that the game that liberals play. i never blamed the bernie sanders for the shooting of steve's gullies. however,, to get lectured about lowering the temperature from joe biden lesson. >> is it acceptable that you have still not heard at least publicly from the secret service director? >> i've heard from him. >> have you heard from her publicly? >> i've sat down in the situation room downstairs... all the major elements. >> sean: then he also made the bull's-eye comments. he had the speech in north carolina. joe biden said he's evil. i don't really think he has the authority for lectures.
6:21 pm
>> i think that to take joe biden seriously is to misunderstand the whole nature of the biden administration. the fact is joe biden is a corrupted delaware politician who has adopted all of the left-wing views but who in fact has no underlying sense of responsibility to the country are to anybody else. >> sean: as a historian home fun is this for you? >> i want to say one thing that may be a little bit jarring to some people. as i listen earlier to don junior, we should also remember that every weekend in america there are hundreds of families who are experiencing the same tragedy, same agony except the bullet didn't miss. and maybe it will get all of us
6:22 pm
to take more seriously stopping the kind of violence that dominates milwaukee, minnesota, chicago. we should think about everybody else. >> sean: great to see you. we are awaiting speeches from nikki haley, rhonda santos. joining us with more reaction are south dakota governor christie gnome, alabama senator katie bread. great to see you both how are you. >> doing great. >> iselle you speak last night. now you guys are friends. >> we've always been friends. i got to help her get elected as well. >> sean: your reaction first. south dakota, it's a free state. you believe in the second amendment. you know 130 yards is nothing. >> it's nothing. >> i could spend ten or 15 minutes with one of my kids nov an easy shot. >> then you heard the head of the secret service...
6:23 pm
>> leadership has consequences and the buck always stops with a leader so she needs to be fired and gone. there's a clear failure here. we will get into the details and gather more information. right away we need to understand that this consequences for making poor decisions and for putting people in jeopardy the way this administration has. >> sean: great to have you senator. i did call alabama home for a couple of years. when i left alabama, the local newspaper said goodbye to the talkshow host. when i left atlanta and said... 1996 was a great year, the lipids came and hannity left. on not sure if everyone shared your view. >> we would love to have you in the great state of alabama. >> a great to have you. it's not your first convention but your first time speaking? >> yes. >> how was it? >> it was incredible. walking out there was electric.
6:24 pm
you could feel the energy and you can feel the passion. [ inaudible ] >> sean: we see the democrats ... i've only been saying this before the 2020 election that joe biden is a cognitive mess. >> you've been talking about it for years and i blame the national news media that was trying to cover this up as well. they are complicit in the fact that he is not able to lead and do the job today and because of that we've seen this extreme wing socialist marxist agenda that's taken over the united states of america. that's what the real americans are waking up to now. >> this does bring up a lot of interesting points. i think you are right. regardless if they were to replace him or not although he steadfastly says he's going to stay in here, democrats will not
6:25 pm
change their policies on the border, they are not going to change their economic policies, energy policies. there defined, dismantle, reimagine no bylaws. they are not going to change their foreign policy which is meant to suck up to iran and let vladimir putin and russia and china have free reign on our enemies. is anything going to change if it's not joe? >> nothing at all. it is the policy of the democratic party that has failed every day americans. i think it's telling that president trump put in the platform... we are in decline under joe biden. we are diminished just like the
6:26 pm
gentleman in the oval office and now it's time for change. >> sean: donald trump came down the escalator in 2015. sort of like him standing up with the fist which fake news cnn criticized. you talked about open borders. now we have a 12-year-old girl brutalized for two hours and murdered in texas, 13-year-old girl raped and broad daylight in new york, mother of five killed, as a woman her name is not lincoln, her name is laken riley >> every day americans are losing their loved ones because we are allowing dangerous criminals, unstable mental people that are not welcome, they are putting their responsibility into the united states of america and telling them go into america, the borders open and we are not getting the best of the best. >> they are coming from iran, syria, afghanistan, egypt, venezuela. tens of thousands from china and
6:27 pm
russia. >> they refused to act. in fact joe biden created this and in the first 100 days,... donald trump had the most secure borders of all time. we know how to do that and democrats refused to do that. i had a laken riley act in the senate and the democrats blocked did. >> they don't want proof of citizenship or voter idea or signature verification. why not? >> they are remaking the country. they are. they are allowing millions of people in here. >> we can do it expeditiously and in a compassionate way. respect our borders and sovereignty, you have to return home and we will give you free transportation, maybe a little money in your pocket if we have to but you were out. >> we love immigrants. this country as a country of immigrants. we want people to obey our laws. people should come here legally
6:28 pm
and there has to be consequences when you break the law. >> i think people see it but i can't get any numbers out of border patrol or anything out of this administration on if i do have illegal immigrants coming into my state. i hear anecdotal evidence but i see the cartels are set up. most people don't know that native american tribes and their land or sovereign nations. i have no jurisdictions there. at the cartels have figured out they hugged -- they can come across the border, come into the middle of our country and set up shop. at not just at the border anymore. >> sean: great to see you. we are going to go, governor rhonda santos and nikki haley. nikki haley has just been introduced. we are going to take that speech and obviously a lot has changed since the primary. let's listen into governor haley.
