should see exactly what the woman who leads the united states secret service is doing right now. u.s. senators are fighting for the rest of us to learn about the security failures that led to an assassination attempt on former president donald trump. last night a group of senators were demanding answers directly from the head of the secret service who, by the way, showed up here at the rnc convention. i'm harris faulkner and you are in "the faulkner focus" live from milwaukee, wisconsin. lawmakers are still trying to figure out how a killer packing heat, ammunition, scoping materials, the like was able to get just some 150 yards from the nation's 45th president. secret service director kimberly cheatle along with f.b.i. director christopher wray briefed senators on the phone about the shooting for about 30 minutes yesterday. but somehow or another the communications went silent and the senators were not getting their answers.

would senators show up to the hearing and sit like the public can and want to be present at that on monday? >> i think what we'll do is let the house proceed with theirs. we're still pushing. we sent a letter this past monday from republican judiciary committee members asking for answers and asking for her to appear. >> harris: did she respond? >> no, she has not. i have had a call into her since saturday. >> harris: subpoena gets a response. >> she will have to show up for the subpoena. if she denies that subpoena, they will have other actions. >> harris: senator marsha black burns as americans watch this we know how hard you try to get the answers. we'll watch monday as she enters the hearing in the house. it is pretty unreal she didn't acknowledge she might have been down the hallway from you or across the street or the hotel or someplace nearby. that is offensive she didn't want to give access to the

convention to delay the vote the nominate joe biden. the dnc can do what it wants and says it is not rushing that vote. of course they want to get that done by august 1st. which is before their convention. president biden sat for an interview yesterday and was asked about all that is happening against him and his calls to step aside. >> is there anything that you would look to, you personally, not anybody else, not other pundits or even perhaps family members, that you would look to to say if i see that, i will re-evaluate? >> president biden: if i had some medical condition. doctors came and said you have this problem, that problem. but i made a serious mistake in the whole debate and quite frankly i think the only thing you need to bring is wisdom. i demonstrated i know how to get things done for the country.
