popular trump ideas, notably no tax on tips for service and hospitality workers. popular in nevada, one of the biggest swing states. now, the obama team everyone has to remember they never really respected biden's record of performance and at the same time they know that a bernie sanders-tim walz type harris campaign cannot and will not beat trump. therefore, her big economic speech in raleigh this friday will feature a big magic act. tonight, ladies and gentlemen, behold the spectacle with astounding skill, kamala harris will make her entire radical record and her views disappear. of course disaster. economic record indefense cybil. but the problem is the political cure they are giving her is worse than the disease. the entire strategy makes her look like a light weight who was just plain wrong on major issues for years. and while vp -- while the vp was

sitting around helping organize social events well, what did she actually accomplish? she is going to try to run away from all of her old positions. in this effort to reinvent kamala at age 60, tonight, i'm telling you, it's not going to work. first, she doesn't have the political skill to do this. it takes skill to do it. it would require huge talent to explain what you believed a month ago or four years ago you now reject. but she is not competent enough to methodically distance herself from old detailed record. now, bill clinton, barack obama, maybe they could, but she cannot. second, we have her on tape on all the issues. >> i am prepared to get rid of the filibuster, to pass the green new deal. no question i'm in favor of banning fracking. >> for people out there who like their insurance, they don't get to keep it. >> let's eliminate all of that let's move on. >> we can't treat people like criminals when they are crossing the border. >> laura: she has flip flopped on all of those issues.

white house know that kamala's nothing to do with them. >> what can i speak to is the last three and a half years, and how much the vice president was a critical partner in getting a lot of the big pieces, historic pieces done, the heavy lifting. she was part of that inflation reduction act. the american rescue plan. >> laura: those policies on which kamala did the heavy lifting are directly responsible for the inflationary crisis we are in today. data reveals that wages are still not keeping up with rising prices. even axios thinks that she will have to pull off a very delicate dance, distance herself from biden. of course, kamala knows that she'll have the full support of most people in the press behind her when she does this. but, in the end, i'm telling you guys, it's not going to work. because it just gives more credence to vance's view and the angle's moniker of two weeks ago

that she is a kama khameleon. this is a desperate move at a time when the regime media is trying to convince voters that the g.o.p. is desperate this united but that's just bunk, republicans are united and proud of their record. we don't need to restate our rebrand everything from taxes to the border to energy production. for the past two weeks, the other side has tried to cement the narrative that somehow they are on a glide path to victory but all this rigamarol just shows that they are in real trouble. the more voters focus on their pocketbooks, on crime, the migrant nightmare, the more serious they are going to get about choosing a candidate who has a record of success and one who, of course, can make america great again. >> i will terminate kamala harris' green new scam and rescind all of the unspent funds. give all of the unspent funds back to building roads and

point nationally and the fox news poll that was just released. pugh has you down by 1 point. but what does this tell you about all the good vibes of the harris tim walz ticket tonight? >> well, i think it's good vibes ventricle katieed by the media, laura. nobody actually believes it because everybody can look at their checking account. everybody can look at the price of groceries and the price of rent. they recognize that kamala harris' policies certainly on the economy but on the border as well have completely failed. and the american people are actually smart. and the media and the democrats give them no credit for this but they think that they can somehow run a campaign purely on vibes. kamala harris says in her rallies, laura, that she is going to reduce inflation starting on day one. well, day one, laura, was three and a half years ago. her policies are what caused the inflation crisis. and the american people, i think, are just too smart to buy this garbage. it's why we continue to win this race. look, we are going to run through the finish line, laura. we are going to need every single vote that we can get.

