this would mean that minnesota is definitely in play. and even mondale beat reagan in minnesota. most likely a democrat will win in this state, but trump got very, very close in 2016. so let's bring many our fox news contributor, we have marc thiessen with us this morning. good morning to you, marc. >> good morning, ainsley. ames indiana okay. who do you think will win and why? >> it's probably going to be mac kelly, would be the -- mark kelly, would be the most likely, because arizona's a key swing state, and she knows him from her time in the senate. it probably would be one of the threed moderate swing state governors. look, he's the most left-wing candidate of any party in modern history as you've been explaining all morning, and she doesn't -- unlike biden, she doesn't have a problem with her left-wing base. she doesn't need tim walz from minnesota to balance out her ticket. she needs to balance out her ticket with a swing moderate, swing state government in a state that she needs to win, so arizona is one, pennsylvania is another. north carolina, if she could flip north carolina, that would make trump's path to the white

but you get to raise your national profile. and the other thing, ainsley, the fact that they're not running shows this whole thing that the democrats think donald trump is a threat to democracy is untrue. if they thought donald trump was a threat to democracy, they'd be running right now because there won't be an election in four years. [laughter] they all seem pretty confident that our democracy's going to be just fine after four years of donald trump, and they'll be able to keep their powder dry and run in four years. ainsley: we'll see. fox news polling shows it's a horse race. they're tied in pennsylvania, kamala harris is ahead in minnesota by 6 points. marc, thank you so much for joining us. >> thanks, ainsley. ainsley: have a great rest of your weekend. okay, let's turn to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth who has our fox weather forecast. wic. rick: we've got a pretty nice weekend for so many across the country, not a lot of rain. show you what i'm talking about, garden variety thunderstorms that generally pop up this time of year, it's hot, it's humid, but down across texas we've got
