12:06 am
bad people don't say it. they don't say it. but we are don't want to say it. but we are going to have, i think, a very good election. the way you win the election is and you have to do this. i saw on a show the other day, they said, well, you have a certain amount have to allow a certain amount for cheating. said, when for cheating. i said, since when do have allow a certain do you have to allow a certain amount for cheating on other amount for cheating on the other side? you side? but you swamp them, you swamp big swamp them and we win big and all. i all we do is we focus on that. and they are. that's a bad lot. that's a bad sick lot of people. they've destroyed our country. look, they've allowed 15 million probably. that's the number 15 million people. million. 15 million people. that's my opinion. some people say it's a little bit less. what difference ? it's bigger than difference? it's bigger than most states. 15 million people to come in from prisons . they to come in from prisons. they come from prisons. many of them. they come from mental institutions and insane asylums like silence of the lamb, hannibal lecter. i wonder if he's one of them. they're terrorists coming into our country totally unchecked. we have no idea . they either hate
12:07 am
have no idea. they either hate our country or they're very stupid. i mean, 2016 build wall. >> that was one of the great slogans of that campaign. you built some of it. >> i built most of it. >> i built most of it. >> not all of it. most of it, yeah. trump too. what does? trump turned to do about the millions that have come and the millions, including thousands of chinese, we chinese, which i find quite we have we have. >> what are you going to do? >> what are you going to do? >> equal opportunity. we take from everybody. but biden knows has idea where they're coming has no idea where they're coming from. the safest border in from. we're the safest border in history. three ago, three history. three years ago, three and a half years ago, the safest border i built, 571 miles of wall, is more i said wall, which is more than i said i going to build by the way. i was going to build by the way. and then was going to add and then i was going to add another miles. this is another 200 miles. and this is despite opposition from some republicans democrats . republicans and all democrats. and the wall made a big difference. also difference. but mexico also contributes very greatly because they gave free charge , they gave us free of charge, tremendous numbers of, i would say, 28,000 soldiers free of charge . and we had the best charge. and we had the best border we've ever had. now we
12:08 am
have the worst border in the history of the country. >> how do you get it back? >> how do you get it back? >> what are you going to do to stop this? >> very much like did >> very much like i did the first time. going to first time. we're going to drill, drill we're going drill, baby. drill we're going to borders. we're to close up the borders. we're going come can come going to come in. you can come into country, you have going to come in. you can come intcome country, you have going to come in. you can come intcome inuntry, you have going to come in. you can come intcome in legally. you have going to come in. you can come intcome in legally. don't have to come in legally. don't forget, had policies forget, i had policies that nobody thought nobody ever even thought of remain in mexico. how about that? you had to remain in mexico. you mexico. we would not accept you in were in our country unless you were approved through. and we approved to come through. and we had borders. you know, approved to come through. and we had likes)orders. you know, approved to come through. and we had likes going;. you know, approved to come through. and we had likes going to 'ou know, approved to come through. and we had likes going to 'ou i

they they moved them to america. and, well, it's not just people though, is it's fentanyl. >> fentanyl coming in making making your seasonal and it's human trafficking at levels that we've never seen before. >> we had it down to one of the lowest levels ever. it's a horrible thing. the human traffic mostly in women, horrible things. you think of it as an ancient kind of a crime. it's not. and what's made it so big is the internet. believe it or not. i said, why would this be more than ever before? it's the internet, but they're coming in now. the human trafficking is the traffickers are at levels that we've never seen before , that we've never seen before, andifs that we've never seen before, and it's unbelievable what's going on. >> you deport people who come across the border. >> yeah, you're deport them. i'm going deport them. you are? going to deport them. you are? yeah i'm going deport yeah sure. i'm going to deport them. legally, them. they here legally, especially criminals. them. they here legally, especigoing criminals. them. they here legally, especigoing to criminals. them. they here legally, especigoing to getiminals. them. they here legally, especigoing to get them s. them. they here legally, especigoing to get them out we're going to get them out right away. have millions of right away. we have millions of criminals that criminals in our country that are drug are up for murder and drug dealers everything else we dealers and everything else we have. what's happened to our country is not even to be believed. these people, they're
12:10 am
destroying country . maybe in destroying our country. maybe in some people would say they've destroyed it. look at crime . destroyed it. look at the crime. in the cities. we have a new crime. called migrant crime. it's called migrant crime. it's called migrant crime. call biden crime. i call it biden migrant crime. i call it biden migrant crime allowed this crime because he's allowed this to happen. new york city has 500,000 migrants. kids can't play 500,000 migrants. kids can't play little league anymore. people can't move around the city anymore. people are being mugged. policemen are having fist fights in the middle of the street. where do you ever see that they're having fist fights now in their country. they'd be shot immediately in this country, they're politically correct. going correct. okay, but we're going to do things to help our law enforcement. we're going get enforcement. we're going to get them immunity they can't get them immunity so they can't get arrested charged and arrested and charged and destroyed, lose their houses, tougher policing. >> yeah. >> yeah. >> if stop crime, they're >> if they stop crime, they're going to be able crime. going to be able to stop crime. >> we in 2020 that the >> we learned in 2020 that the big social media there big social media giants, there were they not want were things they did not want the american to discuss. the american people to discuss. the hunter biden the laptop, the hunter biden laptop a very example laptop being a very good example of . your speech in ohio the of that. your speech in ohio the other day, talking in that state that's been associated with car
