john. >> john: let's bring in tired lieutenant general keith kel kellogg. advisor to former president trump and mike pence. this ideal that israel says through benjamin netanyahu that they will accept the latest bridging proposal but hamas yesterday rejected it because it says there is no way that hamas would agree to allow israeli forces to be on the southern tip of gaza. israel wants them there to prevent the flow of weapons back into gaza so that hamas could rearm. do you think this is going anywhere? >> thank you for having me. no. i really don't and here's why. you look at the last ten months and what has happened. there's a lot more to this cease-fire than meets the eye. just the hostilities and the hostages. they still have five americans hostage and we don't know if they are still alive because we have had no proof of life and you look at the reconstruction of all of the damage that was done there. what will happen with the
10:47 am
leadership and the government of gaza as well? they will have to be ironed out and discussed. i don't see anything in the near term. here's what i think needs to be addressed really is i know he's over there for the ninth trip trying to figure out how to do a cease-fire but i want to know where kamala harris is coming from when we talk about what is happening with israel and what's happening in gaza. that whole region. she has not come online and she is tied to the biden administration which happened in the middle east but we don't know what her plan is for discussions with hamas or hezbollah or iran. she wants to talk with saudi arabia. we want to know what she intends to do. we know what she has done in the past because she has been tied to biden. for example with afghanistan she said she was the last one in the room and we saw what happened there. the wood disasters withdrawal and the 13 dead at abigail. by the way a dignified transfer that she did not attend. we don't know what's happening and that needs to be addressed because netanyahu is not looking
10:48 am
at blink and invite them. he's at harris. >> john: she is a blank slate. there is no policy page on her website. her supporters say that she is holding off on writing detailed policy until after the election should she win. we don't have much of an idea other than what we looked at in 2019 when she unsuccessfully ran for president paired she was described as a hawk but at the same time she wanted to get back into the jcpoa which would indicate that anybody who wants to get back into that jcpoa would likely have a soft on iran policy. >> this is like rebooking tickets on the titanic. we just don't know what she wants to do and she needs to tell the american people and the reason she needs to tell the american people on national security as it's not just the economic piece or the diplomatic piece but there is the kinetic piece. as always a fight there. there's so many things that they
10:49 am
are engaging in absolute security that can get wrong and get you involved in a gunfight and the young men, allied and friends and enemies as well get killed in actions because of bad decisions and she does not have a very good track record of good decisions with national security. let's look at the southern border. she visited one time. look what she did with afghanistan. look at her noncomments on what's happening right now with hezbollah and hamas and iran as well. the american people, they deserve better. they need to know where it is the future president stand on these issues. >> john: and there is evidence that iran is behind a lot of the protests we are seeing against israel. here's what the director of national intelligence said. and recent weeks iranian government is taking advantage of the ongoing protest with the war on gaza giving the playbook of what we've seen over the years but we've observe actors tied to iran's government posing as activists online to encourage
10:50 am
protest and providing financial support to protesters yet the united states is still pretty much operating on a hands-off policy when it comes to iran. >> they look at iran as a benevolent relationship. we want to give money and they want to give aid and they shouldn't. they should look at the same thing we did with the trump administration when you have national pressure. the irani ands are bad people. they are the ones causing the problems. they are the ones that we have to go after. >> john: we should clarify to say that the irani leadership fits that leadership. there is a lot of great people in that country. >> sandra: so have you seen and heard this. free abortions and vasectomies being offered just blocks from the dnc. why planned parenthood is spouting outrage. plus this.

>> sandra: flash flooding hitting the northeast hard over the past 24 hours leaving at least one person data and one missing and more rain could still be on the way. fax meter whether all or just adam klotz joins us with what we need to know. >> we have seen a ton of rain across the portions of the mideast mid-atlantic. this is taking you through monday. afoot of rain. there's nowhere for that water to go. long island got in on the mix a little bit getting into central long island on the north side of the island. a whole bunch of communities getting a whole bunch of rain. and there is more moisture on the way. this is a little bit less drastic. it's not going to take a whole lot of rain for there to be trouble on the way as we are looking at a week a cold front drifting back across some of these areas bringing more showers and more storms to unfortunately some of these areas that have been really hard

hit. this has come at a cost for local airports as we have been seeing a 3 on a scale of 4 of her misery and duct which means a 500 cancellations and 700 delays so far today we are playg catch up a little bit. where's the flash flood for today and tomorrow? it sits on the same areas so you are looking at connecticut and stretching to the north. a lot of that is because the ground is so saturated there's nowhere for this new rain to ultimately go. >> sandra: we will keep watching. thank you very much. john. >> john: anti-israel protesters descending on chicago convention. while the dnc has out there celebrating kamala harris but can the party unite amid all the chaos? harris walz cochair chris coons on deck to react plus a live look from pennsylvania where former president trump is
