[cheers and applause] >> emily: trump made sure to honor the rally goers injured in the shooting. and one special moment, he embraced the no form of corey comperatore the former firefighter and father who was killed while protecting his family. the former president then went on to lay out his vision for

america coming together to make this country great once again. >> i'm here tonight to lay out a whole vision for the whole nation to every citizen whether young or old, man or woman, democrat or republican or independent, black or white, asian or hispanic, i extend to you a hand of loyalty and of friendship. together we will lead america to new heights of greatness like the world has never seen before. and i was the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens. we are one nation under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. [cheers and applause] and we must not criminalize dissent or demonize political disagreement, which is what has been happening in our country lately.

no matter what obstacle comes our way, we will not break, we will not bend, we will not back down, and i will never stop fighting for you, your family, and our magnificent country. of course that could have been a new age, forward-looking vision. what is distinctive as you heard him say my want you to be excited. where the democrat is let's romanticize your victimhood bureau don't be excited, be angry, be victimize, be hopeles, come with us and we are as enraged as you were in a different future and that we acy might have one. that is what people come i don't care what your politics, what your party as a this is the chance to unlock those doors of people who have been trapped where it's been unsafe to think your thoughts and tell your friend you might want to vote for trump because regardless of what you think about, because of what can happen and you realize now. i think an assassination attempt for most people reminded us of the mortal nature of every single one of us and also have our own future. that is what is at stake. it is a new dawn, but it is also the first time that we have seen

president biden's house and they had a video of it because i have no cameras there. you had shots fired at the white house when sasha, obama was there and didn't know for three days. again, didn't catch the perpetrators. we had people jumping the white house fence and crocs getting inside the white house. found out people didn't have radios. they are handing out security badges and giving badges and giving them guns before security clearance is done. we called it an agency and crisis. we came up with all these things we need to do to fix the agency, and it does not appear as if they did any of those things that was nine years ago. >> emily: tell us what the issue is, leadership, di 4:30 policy or resources? what is needed to help ensure the protection of the protect these? >> jason: they have $130 million to deal with but what they don't have his good priorities. you have to do a better job of recruiting and have to do a

better job of training. and you have to figure out how to do crisis communications. when all hell breaks loose, everybody wants to talk here of the problem is nobody knows what to do. that extraction was pathetic! and as complementary as we want to be with the secret service agents who jumped on top, that should never be in that position! if they are not calling all clear, guess what, the president should not walk out. if on state, and they knew there was a problem, they should have gotten front of him. you can't have these agents with all due respect if you can't lift somebody 6'4", 200 plus pounds and carrying him off the stage by yourself, you have to get a different job within the secret service. then we also have blue ribbon commission that said, you have to hear a director who actually is from the outside. if you have all these allegiances and all the bad stuff they have gone through and what did they do, joe biden or the person joe biden liked beard and worked at pepsi. she had 20 years of experience, but did not do what their own blue panel, blue ribbon panel

said they should do. so recruitment, training, communications. some of these agents are working 45 days in a row without a day off. they literally don't have time for their families. so, the recruitment becomes pivotal. they can't even wash their clothes, have a family life, and so the attrition level is off the charts. we had all of this. we looked at all if this. and it didn't change it, that is what i'm infuriated about beards bill and james and i spoke with marshall the secret service agents what including president trump and he confirmed what we have been hearing from the director at the end of her statements, which is that the secret service is responsible for the security of the site and the protect e, period! that the working with local law enforcement or other offices that augments the secret security protection man augments their efficacy but at the end of the day, period, and of story pulled, and he brought up the

fact the director continued throwing under the bus local law enforcement as well as evading that point. and the p.r. consequent to this is massively detrimental because the secret service relies on local law enforcement to direct traffic during the motorcades everywhere we go, local snipers, et cetera but all under their wings. my question to you, the director route mike cheatle pushing the book about placing blame and reg to acknowledge that policy in a strong way, will that he wrote a relationship with allies and local law enforcement that will ultimately undermine further if the potential efficacy of secret service? >> jason: well said, the secret service my experience as a culture of deception to the congress, to the president himself, and also to the public. this is supposed to be impenetrable. remember all the leaders coming overseas, we have to protect them as well. we need to change their mission because most people, most agents actually spend time working

currency, credit card transactions, and all that thing. they blow into town and you expect them to be up to speed. you can't alter your gun, you can't be next to the president of the united states. there is a litany of things a man she will be on the hot seat on monday and i think james coburn and the committee will get after it. she doesn't have much of an answer and they have yet to go out and fully brief the united states public any other security issue, they would be out there two or three times a l the american people they know what the heck they are doing because it affects both parties. this isn't just about donald trump at every protect. >> emily: that is right. dr.. and >> dr. saphier: that secret service men are incredible people that put their lives on the length of this is a leadership issue and only by the grace of god and the turn of the head that the president is with us today. from here, it needs to be leadership and she should not have a job anymore. because she should not have a job anymore and she should be more transparent. all along, she has failed to hold a press conference, asked

questions from the media, and she ran away, literally turned on her heels and ran away from senators. so we just need to hear more from her. >> tammy: not just more from her bed as long as there are no answers about what happened, the more that boyd will be filled up with conspiracy theories and talk of things that might not be true and things that make people more paranoid and more concerned about the condition of secret service. this is a remarkable thing. there were no real answers and no real politics. it's about -- go ahead. >> jason: did you know the average uniform secret service division officer, how much training do they get in the year? when we looked at it, it is 30 minutes! 30 minutes! they are actually putting people in badges and guns without passing a security clearance. this is all on her. >> tammy: but right now beyond that, we need answers about the nature of all of this.

hospital sloan-kettering, doctors offices close to what we are seeing emergency rooms here this is because 300 of the fortune 500 companies out there use this software and there was a massive glitch that made everything go down. now, they are working to fix this but it is more difficult than you might imagine. once they fixed the glitch, they have to reset the sid systems, and this could take some time here this is one of those frightening things we are starting to see in our economy, our lives where people lose control of the information, they lose control of what they need to be doing and because of a small tech problem. >> let me say it, too doesn't this remind us if you work at memorial sloan-kettering too much of one thing is controlled by one company. aren't we asking for this? >> emily: every time you hear of the cybersecurity issues, trust me, gets palpitations and the way we are aligned with technology. our lives can be lost and people

can go into our systems and turn off icus. it is terrifying and as gerri mentioned, this is not cybersecurity incident whatsoever. this is a glitch in the software update. this coder unfortunately felt bad for this kid but he will be fired because he because the world to shut down. my son is a pilot in my son is a surgeon and i'm a physician. our world has blown up a little bit this morning for the good news, things are not coming back up online. they know what needs to be done, how to fix it so thankfully, this is a small glitch but will take a little while to recover from it. >> tammy: isn't there something the government should be curious about if there is enough to cause problems when it comes to not letting this happen because, again, too much infrastructure relying on one dynamic? >> jason: actually part of the homeland security security, cybersecurity. so if the secret service agents didn't have enough to do, this is in their portfolio. things are not going well at homeland security right now.