12:11 am
making for over 100 years and just flicking through the american press, particularly trump says there'll be a bloodbath if he doesn't win the election . what is happening with election. what is happening with i mean, clearly you were talking about an economic bloodbath. that's right. in terms of the car manufacturing industry and what china was doing setting up in mexico . and yet this is in mexico. and yet this is what's being pushed, picked up by left wing media sources all over the world. it's quite interesting . interesting. >> well, it happens all the time. so bloodbath talking about it's going to be a bloodbath in the auto industry because we're going lose whole industry going to lose our whole industry because to all because this guy is going to all electric cars and they're made in that's the in china. that's where the material that's the material is. that's where the minerals are. that's where everything they're to everything is. they're going to all made china and they all be made in china and they want to go all electric cars. one of the dumbest. they don't go far, they cost too much, etc, etc. want electric, etc. and if you want electric, you can electric. but you've you can get electric. but you've got other forms got to have other forms of propulsion . and we're going to propulsion. and we're going to have we're going to have have that. we're going to have gasoline . we have more gasoline gasoline. we have more gasoline than the world,
12:12 am
than any country in the world, meaning oil and gas. and we meaning oil, oil and gas. and we have it. and they don't want us to use it. you figure that one out. so the electric mandate is going to destroy the auto industry. and i said it's going to be a bloodbath. it's going to be a terrible bloodbath for the auto industry. they're being led right down. they have a leader that democrat, that would only go democrat, i guess, going guess, because i'm going to create. i guarantee you that the people within industry are people within that industry are all are with me, all the workers are with me, because the united auto workers, it's going to be put out of business. >> that's really interesting because it is part of the shift. >> and i noticed the way that bloodbath been used. it's no bloodbath has been used. it's no surprise america, many surprise that in america, many british titles are doing in british titles are doing well in america. i a feeling the america. i get a feeling the american increasingly american people increasingly don't media titles. >> well, they don't trust. >> well, they don't trust. >> but you know, when you use the word bloodbath, i did a little truth the other day. truth on on fire. it's doing truth is on on fire. it's doing great. and i it out this great. and i put it out this morning. i guess it was put out. and it talks about the word bloodbath and all of the people
12:13 am
that are complaining about it, they all used it. it's a commonly used phrase when you're getting slaughtered economically, when you're getting slaughtered socially, when you're getting slaughtered. and they use it all the time. and they use it all the time. and we have many examples and we put out all those examples. but that doesn't stop them. >> some incredible polling from the black community, more than double the numbers of the black community be supporting you this time to just four years ago, the hispanic community, i mean, the change that is going on there , change that is going on there, what is it that's attracting those democrat those traditionally democrat type voters to you? what's happening here different? >> what's the issue different community? >> so with the black community, i'm getting tremendous polling. nobody's ever seen it like for a republican. i did criminal justice reform. they know it. i did, opportunity. justice reform. they know it. i did, opportunity . we look, did, opportunity. we look, i gave them opportunities that nobody's ever given the opportunity zones and all of the other work that i've done with tim scott, a great senator from south carolina and a great guy,
12:14 am
by the way, he ran. and i say he promotes me better than he promoted himself. he's unbelievable. he goes on and he said, i don't like talking about myself. i said, that's actually a trait. myself. i said, that's actually a was'ait. myself. i said, that's actually a was that his audition to >> was that his audition to be the vp? >> well, he's one of the >> yeah, well, he's one of the many people that talk many people that people talk about and he's certainly a very capable he's he's been capable guy. but he's he's been he's incredible . but we capable guy. but he's he's been he's incredible. but we did he's been incredible. but we did opportunity but think of opportunity zones. but think of it criminal justice reform, opportunity zones. and i funded the black colleges and universities and nobody did that for years and years. they didn't do it. they just wouldn't do it. and i did it. i got it funded for a long time. and i did it. i got it funded for a longtime. for and i did it. i got it funded for a long time . for three for a long time. for three years, the heads of these universities , i'd have on universities, i'd have on average probably 45, 50 people come every year. i say, why do you keep coming? why they said, because one of them said to me, rough. he said , they make us rough. he said, they make us like we're like the old days, like we're like the old days, like from 150 years ago. and you know, it , he said. they make like from 150 years ago. and you know, it, he said. they make us feel like beggars. and i said , feel like beggars. and i said, why? he said, they make us come
12:15 am
