honeymoon. apparently, keep in mind. go back to 2020. remember when joe -- everybody was running for president on the democratic side. and, remember, barack obama did not endorse joe biden in the beginning. he said he didn't want to put his thumb on the scale. now that joe is out and she is in. they cut this video. and it sounds like they are going to appear together somewhere real soon on the trail and i would like for that event to be gigantic. >> brian: right. they will have the big event within the next two weeks of naming a running mate, which is going to be interesting, too. he is going to be a big help. the reason why i think he waited a while because his fingerprints were all over joe biden's ouster. he was quick to say hey, she is my woman. this is great candidate. look how vibrant and great she is. made me look too obvious. >> ainsley: i let george clooney do that. >> brian: she waited on the sideline. they never expected her to consolidate support this quickly. i think on some level nancy pelosi and company, schumer were a little stunned because they

thought this would be somewhat of an open process. as nikki haley said last night. there were smart democrats to go to a younger candidate. why this candidate? she is strong on the prompter. she understands what she is supposed to do much better than joe biden is where she is going to get in trouble is when she has to cite her policy and back them up with facts. >> lawrence: brian, to that point, the democrats rally. but i don't think they expected an endorsement to come out from joe biden immediately, and, remember, it was a two-page statement. you had the actual withdrawal from the race and then you had the tweet. >> brian: might have been part of the deal though. >> lawrence: the original report which axios did a pretty good job of reporting as well that came out on that friday, originally, and they were reporting it, had said that would be no endorsement of kamala harris. he ended up doing it. >> steve: brian, you mentioned part of a deal. i think you are right. i think when schumer and nancy

talked to joe biden, they said, listen, you got get out, because you are going to destroy the party. we are going to lose. and we are going to start showing people the private polling and you are going to look terrible and go down in history as a loser. but, if you go ahead and pull out, we will -- as a party all rally around you and call you an historic figure and a hero and we love you. and that is what they have done. in the meantime on the republican side, what the republicans know is they know for a fact that one of this administration's biggest problems is the border. and kamala harris is for the most part the co-pilot to the president of the united states. so, yesterday, the republicans sponsored essentially -- they had a vote on whether or not to condemn kamala harris and her work on the border. and it was pretty much unanimous on the republican side. but then you had six democrats join the republicans because, obviously, they're concerned about the border. but then again, they also live

in districts where donald trump won. so it's problematic for them. >> ainsley: they have also released, the democratic party released or the campaign released these talking points. >> steve: somebody did. >> carley: sheet of paper, looks like the talking points joe biden pulls out of his jacket when he is going to pressers. it says these are the talking points. when she is attacked for being the border czar for her role at the border, for trying to dig out the root causes, this is what you should say to the media. >> steve: the top one is the key. >> lawrence: just for the record we weren't supposed to getting a copy of these talking points. this was supposed to be for the legislators and the surrogates. as you can see the very top of the list they are saying that she was never the border czar. >> steve: it was invented by republicans. >> ainsley: her title was to go and figure out the root causes. everyone called her the border czar.

that's what she was assigned to do, remember, when she was assigned she didn't want to talk about it. we assumed she didn't want this job that joe biden was throwing the border on her. >> steve: as soon as those talking points came out we started to hear people say them pretty much verbatim. >> lawrence: amazing how that works. >> steve: watch this. >> but it's a totally legitimate issue. she was put in charge of the border. >> no. root migration. >> now what she is up against is folks lying about her border record. calling her a border czar. >> the biden team didn't declare her the border czar. >> republicans named her the border czar. >> do you think the border would be less of a talking point now if there was less migration to the border, say, if somebody had addressed road causes of migration sooner? >> we are going to debunk the false -- the false, uh, you know, characterization of the vice president. she was not a border czar and it's not just us, independent fact-checkers have set same thing that that did not exist. and that is not true.

czar. ron, msnbc, kamala harris was appointed as the border czar. she after a while couldn't do the job, she said i'm only going to do the root causes unlike vice president president biden who took the assignment from barack obama and did it. >> ainsley: they said the border is secure. they never acknowledged there was a problem. the president didn't go down there, kamala went maybe once and not even to an area that was seeing the most problems, the most encounters. and then they realized lawrence is doing diners, everyone in the diner is saying my number one issue is either inflation or it's immigration. then the polls showed the number one issue was either inflation or immigration for people. then they say oh, we need to change the policy down at the border. three and a half years in. they just did that a month ago. so, they acknowledged finally there was a problem because they saw the polls. same thing they did with joe biden. he's fine. these are deep fakes. this is the right media. this is fox news. this is all of the

drone over the rally site, we can see the upper hand crooks appears to have given himself, take a look at this. you can see here the position crooks took on the roof of the agr building. it likely kept him concealed by the trees. and then if we go to this other video. we know that crooks was killed by a secret service counter sniper with what a federal source described as a, quote, one in a million shot. our drone revealing why. capturing the obstructed view the sniper possibly had allowing him to only see part of the gunman. can you see right there on your screen how crooks likely hid himself behind all that foliage. again, like you mentioned, we know missouri senator josh hawley has written to dhs secretary alejandro mayorkas that he has learned from a whistleblower of an alarming allegation. hawley says the whistleblower tells him local law enforcement repeatedly offered to provide drone conch in the sky above former president trump's july 13 of the campaign rally.

scoring a major win this week in court following a year's long legal battle. those who were forced out over the mandate will now have their career records corrected and religious accommodations respected. our next guest is part of that lawsuit. he did not take the vaccine, instead, opting to retire after facing hostility from leadership. here now is retired navy seal warrant officer drew and senior counselor at the first liberty institute danielle runion. for you, dru, how does it feel to be vi vindicated. >> it feels fantastic. this all started for me when 9/11 happened. i was taking a break from college. i walked into ha recruiter's office a week later and told them i wanted to serve my country. i wanted to get as close to the fight as i possibly okay and i wanted to see what i could do to get into the seal teams. i started training, got into boot camp several months later. went into the seal teams, and at the 19-year mark after serving my entire career in san diego took an assignment in hawaii. six months later i'm faced with
