position in respect to. >> iran, kamala harris, they don't realize this and we had our secretary of state saying guess what, we have a bomb coming. >> quickly, tammy bruce best selling author already has come out with "fear itself." >> this conversation perfect example some things are worth being afraid of it is supposed to be transitory so we can address it. this is about the left a posthumous weaponization of fear making it chronic, leading to mass anxiety specifically to quell populations so that it is too dangerous to participate in politics come too dangerous to talk about culture, my argument is it is not natural, it is not organic, it can be defeated. i tell you how. and obviously the timing is pretty good and i'm very proud of it. >> thank you for watching us here. "america reports" now. >> anti-israel protesters follow
10:01 am
prime minister benjamin netanyahu to florida, he has just arrived to meet with former president donald trump you saw some of that sound moments ago. a day after he met with president biden and vice president harris here in washington. good afternoon, i am bret baier. >> i'm gillian turner great to be with you, brett. don and sandra have the day off today this is "america reports." nation's now still reeling from yesterday's violence from opposing the d.c. visit although vice president harris condemned what she called "despicable acts" by the protesters she stops short of calling for the prosecution of those responsible for threa jews in a speech last. they are calling on the doj to drop the hammer. >> bret: florida republican congressman byron donalds joins us with no reaction in moments but we begin with white house correspondent peter doocy live from the north long. peter, is this how a copresidency vice president harris seems to be taking kind of a lead on foreign policy.
10:02 am
>> based on what they let us see, brett, it kind of looks like that because they had a separate netanyahu meetings at the white house yesterday but harris, the vice president, is the only one who actually briefed us afterwards. >> i also expressed with the prime minister my serious concern about the scale of human suffering in gaza. >> white house officials insist president biden has not been replaced as the lead on foreign policy, but he is being replaced on the debate stage. kamala harris claims she is ready to go head-to-head with donald trump. >> i have agreed to the previously agreed upon septembe. he agreed to that previously. now it appears he is backpedaling, but i am ready. and i think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on the debate stage. i am ready, let's go. >> there is a problem with her
10:03 am
comment there. i went back and look at the letter from may. donald trump has not agreed to terms on a harris debate, and just a debate with biden. the biden campaign only said vice president harris was prepared to debate the eventual republican vice presidential nominee. in the meantime she did just lock up her party's biggest endorsement of both obama's. >> i can't have this phone call without saying to my girl, kamala, i am proud of you. this is going to be historic. >> we called to say michelle and i could not be prouder to endorse you. >> vice president harris is here at the white house today. she has some internal meetings to camp david a couple hours from now. >> peter come we talked about this earlier over the last couple of days. president biden has said in that phone call to the campaign headquarters he will be out on
10:04 am
the campaign trail. do we have a sense he is actually going to be out on the campaign trail with vice president harris? >> they are telling us he is going to be out on the campaign trail, but something really interesting that has been overlooked with all of the other news yesterday, karine jean-pierre said it is possible as the campaign wears on kamala harris could start to distance herself from some of president biden's positions. i've been in the white house white house blew the last couple of hours going through tape. in the hallways on capitol hill and her politics were a lot more progressive than joe biden's until she joined the ticket. there will probably be things she wants to make her own steering the ship now and can steer it a lot further left than
10:05 am
joe biden was doing so we expect to see them at the democratic convention together, but there will be things she will make their own and they will be doing separately. >> gillian: peter i was or might it have a 2020 clip of kamala harris then getting vice presidential nominee along with the president figuring out they won after election night, she called him to say or he called her and she said mr. president, we did it, it's the same kind of strategy here with the endorsement reminiscent of that with today's barack obama endorsement. >> and may be it's more memorable to hear someone's voice instead of see them. the obamas i don't know what else they have going on. they probably could've gotten in front of a camera or resume or something but they decided as part of this very careful rollout of kamala harris over
10:06 am
the last couple of days that it has been making the democratic ticket a lot of money. that it was best to do it like this. you can hear the obamas you do not see them. >> bret: peter doocy live on the north long, thanks. >> former president trump and israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu are knocking heads at mar-a-lago. madison alworth covering the meeting in west palm beach, florida, what are you learning, medicine? >> good afternoon, jillian. we know prime minister benjamin netanyahu is meeting currently with former president trump. here in south florida some of the things we have learned that a been discussed president trump has talked about how the hostages need to be released as soon as possible that is something we expected him to talk about. benjamin netanyahu said time will tell if a cease-fire is near. obviously the hopes they are is that will progress smoothly and we do know these charcoal leaders have had friction in the
10:07 am
past but president donald trump trying to correct the record saying there has never been friction. they are strong allies. this is the latest in a series of meetings benjamin netanyahu has had across washington, d.c., and now in florida. we expect today's meeting to take couple of hours. we have some video we see from truth social, president trump greeting prime minister when he arrived to mar-a-lago. now the event has had a ton of security. both on palm beach as well as west palm beach. the bridge actually closed the mar-a-lago completely closed stopping road traffic particularly because of the protests we have seen and images from the last few days. we know net now met with congress and vice president kamala harris and president biden and dozens of protesters were arrested in multiple american flags were burned. yesterday on fox news former president trump who has been a staunch supporter of israel said in the country needs to find a way to end of the conflict because it is hurting israel's reputation globally.