back every year. i said, we're going to take care of you. long term took care of him. term and i took care of him. long term, said, only bad long term, i said, the only bad thing. i got him a lot of money. got more money than they got him more money than they asked for the colleges. and they perform very important perform a very important function so i took care them. job. and so i took care of them. nigel and i said, the only bad thing is i've gotten to like you guys never see you guys and i'll never see you again. i probably will see again. i probably will never see them but they are taken. them again. but they are taken. they come to they don't have to come to washington year. black washington every year. black people hispanics, very people saw that hispanics, very entrepreneurial . they entrepreneurial people. they like me, i like them. i mean, i'm leading all along texas and the texas kind of family values as well. >> perhaps . >> perhaps. >> perhaps. >> i think there's family values, important values, quite important community. i think. >> so all of the things look, we're doing so well, nobody's ever done well with the hispanics like i've done with the black community. the whole thing has been amazing . asian thing has been amazing. asian community, we're doing well with women. came out because women. it just came out because women. it just came out because women want security. they want to security. other to have security. other countries are laughing at us. we have building a nuclear have iran building a nuclear weapon. that would have never
12:16 am
happened with me . happened with me. >> well, a very bullish donald trump. you know, he clearly thinks he is going to win the election. he sees the polls going his way. and boy, doesn't he have a go at us mainstream media. well, joining me to discuss some of the content of thatis discuss some of the content of that is michael larosa, former press secretary for the first lady in the biden administration . brian, michael, just to start on the media point, i mean, i'm sure, you know, during your time working with the bidens, you've seen newspaper headlines that have made you angry because they've been out of context about trump. i mean, he does have every right to be angry , have every right to be angry, doesn't he, about the way the word bloodbath has been used . word bloodbath has been used. >> well, donald trump himself has always had a casual relationship with the with the truth himself, in our country , truth himself, in our country, so yes, i, i would tend to agree that it was probably taken out of context, but it was a
12:17 am
republican senator actually yesterday who said , a republican yesterday who said, a republican senator from louisiana who said it's this kind of language, even though he was referring to the auto industry talking about a bloodbath. if he's not elected, that's the kind of rhetoric and language that really turns off the voters that mr trump needs to win , a close election, places to win, a close election, places like in the suburbs where he lost to joe biden by 10, and lost to joe biden by 10, and lost to, i think, hillary clinton by, 6, so, you know , clinton by, 6, so, you know, that kind of language overall, while even though it was taken out of context, i'd probably use different language if i were him going forward . going forward. >> okay. i get the point. >> okay. no, i get the point. you're making . now, look, he has you're making. now, look, he has i mean, at the moment, michael, if you look at the swing states, he is clearly at the moment in the lead . and that's perhaps why the lead. and that's perhaps why he's he is. but, i he's as bullish as he is. but, i mean, i put it to you that actually maybe the democrats would to change would be better to change horses. maybe joe biden at 81,
12:18 am
is just too old to be the candidate this time round. >> well, there's two candidates who are old. they're only about three years apart. regardless of who wins. we're actually going to elect the oldest president in american history for the third time in a row. third election in a so americans have proven a row. so americans have proven that they really, don't age that they really, don't view age as an impediment, that said, you have two old men, neither of whom are particularly, popular at the moment. personally however, one has 91 indict criminal indictments against him. the other one doesn't, so that has to play a role as well, age, but also, character . age, but also, character. >> yeah. well, i you know, some people hate trump, some absolutely love him. he the very, very strong emotions that he arouses. but come on, michael, who do you think is going to win? who is going to win on november the 5th.
12:19 am
>> so i'll say two things. i do think, you know, joe biden never trailed donald trump in the polls in 2019 and 2020 when i was on the biden campaign. so it is concerning to see, joe biden consistently behind that said, polls don't tell us where we're going. they tell us where we are. so it's important to keep that in mind, it would be, they're not meant to be predictive. they are meant to be, instructive . so i would hate be, instructive. so i would hate to predict, but i do think, given the way independent voters in this country have decided elections , in the last three elections, in the last three cycles, in 2018, 2020 and 2022, independents , have swung to joe independents, have swung to joe biden. that's that's good news for the biden campaign, is that they're if they're looking at they're if they're looking at the voting behaviour and patterns of americans recently, they have reason to be optimistic . optimistic. >> all right. okay. michael
12:20 am
roesler, thank you for joining us.thank roesler, thank you for joining us. thank you for giving us your thoughts in a moment, we will get donald trump's take on prince harry. did he lie on his visa application about his drug taking ? taking? >> if they know something about the drugs and if he lied, i'll have to take appropriate
12:23 am
action. >> while the royal family continue to dominate headlines in our newspapers. and, of course, there's always an enormous level of interest in america. in them, especially from donald trump. have a listen to what he has to say, especially about prince harry's future in america. there's one family that never goes away from the headlines. it's the royal family and both sides of the pond. we talk about it constantly and of course, one of our recent exports to you is
