something quite different. and right now kamala harris' cadre of high paid consultants and fat cat donors are frantically trying to create an alternative reality. one where kamala harris is the candidate that america has been hungering for. worried about crime? don't. because kamala is on it. >> so let's just be clear about this. kamala harris was a prosecutor. she got elected in san francisco and fought crime. >> somebody who is -- she says smart on crime. you could argue tough on crime. >> kamala harris owns the message of being tough on crime. >> laura: oh, really? because i didn't know you could be tough on crime and antipolice. >> defund the police, the issue behind it is that we need to reimagine how we are creating safety. and when you have many cities that have 1/3 of their entire city budget focused on policing. we know that is not the smart way and the best way or the right way to achieve safety.

for too long the status quo thinking has been you get more safety by putting more scopes on the street. that's wrong. >> laura: kamala harris tries to blend in to whatever background she is. in during the 2020 riots when it was trendy to be anti-law enforcement she echoed whatever trite blather liberals were posting on social media. >> part of this movement and it's not just a moment, it's a movement, standing on the shoulders of the movement before, part of this has to be about changing of the system, rehauling the system, up ending the system. this whole movement is about rightly saying we need to take a look at these budgets and figure out whether it reflects the right priority. >> laura: it's funny how you don't hear harris talk about that movement much anymore. last time i checked various blm groups were being investigated for waste, fraud and abuse of the tens of millions of funds

that they raked. in and atlanta, kamala might not be aware of this one activist found guilty of funding lavish lifestyle with donor money. it wasn't just one chapter. following the murder of george floyd in 2020 supporters donated $90 billion to black lives matter. the nonprofit ended the last fiscal year with a $9 million deficit. but that's okay. those are just inconvenient facts that kamala harris and her liberal ilk prefer not to dwell on. we are not going to let them sweep them under the rug. by giving blm status. by giving them credibility. elected officials like kamala harris did enormous harm to law enforcement and also to our own public safety. kama cameleon tries to played tough gal now in june of 2020 she jumped on the criminal rapists and murderers as well. does this scene look like a

including in her hometown of san francisco. and the short fall seems to have even reached the ranks of the u.s. park police. the head of the fraternal order of police told us at the ingraham angle that the reason that so few arrests happened at the anti-israel protests on wednesday, was because they only had 29 officers assigned to monitor. tens of thousands in the nasty mob. so, of course, vandals, they had free reign. when we asked why they didn't arrest more people, we were told, quote: we physically couldn't, we were getting our asses handed to us. they were defacing government property with pro-hamas threats in broad daylight just, you know, what? couple hundred yards, 300 yards from the capitol? why did they do it so brazenly? because they knew there would be no consequences. that's why. by the weighed kamala harris' late to the game statement that was released long after the anti-american property damage was done? that was just political butt

say when you try to track her views, it's pretty tough to kind of get them straight it seems she goes whichever way the wind goes, hard core leftist center of kamala harris. allies are trying to cover up her pro-crime record. politico reports aides and allies argue her past record shows she was a middle of the road prosecutor. she is very pragmatic said scott wiener a democratic state senator in california. she has strong core values but she is not an idealogue. now, sergeant smith, not an idealogue, does that describe the woman who was tweeting out support for that bail fund after the violent minnesota riots? that's pragmatic? >> laura, not so pragmatic. look, in june of 2020 she did a national radio interview where she said, look, we have got to defund the police and

demilitarize them and put all that money towards schools. she very famously commended eric garcetti, then the mayor of l.a. for taking $150 million out of the lapd budget. how did that work out for the lapd? now instead of graduating 200 recruits in each class, they graduate many -- maybe 30. they are bringing back retirees and daca recipients to be police officers. her policies are going to be dangerous, not just for the american law enforcement officer, but absolutely for our toughest hit cities in this nation. she wants to reimagine police. we need to support the police. >> laura: yeah, i think the 2020 riots left such a bad taste in the mouths of most americans, not everybody, but in most americans, because what started off as kind of this was wrong and what was done was horrible, you know with george floyd and

the image, turned into something much -- much worse and to people people's eyes which is the destruction of property and so many people lost their lives. that kamala harris and company don't want to talk about. so, charlie, this effort that they are putting out there to champion her as this paragon of freedom protecting safety, will it work? watch this. >> ours is a fight for freedom. in this moment across our nation, we witnessed a full-on attack on hard won, hard fought freedoms, extremists attack our freedom to live safe from gun violence. >> laura: charlie, if she wants to live free from violence, why does she not speak out in favor of policies that would actually encourage police recruitment? not demonize the police that are already on the beat? >> that's so true.