10:08 am
they are in the meeting right now. after that meeting we do know president trump will come to the convention hall behind me for a turning point action conference. we will definitely hear from him they are but we are starting to get those things out of the meeting. the big takeaways at this point are the negotiations for those hostages, one asus fire would be negotiated, and stuff around the relationship would be between these two eat leaders. >> madison alworth thank you. >> gillian: we saw this sound bite from mar-a-lago with prime minister netanyahu and former president trump we kind of clipped the top of the last hour. wanted to show you a little bit more of that. not the best lighting but you can hear them, take a listen. >> i think her remarks were disrespectful. they weren't very nice. pertaining to israel. i actually don't know how a person could vote for her. but that is up to them. she was certainly disrespectful
10:09 am
to israel. >> mr. trump has your relationship with the prime minister repaired at all? >> it's as good as it has ever been. no president has done what i have done for israel. we've always had a good relationship. i have a secret weapon you know what it is sarah. i have sarah. as long as i have sarah that is all that matters. >> do you feel after this trip we are any closer to a cease-fire deal? >> i hope so. but i think assuming you'd be eager to help and work on it. >> are you sending teams to rome? to continue negotiations? >> dispatching a team. >> anything about the hostage negotiation? >> i think there has been some movement because of the military pressure exerted. i hope there will be sufficient
10:10 am
movement. >> it's a very tough situation. to be given back immediately because there can be no way they are in good shape. they are obviously not being treated properly. and you hope they are okay but there are a lot of hostages i'm sure that will not be okay. it is just not an acceptable situation. >> did you talk about what your relationship would look like if you are reelected question much bigger we have had a good relationship. i was very good to israel are better than any president has ever been. waited to so many golan heights we did jerusalem and built the embassy for jerusalem unfortunately the buy demonstration didn't do anything. he terminated the iran deal which was a tremendous thing. may be the best thing i did for israel but unfortunately biden administration did not do anything about it. we could've had a deal one week
10:11 am
after the election we would've had the deal with iran. and everyone would've been happy. but they didn't do anything with it. they had all the cards. iran was not using terror at all. under the trump administration we gave them no money. they didn't have money. no one was buying their oil. now maybe it's terkel bad too bad but it would've been a good deal but it would've been -- it would've saved the middle east. the biden administration she is worse than him and she is taking over so we will see how it goes. it all works out, if we win it will be very simple. it's all going to work out very quickly. if we don't we will end up with major wars on the middle east and maybe a third world war. you are closer to a third world war right now than at any time since the second world war.
10:12 am
you have never been so close because we have incompetent people running our country. thank you very much, everybody. >> thank you, press. >> bret: again former president trump with prime minister benjamin netanyahu. let's bring in republican florida congressman byron donalds who serves on the house oversight and financial services committee's. congressman, think of being. you heard the former president say vice president harris' comments after she met with the prime minister were "disrespectful" he went on to say he has a good relationship and would have a good relationship with israel should he be president again. what is your take from those remarks and what you have seen over the past couple days? >> a few things number one the disrespect started when kamala harris did not greet netanyahu when he landed in the states and jericho she passed her doing her job the presiding officer of the senate to be in the house chamber for the joint
10:13 am
session of congress when bb net now was addressing the united states of america. i think it was all tepid at best when the democratic party has a major problem with respect to israel and anti-semitism. have a large voting bloc in their party that does not want israel to be a free nation. they don't want israel to be able to protect itself. and to prosecute this war against hamas. so this is why you are seeing a lot of dissembling from kamala harris. that will continue and as a backdrop with where the world is in a president's comments of being closest to world war iii as we have ever been, who do you want back in the white house to see not just american foreign policy but the relationships with our allies? do you want kamala harris who is unproven on the world stage? or donald trump who had our country and of the world at it's most peaceful spot in decades?