12:24 am
prince harry, who of course, is living on the west coast. really interesting. you know, he's written this book, spare , in written this book, spare, in which he openly admits to taking psychedelic drugs, to taking cocaine, to taking cannabis , and cocaine, to taking cannabis, and no one knows the truth. what did he put on his american visa form? now we, you know, know that you're not a great fan of him or meghan. that you're not a great fan of him or meghan . we've talked him or meghan. we've talked about that before, but don't the american people deserve to know the truth about what went on that visa form? >> well, so . i mean, i >> well, i guess so. i mean, i haven't spoken about in haven't spoken about him in a long time. i think there was great disrespect done to a person that i got to know very well. and like the queen, she was unbelievable. you know, i got know her well. got to know her very well. remember, i supposed to be remember, i was supposed to be with her for 10 15 minutes with her for 10 to 15 minutes and we ended up being like for two and then we two hours, and then we had dinner following dinner the night that following night. a beautiful night. it was such a beautiful honounng night. it was such a beautiful honouring the country, but the president the states, president of the united states, really would think the really i would think the country, but they were honouring me i got to know her very
12:25 am
me and i got to know her very well over the course of the couple of years. and she was unbelievable. and i thought she was treated very disrespected , was treated very disrespected, poorly them, very, very she , poorly by them, very, very she, you know, i would say, although she wouldn't show it because she was strong and smart, but i would imagine they broke her heart . the things that they were heart. the things that they were saying so bad and so saying were so bad and so horrible . and, she was in her horrible. and, she was in her 90s and hearing this stuff. i think they broke her heart, i think they broke her heart, i think was horrible. i think they really hurt her very bad. >> if he's if he's lied on his visa form , doesn't the truth visa form, doesn't the truth need to come out? >> we'll have to should he >> we'll have to see should he get privileges that get special privileges that nobody else does? >> and have to see if >> no. and we'll have to see if they something about the they know something about the drugs. lied, i'll have drugs. and if he lied, i'll have to appropriate action. to take appropriate action. >> appropriate yeah. >> appropriate action? yeah. which not staying. which might mean not staying. >> i don't know, you'll have to tell you just have to tell tell me. you just have to tell me would. you would have me you would. you would have thought they would known thought they would have known this but this a long time ago, but i thought were very thought they were very disrespectful to the family, to the family big fan the royal family i'm a big fan of concept of the royal of the concept of the royal family and the royal family. now, prejudiced
12:26 am
now, i'm a little prejudiced because the queen was because i thought the queen was incredible. think of it incredible. i mean, think of it all those years, 75 years. she's almost made a mistake. almost never made a mistake. >> it's almost unbelievable, right? >> you know, i see politicians , >> you know, i see politicians, they make mistakes every day. biden, every day. he makes a mistake . mistake. >> well, all make mistakes. >> well, we all make mistakes. >> well, we all make mistakes. >> can't talk. >> he can't talk. >> he can't talk. >> can't put two sentences >> he can't put two sentences together. made together. she never, like, made a mistake if think about a mistake. if you think about it, everything and it was a it, everything was and it was a very interesting so when very interesting thing. so when i and it turned out i was with her and it turned out to a real relationship, to be a real relationship, somehow we just got along and she said it to people and i say it to people. but i said, who is your favourite prime minister oh, i like them all. oh, they were all wonderful, weren't they?i were all wonderful, weren't they? i said, well, yeah, but did you like winston churchill the best? who did? oh, he was lovely. but no, i liked every one of them. i liked them all, i said, and i couldn't get her to say one. i couldn't do it. i tried and then i said, who is your president ? your favourite president? honestly, i like them all so much. were all so much. they were all so wonderful. didn't you like wonderful. but didn't you like ronald best? ronald reagan the best? no, i thought he was wonderful , but i
12:27 am
thought he was wonderful, but i liked all. i got along with liked them all. i got along with everyone realised this was everyone and i realised this was genius because i don't walk out saying she liked this one. she like that one. she liked them all. she liked them all. she was unbelievable . and you know, when unbelievable. and you know, when you see the people, the lightweights that we have to watch today and nowadays and watching like our president, he goes every day. he can't he can't speak. she went through years and years , decades and years and years, decades and decades. i mean, look, she was without making a mistake. >> incredible woman. >> incredible woman. >> and of course, charles had a long wait to king. and now long wait to be king. and now and cancer. and and now he's got cancer. and i know you and he have got know that you and he have got some different views on some slightly different views on things, no, we have things, but no, we have different views. >> along. i think >> we got along. i think he's a really wonderful got really wonderful guy. we got along. little bit more along. he was a little bit more into restriction into environmental restriction than yeah, i'm an than i am. yeah, i'm an environmental ist. i feel in a environmentalist. i feel in a true sense, but i'm a different kind environmentalist . you kind of environmentalist. you know, want to i want to get know, i want to i want to get things built. want to get things built. i want to get things done. he was very much into and he into the environment and he meant the heart. now meant it from the heart. now i got know him very well.