6:29 pm
>> my fellow republicans. president trump asked me to speak to this convention in the name of unity. [ cheering and applause ] it was a gracious invitation and i was happy to accept it. [ cheering and applause ] >> i will start by making one thing perfectly clear. donald trump has my strong endorsement period.
6:30 pm
[ cheering and applause ] >> our country is at a critical moment. we have a choice to make for more than a year, i said i vote for joe biden is a vote for president kamala harris. after seeing the debate, everyone knows it's true. if we had four more years of biden, or a single day of harris, our country will be badly worse off for the sake of our nation, we have to go with donald trump. [ cheering and applause ]
6:31 pm
>> but there is more to it than that. we should acknowledge that there are some americans who don't agree with donald trump 100 percent of the time. i happen to know some of them. and i want to speak to them tonight. [ cheering and applause ] >> my message to them is simple. you don't have to agree with trump 100 percent of the time to vote for him. [ cheering and applause ]
6:32 pm
>> take it from me, i haven't always agreed with president trump. but we agree more often then we disagree. [ cheering and applause ] >> we agree on keeping america strong. we agree on keeping america safe and we agree that democrats have moved so far to the left that they are putting our freedoms in danger. i'm here tonight because we have a country to save. and a unified republican party is essential for saving her. [ cheering and applause ]
6:33 pm
>> for those who had some doubts about president trump, i want to tell you a few things about the commander-in-chief i know and worked with. as an ambassador to the united nations, i had a front row seat to his national security policies. we sure could use those again. thank about it. when barack obama was president, vladimir putin invaded crimea. with joe biden as president, putin invaded all of ukraine. but when donald trump was president, putin did nothing. no invasions.
6:34 pm
no wars. that was no accident. prudent didn't attack ukraine because he knew donald trump was tough. a strong president doesn't start wars, a strong president prevents wars. [ cheering and applause ] >> then look at the middle east. every problem in that part of the world can be laid at the feet of iran. the dictators who chant death to america are the bank rollers and weapons suppliers for hamas and hezbollah.
6:35 pm
they are the barbaric massacres and the hostagetaking. once again compared trump and biden. trump got us out of the insane iran nuclear deal. [ cheering and applause ] >> he imposed the toughest sanctions ever on iran. and he eliminated the terrorist ... [ cheering and applause ] >> iran was too week to start any wars. they knew trump meant business and they were afraid. then there's joe biden. he lifted the sanctions, he begged them to get back into the nuclear deal, he surrendered in afghanistan. he sent every possible sign of
6:36 pm
weakness. even now while hamas is still holding america -- americans hostage, biden is pressuring israel instead of the terrorists. between israel and hamas, donald trump is clear about who is our friend and who is our enemy. [ cheering and applause ] then look at the border. it's the single biggest threat americans face. under joe biden, migrants are coming into our country by the thousands every day. we have no idea who they are, where they end up or what they plan to do. and let me remind you, kamala had one job and that was to fix
6:37 pm
the border. now imagine her in charge of the entire country. under donald trump we didn't have the disaster we did today and we won't when he has president again. [ cheering and applause ] >> i was proud to sooth -- serve in his cabinet. he appreciated advice and input. americans were well served by his presidency, even if they didn't agree with him on all things. now, to my fellow republicans. we must not only be a unified
6:38 pm
party. we must also expand our party. [ cheering and applause ] >> we are so much better when we are bigger. we are so much stronger when we welcome people into our party who have different backgrounds and experiences. and right now we need to be strong to save america. this is a defining moment. not only for our party but for our country. our fellow americans are feel for -- are fearful right now. families are suffering from inflation and wages that don't keep up with prices. young people are being indoctrinated to thank our country is racist and evil. the jewish community is facing an obscene rise in anti-semitism. too many minorities are trapped in communities, devastated by crime.