i'm as county today as when i joined this ticket that we are going to win this race. >> laura: now, senator, tonight walz agreed to a vice presidential debate on cbs, and he wrote on x see you on octobe. senator, are you in? >> look, laura, we're certainly going to debate tim walz. we just heard about this thing three hours ago. we will talk to them and figure out when we can debate. i actually think we should do more than one debate. hopefully see them october 1st. hopefully see them before or after that. it's important for the american people to see us discuss our views. if you look at the way we have run this campaign, laura, donald trump and i are giving every media interview. talking to every audience that we can get in front of because our vision is so clear. we don't think that americans who work hard and play by the rules should struggle to afford groceries. we don't think our children should be killed by fentanyl and we have a vision for how to implement public policies that are going to secure that border. cut down on the drugs. and bring the cost of everything from groceries to housing down

to reasonable levels. because we have that vision, we're going to go anywhere and talk to anybody. it's a shame that the kamala harris tim walz campaign seems to run not just from the media but from voters and i think that, again, the american people see right through it. >> laura: well, senator, is there any doubt that you will not be there on october 1st to debate walz? >> look, laura, we want to actually look at the debates. look at the moderators, talk about the rules a little bit. cbs reached out to us about this literally three hours ago. i was landing from a rally in a press conference in michigan. i strongly suspect we're going to be there on october the 1st. but we're not going to do one of these fake debates, laura, where they don't actually have an audience and set the parameters in a right way where you can have a good exchange of ideas. in other words we are not going to walk into a fake news media garbage debate. weaver going to do a real debate and if cbs agrees to it then certainly we will do it. >> laura: what's it like to work

with president trump because we're hearing from all the usual suspects that he is in a badded into, is he snapping at everyone, is he this and that. but, tonight i want to give you the chance to just tell everyone, now that you have had some time to work with president trump, what happens it been like? >> you know, it's so weird, laura, to hear the media reports and to see what they say about him and actually talk to him every day, sometimes multiple times per day. he is in a great mood. i mean, just got shot a month ago, of course. you wouldn't know it seeing or talking to the guy. but i think he feels extremely confident about how we're doing in the election. i think he is very excited about getting to work and solving the problems for the american people. but, he is just having a good time. he is laughing. he is telling jokes. he calls people and just wants to, you no he, shoot the breeze and understand what's happening in the country because he knows that's an important part of becoming a good leader and doing a good job for the american people. is he in a great mindset. and it's such a dishontd piece

of garbage that the media says that he is somehow frustrated or upset. he knows he is going to win this race, laura. most importantly he knows he is going to be able to be a very good president for the american people one more time. >> now, this story about the manipulation of headlines, via google, from the harris campaign, well, it's technically not disallowed. there is no real problem. it's been done before. but it's injecting pro-harris spin into a lot of these ads. senator, i think that's -- seems like an effort to obviously help her. they are obviously worried about their internal polls. that's obvious to me tonight. but, this is a sign of, to me, not strength but real desperation on their part that this is what they have to do? >> well, that's exactly right, laura. by the way, i talked to a number of people behind the scenes. i don't think the kamala harris campaign is especially excited about where they are no.

where the near the optimism that we have on the trump campaign. but, look, google is doing election interference, around it's not just google by the way, laura, if you go on x or any of the social media platforms, you will see "the washington post" paying for advertisements for stories that attack me and attack donald j. trump. that's not the activity of a media organization. that's the activity of a super pac. and i hope the fec looks into it. same thing with google and all these big tech companies, laura. we know we are playing in a broken fundamentally unfair game. but we also know that we're doing this for the american people. so they are going to throw everything at us. we are not going to complain about it. plow ahead do our job and remind people donald j. trump delivered peace across the world. he delivered prosperity and rising wages here at home. give him another chance, is he going to do the exact same thing one more time. >> laura: team clam still refusing to commit to her doing any press conferences check this out. >> we it kill you guys to have a