12:28 am
got to know him very well. i like him and i hope he's going to be okay. yeah yeah. >> and kate, course, who >> and kate, of course, who i mean, of us have felt mean, so many of us have felt that obviously been mean, so many of us have felt tha had obviously been mean, so many of us have felt tha had a obviously been mean, so many of us have felt tha had a major obviously been mean, so many of us have felt tha had a major surgery,y been mean, so many of us have felt tha had a major surgery, abeen ill, had a major surgery, a photograph that the press say was doctored. now an enormous row. it's pretty tough being in her position, isn't it? >> well, that shouldn't be a big deal >> well, that shouldn't be a big deal, because everybody doctors, you these movie actors you look at these movie actors and you see a movie actor and you meet and you say, is you meet them and you say, is that the same in the that the same person in the picture, and looked at that, picture, and i looked at that, actually, it was very actually, and it was a very minor doctoring. don't minor doctoring. i don't understand could be understand why there could be such a. >> i think she'll be back. i think she'll be back. >> she's she's she's i mean, it's rough that, you it's a rough period that, you know , they're really. they went know, they're really. they went after her. >> the whole family having a >> the whole family is having a rough trump no fan rough period. well, trump no fan of prince harry. and who knows what will happen if he's president? i wonder? i'm joined by broadcast journalist judita dasilva judita. the real question here is don't the american public deserve to know the truth either? he lied on the
12:29 am
visa forms or was given a free pass by the biden administration. i mean, it is a fair question, isn't it? >> i mean, i think it's kind of you have to approach it the same way as the topic. we just saw you talking when he talked about, princess these are about, princess kate, these are not civilians. whether not everyday civilians. whether you like or dislike prince harry, he's not an everyday , harry, he's not an everyday, civilian. so he's afforded certain protections that not the everyday that the everyday person doesn't, doesn't have because they don't need it. so to say that his application should be made public information is just unjustifiable , because at the unjustifiable, because at the end of the day, there are certain certain risks. he is open to that. everyone else isn't, and doing that opens him up even further to that . yes, up even further to that. yes, you have there has to be scrutiny of his application and where there are holes, those holes have to be investigated. but that is something that shouldn't public fodder, shouldn't be public fodder, because end of day, because at the end of the day, we this time , the social we live in this time, the social media where everyone feels media era where everyone feels they everything media era where everyone feels theythat everything media era where everyone feels theythat isn't everything media era where everyone feels theythat isn't healthy hing media era where everyone feels theythat isn't healthy and and that just isn't healthy and it justified. and i think
12:30 am
it isn't justified. and i think that harry needs to be that prince harry needs to be afforded more grace. afforded a bit more grace. whether or not. whether you like him or not. >> yeah, i get the point you're making. however a lot of people here, not just donald trump, do do feel that somehow he's either lied or the rules have been changed. i don't know, but i do understand your point. people in very high positions of profile do do need some degree of privacy . judita i understand privacy. judita i understand when you saw the earlier clip , i when you saw the earlier clip, i was talking with trump about the quite rapid rise in support that he's had from black and hispanic voters, and i understand you've got some thoughts on that. i do, because it's something that a lot of i've talked about a lot of black journalists, and i think that this is a moment a very important watershed moment when it comes to the democrats and going into the election. >> you have understand that >> you have to understand that whether opinion you whether whatever opinion you have trump, he's very have of donald trump, he's very cunning comes from a cunning because he comes from a pedigree that speaks to the new generation. a tv man. he generation. he's a tv man. he was a reality personality. he's a social media politician. he
12:31 am
knows how to pander when he achieves something he bandages about with rhetoric and let's, you know, it has been done . when you know, it has been done. when it to the black vote, the it comes to the black vote, the new new of voters are new the new wave of voters are not the generation that are having lived memory of civil rights. it's historical . it's rights. it's historical. it's historical learning to them. so the fealty that black voters have kind of always historically had the democratic party comes from lived memory of civil rights affiliation. the new voters don't have that. if you don't appeal to them and speak to a language that they understand , they do not feel understand, they do not feel that they are beholden to the democratic vote. and so that is why you're finding that there is an increased mood where black an increased mood where a black person choose, do person will now just choose, do you language you speak a language i understand and do you appeal to me? don't care who you are me? i don't care who you are until the democrats understand that people that the young black people don't owe you anything. you have to work to earn their vote. you will lose them to donald trump because he is speaking a language that appeals to them,
12:32 am
which is glossy. it's flashy , which is glossy. it's flashy, it's bombastic, and it's braggy. and that's kind of language and that's the kind of language they . they understand. >> yeah, no, you're right, it is. the young black voters , is. the young black voters, particularly the young, that are moving to him. judy, many thanks for your thoughts and comments on and black vote now on harry and the black vote now for the single most important part interview . for the single most important part interview. some of part of this interview. some of trump's comments on nato that were recently made have been twisted by those that say america would withdraw from the world stage and leave nato if he became the next president. i'm pleased to say this interview disproves that completely. >> so if they play fair, if they start to play fair, america's there. >> yes, 100, 100. >> thank
12:36 am