laura, and, look, kamala supporters, you know, rejected her in 2019 when she ran her failed presidential campaign because of her record of prosecuting truant children and parents and now, you know, trying to bring back that prosecutorial record, hoping that democrat voters will want them -- want a prosecutor to throw donald trump in jail. and it's very apparent what they are doing right now. they are trying to completely reboot her image and push her forward as the number one trump layer is. >> laura: sergeant smith, do you agree with this proposition that while people want -- people want people treated fairly by law enforcement, by the criminal justice system, there's no doubt about it. and i have no doubt about the fact that there have been problems, real problems in the way african-americans have been treated over time. but, at this point n. this point in our country's history, i think leaning into these issues as the way -- i don't think it's popular. i think people want safety. they want the illegals out.

and they want to crack down on these gangs and the cartels. that's what i'm getting. maybe i'm reading it wrong. i don't know. >> no. and, in fact, gallup polling tells us that people want more police officers in their neighborhood. our polling at the national police association tell us people are worried about us. they are worried about our safety. they are worried about our mental health. they don't want our police departments defunded. they want them refunded and they want more cops in their neighborhood. her policies, the policies someone like her talks about 80,000 police officers hurt in this country. assaulted. we had over 200 police officers shot already this year. 7, laura, in the last 48 hours. most police departments are short staffed. we just want to be able to do our jobs. do it safely, and keep the american public safe policies like hers are not going to help us do that.

♪ [chanting] >> laura: butler pennsylvania get ready trump is coming back two weeks after being shot in the ear and nearly lost his life. trump wrote on truth social i will be going back to butler, pennsylvania for a big and beautiful rally honoring corey and brave patriots injured two weeks ago. what a day it will be fight, fight, fight. this is coming just days after "the washington post" reported that secret service is urging trump to move it all inside. all the rallies inside. joining me now paul mauro, fox news contributor. former nypd inspector. paul, we don't know yet when the rally would be. i would imagine it would be after the dnc because the crime is still a crime scene investigation. but could he in your estimation

but less obstructed and this was the team that ended up killing crooks by the way paul, what does this all tell us? >> you know, the real rub here is the fact that the crooks got in front of two story building that two story building looks directly out onto the roof that he was on. there was a counter sniper team reportedly on that roof it's hard to envision how he was not spotted on to that roof. that really is where the investigation is going. where that counter sniper team was. that right now is the dispute that's going on amongst some of the local agencies who was supposed to be in that second floor location? but i have to speak up for the butler township police department. because they were just given traffic posts. they were outside the event. the event that there was a threat came over the radio. four of them peeled off. left their traffic post.

came running into the event. two of them went where the civilians were pointing. one gave the other one a boost up above the roof edge. that's the cop who put eyes on crooks. crooks rounded on him with the ar. according to the facts we have now. that guy dropped. the cop dropped. got on the radio. crooks was taken out of his comfort zone. that's why he had to rush the shot. some place embedded in this whole thing the locals hot service was leaking hard against, there is a local cop who stuck his head up above that roof and saved the day. >> laura: thank god he did, paul. thank god he did. i'm glad you went down there. paul, thank you so much. >> thank you. >> laura: with respect to former president trump, there's -- there is some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that, you know that, hit his ear. >> laura: how and why is this still a question trump was actually shot? are these people kidding me? now, we all saw the video. we saw the photos. we heard the shots. we saw him go down.