[laughter] listen, the vice president and governor walz have been busy crisscrossing this country. she said last week we will be having a sit-down here before the end of the month. >> laura: senator, that's weeks away. weeks away. >> look, laura, if she can't face a media that's fundamentally biased and friendly to her, how is she ever going to sit in a room with vladimir putin or xi jinping or any of the world leaders that you have to deal with as a united states president. i think it's very revealing, laura of her character had she is terrified of the media and terrified of taking tough questions. people say, laura, you know, the critics say it's because she is not that smart. i actually disagree with that she knows if her real views come out, the american people are never going to support a dangerous radical who opened the american southern border and they don't want somebody who is a prosecutor did to san francisco -- they don't want that to happen to the entire country.

so i think kamala harris is hiding from the media because she is hiding the truth from the american people that she is a san francisco radical, and if we give her a promotion to president of the united states. she will just take the policies that turned san francisco into a disaster nationwide. we're not going to let her. and as much as she hides from the media, she cannot hide from the american people on election day. >> laura: senator, i want you to respond to this axios piece that again, i think spoke real concern on the part of the harris campaign about her radical views and the biden record that they're going to pivot away from biden's record and key aspects and also these old positions, old, you know, four years ago, positions she had when she alan for president. what does this tell you and is this going to work? the big pivot? >> well, it tells you, laura, that they have actually ran the poll numbers and they know that this is a complete disaster. the american people don't want to ban fracking. kamala harris endorsed that they don't want to bankrupt medicare by giving it to illegal

immigrants. kamala harris endorsed that they don't want to eliminate private insurance or have an open border. kamala harris endorsed all these things and campaigned for them aggressively. they know that if the american people see their candidate she is going to lose, laura. it's our job to remind people again of the contrast. that kamala harris was a disaster. donald trump delivered peace and prosperity as much as they try to hide her away and run her out of a basement, the american people are smart. they're gonna know the truth. and they are going to not reward kamala harris when it comes to the election in november. >> laura: j.d., one of my senators -- excuse me, senator, i still call you j.d. >> please. >> laura: all these suburban women all they care about is abortion and they don't understand the decision is with the states now. it's not banned nationally even if people want them to be banned nationally. it's with the states. what do you say to suburban women out there who are marinading in this prop began be

da? first of all i don't buy this. they care about things most americans care about. grocgross public safety. where in the streets where their kids play. he wants the american people at the state level to decide abortion policy. compare that to the democrats who want to do nationalized taxpayer funded abortion up to the moment of birth. i think donald trump is actually trying to identify the reasonable compromise where he lets california figure out its abortion policy. alabama and ohio figure out their abortion policy. that is actually the common sense approach. and it's the approach that's most respectfully the american people. the democrats are obsessed with late term abortion and making sure taxpayers fund it. obviously republicans disagree with that but i think that donald trump has charted a very reasonable course for the american people. let the american people decide this. the federal government, we're going to focus on securing that border and bringing down the cost of groceries and housing. >> laura: now you went to yale

law school. you know how to make an argument. you got a one-minute pitch in a break room. a worker somewhere. you like trump and vance. you got someone in california, someone from massachusetts i don't like these guys. what is the one minute pitch to people independent but still somewhat skeptical? >> yeah, laura, i think the one minute pitch is first of all, don't believe the media lies about donald trump. believe your own remembrance of the record. and believe what actually happened when donald trump was president. we're not running in a vacuum here, laura. this is not just campaign promises. this is about a proven record of leadership that donald j. trump delivered on. we had the fastest rising wages in the country in 40 years. we had a world that was at relative peace and calm. we had manufacturing that was coming back into our country as opposed to leaving our country. and we had an energy policy that both punished the bad guys overseas but also rewarded

and a half years. so which one is it? and when you aren't built on principle, you have no driving policy that's behind you, you get a hollywood-type and you just blows with the wind. and people see right through it. >> laura: ari, they have a presidential candidate in harris who can't speak to the press. now they have a vice presidential running mate who also can't give a wide ranging interview because he is going to get nailed on all his omissions and misstatements and misrepresentations on stolen valor stuff. they are left with this just mushy, you know, vibes campaign. meanwhile, you got vance out there who torches the "new york times" today off the cuff on inflation because now it's below 3%. watch this, ari when they say inflation is down they mean from a baseline groceries 30% more