he said. and it's rare, isn't it? for political leaders to be as unequivocal as that. listen to this clip about nato and the reasons why he sometimes says the things that he does . now, the things that he does. now, the things that he does. now, the massive debate back across the massive debate back across the pond is nato. everyone is talking nato every day. it was your comments about them not paying your comments about them not paying enough. >> they got to pay. and you said this back in 2017 and 18 when you were president, you visited brussels. >> you said it again recently. you made a comment, well, the russians can do whatever they want. if these guys don't pay, that's now being used. >> well, they can use it. i don't really care if they use it, because what i'm saying is that's a form of negotiation. why should we guard these these countries that have a lot of money and the united states was paying money and the united states was paying for most of nato. and when i went there and i already had it out with them, and now they stop paying again, but now they're paying because of those comments you 2 or
12:37 am
comments that you saw 2 or 3 weeks ago. don't know if you weeks ago. i don't know if you know, but lot money has know, but a lot of money has come since those comments come in since those comments were made. nato not were made. so nato was not paying. and well, the paying. and i said, well, the united states, they take advantage the us on trade advantage of the us on trade like crazy. know , as bad as like crazy. you know, as bad as almost anybody. and top almost anybody. and then on top of it , the nato would largely of it, the nato would largely similar countries, the same countries , nato, they weren't countries, nato, they weren't paying countries, nato, they weren't paying their and went paying their bills. and i went to the first meeting and i saw that i didn't want to do it. my first meeting, i just got there, but to the first meeting but i went to the first meeting early my administration early in my administration and i saw what on, and saw what was going on, and i said, you're going to have to pay said, you're going to have to pay and pay your bills. everybody and the i hit him the second meeting, i hit him hard and the question was asked by the head of a major country in front of everyone 28 in front of everyone else, 28 countries at time, including countries at the time, including us. said. so if we don't us. they said. so if we don't pay us. they said. so if we don't pay our bills, are you going to protect us from russia? i said, you you're delinquent ? you mean you're delinquent? you're not paying the bills? yes. not going to pay yes. nope. i'm not going to pay you . we're not going do it. you. we're not going to do it. we're going to defend if we're not going to defend you if you're paying bills, you're not paying your bills, we're to defend you. we're not going to defend you. it's simple and hundreds of it's very simple and hundreds of billions of came flowing
12:38 am
billions of dollars came flowing in. if i say yes, i am, in. now, if i say yes, i am, they're not going to pay their bills. why would they that? bills. why would they do that? obama would go make a speech. bush make a speech. and bush would go make a speech. and frankly, don't frankly, my biggest fan, i don't know still true. know if that's still true. i would so. secretary the would hope so. secretary the secretary—general, mr stoltenberg, . he couldn't stoltenberg, was. he couldn't believe it. he said, i can't believe it. he said, i can't believe it. he said, i can't believe it . okay. he got people believe it. okay. he got people to pay up hundreds of billions of dollars. and nato became strong because of me. now nato has to treat the us fairly because if it's not for the united states, nato literally doesn't even exist . but they doesn't even exist. but they took advantage of us like most countries do. >> okay . i mean, this countries do. >> okay. i mean, this is being used in brussels as we've got to have a european defence force even talk of brussels having a nuclear weapon . let's just try nuclear weapon. let's just try and get somewhere this. if and get somewhere on this. if they start to pay their bills properly and the club is fair , properly and the club is fair, are places like poland defended? will america be there? >> yeah, but you know, the united states should pay its
12:39 am
fair share. not everybody else's. >> fair share. no, no. >> fair share. no, no. >> fair share. no, no. >> fair enough. i believe the united states was paying 90% of nato. the cost of nato could be 100. it was the most unfair thing. and don't forget, it's more important to them than it is to us. we have an ocean in between some problems. okay? we have a nice beautiful ocean have a nice big, beautiful ocean andifs have a nice big, beautiful ocean and it's more important for them. would take an them. they would take an advantage and they did. they took advantage of us on trade and they took advantage. >> they play fair, if they >> on if they play fair, if they start play fair, america's there. >> yes, 100, 100. >> thank you. >> thank you. >> and the other big one, of course, is ukraine. america has given $75 billion to ukraine. >> much more double double maybe triple that huge amounts of money. >> you've said before you believe a negotiation can take place to find peace . you could place to find peace. you could sort it out quickly. but is putin the kind of man we can negotiate with? >> yeah, i think he is. so we did very well with him. look, you know, i'm the one that was the one i stopped the pipeline. nord stream two people don't realise that. you know, they say
12:40 am
i i like putin. i got along i like i like putin. i got along with putin. great. i got along with putin. great. i got along with president xi. great. that's a a bad thing. a good thing. not a bad thing. but stopped the pipeline. but i stopped the pipeline. putin would say you're like, putin would say if you're like, supposed be my friend, i'd supposed to be my friend, i'd hate to see you when you were my enemy because i had it done. and then biden came in and right away approved it. going to away he approved it. going to germany and over europe. the germany and all over europe. the pipeline be just about the pipeline must be just about the biggest strength, he believes. >> excuse me? >> excuse me? >> putin responds strength. >> putin responds to strength. >> putin responds to strength. >> know. don't know >> i don't know. i don't know what responds to. he what he responds to. he responded to me. i can tell you one certainly wouldn't one thing. he certainly wouldn't have ukraine. no way. have gone into ukraine. no way. and he didn't. you know, people say, do know say, well, how do you know that? even democrats say he wouldn't have president , have gone if i were president, you wouldn't have ukraine. you wouldn't israel. the wouldn't have had israel. the attack on october 7th would never have taken place. iran was broke. they had no money. i said, anybody that buys oil from iran can't do business in the united states. and biden comes along and he lifted everything. now iran has $221 billion, 221 billion. on top of that, we gave