we saw blood on his face. so, it seems -- regular people that there is an effort because they think it helps trump politically, i guess, to minimize the attempted killing of the former and possibly future president. joining me now texas congressman ronny jackson, former white house physician under trump and obama, congressman, i know you were there, just a few hours after the president was shot. he wanted you to be there to examine him. the fbi did dry to clean up wray's remarks saying, quote: what struck former president trump in the ear was a bullet whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces fired from the deceased subject's rifle. this only came, i believe, after you called him out. you assessed the ear. so, set the record straight for us. is there any doubt in your mind that a bullet struck the president's ear? >> absolutely, positively not. laura. it was 100 percent a bullet.

the metro providers at the butler hospital stated the same. the discharge diagnosis when he was discharged from the hospital, i have reviewed the record. they documented as a gunshot wound to the right ear. i examined him just hours after it happened. it was typical of a gunshot wound. it was scooped out. it duke a piece of his -- top of his ear off. there was a lot of surrounding edema and swelling, which is very typical and a hallmark of a gunshot wound from a high powered rifle like that. there is absolutely no doubt that this was a bullet. the "new york times," i think, just came out with some stuff where they analyzed some stuff and they also said that looking at the trajectory where the bullet was fired from and where it ended up at that it was a straight shot that went right through the top of trump's ear. right ear. >> laura: they wanted medical records. congressman, they want his medical records. they hid biden's decline for years. >> yes. >> laura: all of them are complicit in the cover-up of biden. now, when we have literally a "new york times" photo where the

shot of the bullet in mid-air going -- they are like we want the medical records. are these people sick at this point? >> they are absolutely sick. laura, look, this is the establishment and i put the fbi director into that category. they are losing their minds right now because this man is an american icon. and there are people all over this country who did not intend to vote for president trump who saw him stand up in that rally with blood all over his head and stand up with defiance. they saw a leader and warrior and voting for trump. >> the left is freaking out about it right now. this was a politically motivated statement by the fbi director he should not be making statements like that. i'm glad they are walking that back. look, they don't need to give those medical records. i'm encouraging him not to. they will attack the providers at butler the same way they attacked me. if they are not saying what the left wants to hear. and president trump cares about protecting the privacy and the security of the good doctors and nurses that took care of him that night.

republican voters, democratic voters wanted her to come nowhere near the white house. she got zero delegates, she didn't even make it to the iowa caucus. i ran as a 37-year-old first time in politics, i have gotten more delegates for u.s. president than kamala harris h nonetheless, she is actually creating a risk for us in a different way. and that is that we get distracted by the shenanigans of the democrats and forget to deliver our own message of who we are and what we actually stand for. that's what i think is the big risk of kamala not that she is compelling this entire drama and poorly acted at times is a distraction for us. that's something that i have a concern about i think razzle dazzle distraction shiny october analogy. caravan, another one, thousands of people in it making its way to the southern border. and she is trying to run away from being border czar.

so that's the truth. and that's what the republicans have to keep focusing on. that's what j.d., that's what president trump, all that all the time. i would even almost ignore kamala harris and focus on what they have done to the country and how they are going to save the country. to me, that's the powerful narrative here. >> you nailed it because we are really not running against a candidate anyway. >> no we are running against a machine. we want to get in there and dismantle that machine and do it for the betterment of the american people. talk about our vision for the future. i don't think it's going to be particularly successful, laura, to go after these micropolitical attacks of kamala that she was protecting joe biden before she had a teenaged a coup on him or the fact that she was too tough as a prosecutor that lends implicit credibility to her otherwise ridiculous claim that she is a law and order candidate. these things aren't helping us. we have to offer our own vision for the future of why america first is the way not just for republicans but for the country. donald trump has done an outstanding job of that in the last several months.

tammy baldwin, rob attacking one's opponent directly, right? going right at her with a bobblehead does that work? well, you want to define your opponent, especially if you're a challenger. you know he's coming from behind to take out a well-known incumbent. but wisconsin has a habit of changing out their senators when they get a little too far, a little too. washington. and tammy baldwin has been in washington very liberal, very out of step with the state. so i think this adds really a nice, kind of shows that she's kind of a sock puppet for her democratic leadership, democratic liberals in washington. hung cao is a gop senate candidate in virginia, so he decided to use the ad his new ad to focus on his own story instead of the other person. watch. we escaped from vietnam just days before saigon fell to the communists. america saved my life. we must refuse to be intimidated. we must be fearless. jason. he's not