>> laura: the "new york times" is reporting that under joe biden american citizenship is being granted to immigrants at a much faster clip than during the trump years. the figures around 3.3 million new naturalized citizens and counting. now, it's obviously to most of us why this is happening and how it's happening. democrats are banking that they're going to get repaid by the newly naturalized citizens for this entire process they will end up voting democrat. according to gentleman wang whose business helps immigrants through the process, it's all about electoral outcomes. he said the surge in naturalization efficiency isn't just about clearing backlogs, it's potentially reshaping the electorate merely months before pivotal election.

privilege of citizenship have an attachment to the principles and constitution of the united states to make sure that they would be economically self-sufficient, that they would pay their own way, that they would not rely on taxpayer dollars and not commit crimes or threat of national security. all of those vetting and screening mechanisms about thrown out by the biden administration. there are no rules, there are no guardrails, it's get them in as fast as can you and make them citizens as fast as you can. >> laura: of course, steven, kamala just keeps using the same line in her speeches. we don't have to play it but she says i'm for earned an earned pathway to citizenship. she has repeated that over and over. what does that really mean? earned? >> earned means sell out scammer politicians in washington. really really want to give amnesty as much as they possibly can, as fast as they possibly can. look, we have heard this nonsense phrase earned path to citizenship to describe mass

in minnesota we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make. even if we wouldn't make the same choice for ourselves, there is a golden rule. mind your own damn business. >> laura: mind your own business? really call the kettle black. considering his record during covid which included setting up snitch lines so neighbors could turn in neighbors. let me tell you about lisa hanson mother of 8 and grandmother of 18. owned a wife and coffee business industry 90 miles south of minneapolis. she' wanted to mind her own business. when governor walz issued a shutdown during covid. she wanted to comply the shutdown orders kept coming and soon became clear that she may not have a business if she follows that order. between december 2020 and january 2021. she reopened her business on six different occasions, no one died, no one was hurt. she was just trying to take care of her family. for business disobeying governor walz she was find 1,000 bucks and sentenced to 90 days in

jail. that's how governor walz feels about minding your own business. lisa hanson joins me now. lisa, great to see you. i know you ended up serving about 60 days. but what's your message to everyone watching tonight about the type of leader tim walz really is? >> thank you, laura, for having me on. we know, us minnesotans know the type of leader that tim walz is i know personally the type of leader that he is. he is an evil man. and we have seen him orchestrate this evil. we have great concern that his evil orchestrated with harris' evil, will destroy our country. just like walls destroyed minnesota. has destroyed minnesota and some businesses. my business is gone. my business was destroyed by walz and attorney general keith ellison.

is he not the cute cuddly leader that people are making him out to be, some of the msns are making him out to be. tim walz is truly a radical tyrant. and we -- this is not a country of tyranny, this is supposed to be a republic. if we get tim walz as vice president, and harris as president, the republic is done. >> laura: well, lisa, i know you moved out of minnesota and i got to say i have spent so much time in minnesota over the years. i love minnesota. i love minnesotans. but, for the life of me, i can't believe what has happened, especially under his leadership smaps a great place. i know you are outside of minutey. great town, great city. great people. that's what americans want -- is that what voters want for the country? again, you left. why did you leave ultimately? it wasn't just going to jail.

why did you leave? >> correct. >> well, i mean, look at all the things that walz has put in place over this last year. over this last session. horrific bills that they have passed at the capitol. you know, you can't even protect yourself anymore without fear of going to jail. going to prison for a very long time. you know, we're the saption area state. if you want to have abortion right up until moment of birth, come on in to minnesota. we will do that for you. if you want to genetically alter surgery for your children, come on in to minnesota. we will do it for you. it is -- the things that this man has done to our state. >> laura: slap on the high taxes, lisa. >> what's that? >> laura: tack on high taxes on drop of it. high taxes, unbelievable