12:41 am
them $6 billion for a couple of hostages , for five hostages, hostages, for five hostages, 6 billion. that's a lot that's a lot of money. and we gave them 10 billion for our electric bills to iraq . now why are we bills to iraq. now why are we involved with electricity for iraq ? and they don't treat us iraq? and they don't treat us with great respect. in all fairness, essentially , they're a fairness, essentially, they're a subsidiary of iran, if you think about it. and that's the way it is. >> so we're facing all these problems. we've got a conservative party in the uk in a rapid downward spiral, it would seem, if you believe the opinion polls and see the arguments, a labour party massively ahead in the polls . massively ahead in the polls. sir keir starmer is almost certainly going to be the next british prime minister. i just wondered has he reached out to you at all in any way? >> i'm not reaching out. i'm not president right now. no. reach out if it's appropriate , it's out if it's appropriate, it's not my job to reach out. he's not my job to reach out. he's not many of them. many of them call me many foreign leaders. i had viktor orban here who was a very powerful leader hungary
12:42 am
very powerful leader in hungary and prime minister, and he actually said the reason the world is exploding is because trump's not president. if trump were president, none of trump's not president. if trump were president , none of these were president, none of these things would happening. things would be happening. >> we'd also got >> well, we'd also we also got china about. and our china to think about. and our friends sky news australia friends at sky news australia wanted ask this. wanted me to ask you this. the aukus that's place on aukus deal that's in place on nuclear submarines , america, you nuclear submarines, america, you know, uk, australia, very, know, the uk, australia, very, very important deal. it's there to try and combat that huge growth, naval growth in china. but now of course, things have changed in australia. we've got a labour government in australia . the previous ambassador, joe hockey was quite a good hockey i think was quite a good friend of yours. you got on pretty well with him they've pretty well with him now they've appointed kevin former appointed kevin rudd, former labour . i mean he has said labour mp. i mean he has said the most horrible things. you are a destructive . you were are a destructive. you were a destructive president, a traitor to the west . and he's now to the west. and he's now australia's ambassador in washington. >> yeah. well, i don't know. >> yeah. well, i don't know. >> would you say, would you take a phone call from him? >> he won't be there long if that's the case. i don't know much about him. i heard he was a
12:43 am
little nasty. he's little bit nasty. i hear he's not brightest but not the brightest bulb, but i don't about him. but don't know much about him. but if. if he's at all hostile, he will not be there long. okay. >> fair enough. finally, are you looking forward to this campaign? this election? i've been. >> you've been campaigning. >> you've been campaigning. >> i've been campaigning. >> i've been campaigning. >> how are doing it? >> how are you doing it? >> how are you doing it? >> you've all these legal >> you've got all these legal cases mounting they cases mounting up. they valued mar—a—lago . oh, yeah. at $18 mar—a—lago. oh, yeah. at $18 million. i mean, because the courts are rigged. >> what's going on? >> what's going on? >> the courts are rigged. they did. they valued it. it had an appraisal at 1.5 billion. 1 billion? who knows billion? 2 billion. who knows what worth ? it's worth what it's worth? it's worth because was good for their because that was good for their narrative . so they valued it at narrative. so they valued it at $18 million because it's a crooked legal system, very crooked. that's why people are leaving new york. companies are fleeing new york because of even this they're leaving this decision. they're leaving new york. and no, they come after because i'm in the after me because i'm in the election. if i didn't run or if i was in fourth place or fifth place place, there'd be place or ninth place, there'd be no, no, no attacks. and if we
12:44 am
don't win, i'll tell you. i made the statement the other day. no november 5th. that's election day. not that far away . november day. not that far away. november 5th is going to be the most important day in the history of our country. with that being said, seven months is a long time when you have somebody as destructive and incompetent as this president, that's a long time. a lot of bad things can happen to our country in that seven months. >> donald trump, thank you. >> donald trump, thank you. >> thank you very much. thank you very much . you very much. >> well, i'm joined by former nato commander, rear admiral chris parry. chris, this does at least put to bed the stories that we've been hearing from former foreign secretaries and many in mainstream media that somehow trump's america would walk away from nato , provided we walk away from nato, provided we all play with the rules. they're they're they're with us. that must be good news. >> no, nigel, we've spoken about this before, and we never believed that was the case. there's a lot of sort of internal and external audiences
12:45 am
that trump is playing to right now, about ten years now, but for about ten years now, but for about ten years now, american americans have now, the american americans have been saying, look, in the past, whenever there's been trouble in the world, we've always been the sheriff. we hand out a few deputy's badges, form a posse deputy's badges, we form a posse or we sort it out or a coalition we sort it out and then we go home, but they've been saying for some time now, unless you invest in your defence, in your region , whether defence, in your region, whether it's europe or the asia pacific. the cavalry ain't going to come. it's as simple as that. but every time either israel or south korea or others have actually called and said, look, we can't cope with this. the americans have turned up, and so i believe what the american establishment, and also president trump says , of course, president trump says, of course, he's slightly wrong, of course, with how much america contributes, it's about 70, not 90 or 100, and of course, he's a bit sort of it's still a lot. oh, no, it's far too much. and we've all been freeloading on america, but that it suits america. really? because they've