6:39 pm
our foreign enemies when when they see americans hate each other. they see that today, whether it's on college campuses are in a field in butler pennsylvania. [ applause ] >> but we can conquer those fears with strength and unity. no president can fix all of our problems alone. we have to do this together. america has an amazing ability to self correct. in this moment, we have a chance to put aside our differences and focus on what unites us and strengthens our country. [ cheering and applause ] >> let us join together as a
6:40 pm
party. let us come together as a people, as one country, strong and proud. let us show our children and the world that even on our worst day , we are blessed to live in america. god bless you, thank you, god bless the united states of america. >> now please welcome the governor. >> sean: now governor rhonda santos of the state of florida. my home state, the free state of florida is up next. we will take that speech getting out standing ovation. >> let's send joe biden back to his basement and let send donald trump back to the white house. [ cheering and applause ]
6:41 pm
>> life was more affordable win donald trump was president. our border was safer. and our country was respected when donald trump was our commander-in-chief. joe biden has failed this nation as a veteran. kai was appalled when 13 of our service members were killed in afghanistan due to joe biden's dereliction of duty. as a citizen, as a husband and as a father, i am alarmed that the current president of the united states lacks the capability to discharge the duties of his office. our enemies do not confine their designs to between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. we need a commander-in-chief who can lead 24 hours a day and seven days a week. america cannot afford four more
6:42 pm
years of a weekend at bernie's presidency. [ cheering and applause ] >> but let's be honest. let's be honest here. biden is just the figurehead. he's a tool for imposing a leftist agenda on the american people. they support open borders, allowing millions and millions of illegal aliens to pour into our country and bird in our communities, but just don't send any to martha's vineyard then they get really upset. [ cheering and applause ] >> they have unleashed progressive prosecutors across our nation who care more about coddling criminals and about protecting their own communities. they use the unelected bureaucracy to impose their will on us without our consent and
6:43 pm
they weapon eyes political power to target their political opponents like they've done to our own nominee. they want to ban gas automobiles, eliminate second mm and rights and impose gender ideology on everyone from our infantry -- infantrymen to kindergartners. they stand for de i which really means division, exclusion and indoctrination and it is wrong. they mandated that you show proof of a covid vaccine to go to a restaurant, but they oppose requiring proof of citizenship to cast a vote. they can't even define what a woman is.
6:44 pm
now donald trump stands in their way and he stands up for america. donald trump has been demonized. he's been sued, he's been prosecuted and he nearly lost his life. we cannot let him down and we cannot let america down. [ cheering and applause ] >> it is the values of this republican party that reflect our nations founding principles. we believe schools should educate, not indoctrinate. we stand for parents rights including universal school choice. we support law & order, not rioting and to disorder. seek a strong, focused united states military. not one distracted by a social agenda. we reject entrenched political
6:45 pm
class and we demand term limits for members of congress. we stand for fiscal sanity," task it -- taxes... as envisioned by our founding fathers by bringing the administrative state to heal once and for all. we believe that you must be a citizen in order to vote and that photo id should be required before casting a ballot. [ cheering and applause ] >> we stand for strong borders and believe that our nation must have a shared civic culture and we oppose any immigration that stands apart are in contrast to our american values.
6:46 pm
we believe in the principles articulated in the declaration of independence and our rights come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of the almighty including the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. now none of this is easy. but it can be done. for decades, my home state saw elections determined by razor thin margins. today due to bold leadership, the democratic party lies in ruins. the left is in retreat. freedom reigns supreme, the woke mined virus is dead and florida is a solid republican state. [ cheering and applause ]
6:47 pm
>> electing donald trump gives us the chance to do this all across america. and we have responsibilities to step up and make it happen. we have a responsibility to preserve what george washington called the sacred fire of liberty. this was a fire that burned in independence hall in 1776 when 56 men pledged their lives, fortunes and their sacred honour to establish this nation. it's a fire that burned at a cemetery in gettysburg pennsylvania when our nation's first republican president pledged this nation to a new birth of freedom. it's a fire that burned at the foot of the berlin wall in 1987 win our nation's 40th president stood in front of that wall and said tear down this wall. [ cheering and applause ]
6:48 pm
>> this is not a responsibility we should fear. it's a responsibility we should welcome. if not us, who? and if not now, when? let's make the 45th president of the united states the 47th president of the united states. let's elect republicans up and down the ballot and let's heed the call of our parties nominee to fight, fight, fight for these united states. thank you, god bless you. let's win in november. thank you so much. >> sean: a moment of unity back to back. first nikki haley and my governor rhonda santos, the great free state of florida bringing the house down. we welcome to the program jessica tarlov and... a long with...
6:49 pm
great speech tonight. >> i appreciate that. >> it's an electric environment. >> it was energizing. it took me back to the campaign but this environment here is one of unity, not just in this party. it's about unity across the country. talking to people in the hallways and people outside. people are here as americans are not republicans. >> you got an incredible response. it's so good to have you. huge congratulations. >> thrilled to be back. >> in years gone by i used to... i would walk with him on the floor of the rnc and he would walk with me on the floor of the dnc, i don't know. different time? is. >> it feels like a different time. i'm seeing very few democrats around here, besides people who work at media organizations, i