10:14 am
the choice is clear. >> here is "the wall street journal" editorial board of congressmen. anti-israel protesters make netanyahu's point. not all pro-palestinian protesters are this despicable but most of the anti-israel movement despises america and seeks to intimidate democrats into submission. this faction could spoil the chicago convention and a public place near you. the prime minister in his speech, and you were there, called iran that backed and funded protesters useful idiots. >> bibi netanyahu is 100% correct. these protesters have more frequent flyer miles, they show up at a moment's notice no matter what is going on and that is because they are being funded to be there. and as this is a large and growing segment of the democratic party. this is the same group that in minnesota and michigan were voting on committed against biden when he was still around.
10:15 am
and so the democrats have a serious issue. kamala harris, quite frankly, with any statement or any positioning she has had this week does not demonstrate the clear, moral authority necessary to deal with this moment at this point in time periods hamas is a terrorist state. they should not be supported, period. >> bret: do look at this as a copresident with foreign policy? without dual meetings yesterday and we heard vice president harris after that meeting but we did not hear from president biden. how do you as a congressman look at this? >> honestly, i don't even look at it as a copresident superior to what we have is no presidency. because joe biden has been missing in action more than a year. there is no leadership. and kamala harris is not making the strong statement i believe are necessary for a potential commander and chief to demonstrate you can leave the united states of america. we are in very serious times right now.
10:16 am
we know our domestic policy issues but russia is on the move. china is on the move. iran is on the move. our president, our next president has to be able to step in on day 1 and demonstrate american leadership across the globe. we know donald trump can do that. spew one last thing, congressman, kamala harris is on the move. polls are showing she is closing the gap. some polls showing she is surpassing where president biden was. democrats seem united, seemed fired up. are you concerned at this point? >> in any campaign i've ever been and i always run scared, i always run like i'm losing the campaign. that's where you give your full effort. for people on supporting donald trump and j.d. vance we want to make sure we leave no stone unturned. that being said the bar is incredibly low for kamala harris because joe biden left no bar at all. let's be perfectly honest about that. we expected she was going to pick up some points in the
10:17 am
polling. that makes total sense but at the end of the day, when her record both in the senate as attorney general and as vice president, when that is exposed to the american people we truly believe donald trump and j.d. vance will win this november. >> bret: congressman byron donalds from florida we appreciate your time. >> anytime, thank you. >> it is a fake and fraudulent resolution, she was never assigned to the position of border czar. they are making that up. >> gillian: some democratic lawmakers and white house officials getting a little touchy now pushing back on these claims that vice president harris was over the nation's border czar. web williamson castellanos ahead on thee's debates. that's why you choose glucerna to help manage blood sugar response. uniquely designed with carbsteady. glucerna. bring on the day. maria and julio thought their life would never slow down.