12:46 am
got a lot of bases here in europe. they get a lot of support from us. and if they're going to lead the free world against autocrat coalition against this autocrat coalition of russia, china, iran and north korea, they're going to need our help. i'll give you an example. the united states navy can't be everywhere at but you everywhere at once. but if you you up all the warships, you add up all the warships, we've in the free world, we've got in the free world, it's about a thousand warships. and that's enough to take on russia, china, iran , if we have russia, china, iran, if we have to. that's the point, america knows that. president trump knows that. president trump knows that. president trump knows that. and i think we don't need to worry about the alliance. the alliance is the most successful political military alliance, in history. and it's still going strong . and it's still going strong. >> yeah. i mean, i think that's right. and i, you know , really, right. and i, you know, really, really hope and pray that trump being as clear as he was 100, puts to bed some of these really rather ridiculous. and i think being used for political reasons stories chris the world did seem a safer place during trump's
12:47 am
four years than it does under biden's . yeah there's no biden's. yeah there's no question about that. >> i'm not a great fan of president obama . i think every president obama. i think every crisis we've got in the world today is down to president obama's inaction. and of course, president was the president biden was the vice president for obama. and we're seeing continuation that seeing a continuation of that inaction and weakness that is perceived by these autocratic rulers. one word of caution, i will say, is that when president trump was in power, all the sort of academics and senior military i met from china and russia said , you know, how do we deal with this guy, and i said, well, you can't. he's a businessman. he if you need to read art of the you need to read the art of the deal you need to read the art of the deal, know him now. deal, they sort of know him now. so during his second terms, he's going have to come with going to have to come up with some other form statecraft to some other form of statecraft to deal these people, because deal with these people, because the putin and xi the likes of putin and xi jinping, they're all going to be waiting knowing what he waiting for him, knowing what he did first time and seeing did the first time and seeing whether he's actually got something behind no something else behind him. no a very interesting thought. >> chris parry , thank you very
12:48 am
12:51 am
? well, joining me is 7 well, joining me is democrat strategist hank sheinkopf. hank have to say, i know you're on the other side of the argument from trump, but he does actually look increasingly confident about this year's election. >> certainly he does. he >> certainly he does. and he should . he's doing very well should. he's doing very well within his own party. he was able to best the candidate within his own that tried within his own party that tried to defeat him in a primary. he's cleared the field and he controls his party, so why shouldn't he feel confident ? shouldn't he feel confident? >> yeah. no, no, i get that. so
12:52 am
what are the democrats have to do, hank? do they have to change strategy or has it has the time come to admit that somehow biden is not connecting ? is just not connecting? >> well, you have to admit that biden is somehow not connecting. but we're now not to april of 2024. the election is november 2024. the election is november 2024. there's a lot that can be done , you know, really, done, you know, really, elections are often won in the last six weeks here in the united states of a campaign. these campaigns are interminable. they go on for a long time. when i first started, the campaign the presidential campaign ran from day , september until from labour day, september until november. not anymore. are from labour day, september until novyearer. not anymore. are from labour day, september until nov year events. nymore. are from labour day, september until nov year events. so nore. are from labour day, september until nov year events. so there's are two year events. so there's a lot that can be done now. >> there is. and do you think it's going to be a tight one again? is it down to a few hundred thousand voters in half a dozen states? >> it is certainly going to be a tight one. you're probably mark this at three points, 3 to 5 at the top between each of them. the question will be what is the event that happens that switches the direction of the campaign? it's something goes it's always something that goes
12:53 am
on unexpected , that will on that is unexpected, that will change the direction one way or another. yeah no, that's a very, very fair comment, hank, thank you very much indeed for giving us your thoughts. >> well, picking up of the back of all of this at the top of the houris of all of this at the top of the hour is jacob rees—mogg. jacob, what have you got coming up? >> i'm doing exactly what you say. >> your good advice. i'm picking up you've been saying. up on what you've been saying. this extraordinary about this extraordinary story about trump saying there'd be a bloodbath if the car industry were closed down. nothing to do with riots . and this has been with riots. and this has been distorted by the left wing media and i'll be talking about fake news and how that has a bad effect on our understanding of what's going on in reality . and what's going on in reality. and these pious lefties pretend they know the truth and actually they peddle disinformation . peddle disinformation. >> yeah, i better get into i better get in touch with mar—a—lago and get and get trump to listen in to your show. because i'd never heard of the tum fake news until he came

along. jacob, thank you very much. well, i'll be back with you in london tomorrow, i hope, very much, and all it remains is to say big thanks to trump and his team and mar—a—lago for hosting gb news. i think it's been another really big step forward for our channel. our competitors will absolutely hate it . it. >> looks like things are heating up boxt boiler boilers sponsors of weather on gb news. >> hi there and welcome to the latest gb news forecast from the met office. cloud will thicken for many of us over the next 24 hours, turning damp, but the rain does ease later on. now we're going to see whether system approach from the southwest, associated with an area of low pressure that's forming at the moment, and that's going to push finger of rain into much of wales, southwest england and then overnight, northern ireland. southern eventually central scotland, as well as parts of the midlands and east anglia,