>> the vp today is the most qualified person to do it to lead our efforts with mexico and the northern triangle. >> the first says vice president harris was never appointed border czar. that has never been such a position it doesn't exist. why are democrats so sensitive about the vice president and the border? >> why republicans incentive to make sensitive about not owning up to them getting in the way of a border deal? why? why won't they own up to that? >> bret: peter doocy at the white house briefing holding of the card given to democrats of talking points drilling down on the talking points to claim vice president harris was never the border czar. juan williams and alex castellanos join us next but first griff jenkins is live in our newsroom. graph, where do we know these talking points came from? do we have a sense? >> we do, brett, moments ago i got a statement from the good mitigation instructor brian

garcia from the congressional hispanic caucus he says that she developed the talking points on this card distributed to congress for the purpose of debunking the border czar they call it dismiss information. it's clear at the white house karine jean-pierre received them as well, watch. >> she was not a border czar and it is not just us, independent fact-checkers have said the same thing. that did not exist and it's not to. >> we can show you the talking points fox trot of the top vp harris was never appointed border czar, other points read she was not asked to lead on border enforcement and this one potus tasked her to lead diplomatic root cause strategies in central america not border policy, but brett, not all democrats are on board. six joint republicans yesterday passing that resolution condemning harris as a failed

border czar. republicans are questioning too if her role was limited to root causes driving migrants from mexico and central america to our southern border why then did she not want input and fox confirmed this as well from the official most familiar with push factors? >> it was reported she has never spoken with current border patrol chief jason owens or his predecessor. chief r raul ortiz. >> and a review of cvb data shows illegal crossings from harris' root causes of 140% over the trump years, 34% over all eight of the obama years. brett? >> graph, thank you. >> gillian: now the panel fox news analyst juan williams and republican media consultant alex castellanos thank you for being here today. let's pick up or graph left off.

the white house says harris was never the border czar, never in charge of immigration. what she was in charge of was basically diplomacy with the northern triangle countries. so let's take them at their word if you accept that as true, right? here is the rub, take a look at the data from customs and border patrol area showing illegal immigration from guatemala, honduras, el salvador, plus mexico is up i want to make sure i get this right for you 140% during the biden administration. that is not really a winning position to eke out for vice president harris on the face of it. >> the numbers actually are very favorable right now. for the biden/harris administration because what the numbers indicate i think 83,000 crossings in june and what they are showing in july is that the estimate from the officials will be about 60,000. basically that's what it was at the end of the trump air rock,
10:26 am
jillian. i think there has been a tremendous reduction in the crossings. >> juan, guatemala is still the second-highest country for illegal crossings aside right after mexico into the southern border. this is what she is responsible for managing. it's very difficult to make the case. >> obviously if it's about managing root causes, there've been improvements. i think that is the key for the democrats to point to the idea to have been improvements. if she was tasked with handling root causes she could say something must have happened to cause this shift. just of this week we had two of the senna loa cartel leaders, people involved in human trafficking, arrested. it was a major bust. it happened again under the biden/harris administration. >> bret: alex cowan politics often times if you are explaining you are losing. they are explaining a lot about how she is not the border czar. but these numbers are not tied
10:27 am
to her. >> i think that is exactly what is going on. i laud her efforts to distance herself from the biden administration. it is smart for her to say she was never the border czar. i think next she should explain she was never vice president and at that actually she has not met joe biden. that would work. [laughter] but she has a problem. the problem is that there is a lifetime of kamala harris statements and policy on the internet. she raised her hands in the debate and is said to people who come here illegally should get free health care. she says well if you come here illegally it shouldn't be illegal. those things are etched in stone. digital stone out there. and for her to try to move away from that, she wants to be hoped and it changed from joe biden. >> can she remake herself in the chicago convention?
10:28 am
can she erase some of that past? >> it is harder than it has ever been because there is a third force in politics now. this election may not be decided by the trump or harris campaign. it may be decided by the monster of social media. and if there is an old kamala harris out there who lives there and has said and done everything in her own words. she has got to run against that kamala harris. i think she has to undo everything she has done and believe the opposite of what she has said and that will be very hard. >> part of the reason why president don my former president trump when passing the torch to harris says look at san francisco. that's his argument going forward. that may be appealing to certain members of her base. it is certainly not appealing to the rest of the general electorate. >> no i mean he thought he used
10:29 am
to say biden was a liberal and says that she is more liberal she is radical, right? i think calling her a lunatic. >> she sort of is farther left on most policy issues than the president. >> i don't know. i think she has been clearly part of this administration and bought into this and administration's policies. i think the key on this immigration issue is that she was willing to get in the fight and alex is right. there is a video social media presence of what she said but don't forget there is also a social media presence of former president trump saying don't vote for a bipartisan deal engineered by an oklahoma republican because he wants this issue politically going into november. us because they will both be fighting their social media presence. >> right. >> bret: thanks. crime is a major concern for many voters and that could be a problem for vice president harris after many californians blamed her tenuous prosecutor for unleashing rampant crime across the state. leo terrel weighs in on all of
