10:08 am
incredibly tough for her family. joining us is gb news royal joining us now is gb news royal correspondent cameron walker, who's castle . who's outside windsor castle. cameron, a huge shock. how's the feeling been overnight with people digesting the news since her announcement yesterday ? her announcement yesterday? >> yeah, ben, as you say, a huge shock. but there's been a huge outpouring of love and support for the princess of wales. early this morning, a member of the pubuc this morning, a member of the public laid flowers at the gates of windsor castle for the princess. the police have since taken them inside the grounds. the princess lives with prince william and her three young children inside the grounds of windsor castle at adelaide cottage, and clearly this has been a lot for the princess to take in herself being diagnosed with cancer and indeed for prince william, a huge burden on his shoulders. now both his father, the king and his wife, the princess of wales, have are battling cancer at the moment. but the priority for the prince and princess, i'm told, is very much their children . and they much their children. and they told their children of the
10:09 am
princess's diagnosis at a time that was right for them. and they are now, of course, on their easter holidays from school. and that is why the princess decided to deliver her message nation last message to the nation last night, telling the world of her cancer now the cancer diagnosis now that the children are in the privacy of their own home and can be protected now, there's been a huge outpouring from people close to the prince and princess of wales as well. in the last houn of wales as well. in the last hour, we've had a message from charles the brother of charles spencer, the brother of the princess diana , who the late princess diana, who said the princess's message was incredible, showed incredible strength and poise. the king's spokesperson last night told us that the king is proud of his beloved daughter in law for her courage. james middleton, who is catherine, princess catherine's younger brother, who posted this lovely photograph on instagram of him and catherine when they were children. he said over the years we have climbed many mountains as a family. mountains together as a family. we will climb this one with you too. the and duchess of too. the duke and duchess of sussex has expressed sussex has also expressed a message support . there's been message of support. there's been huge interest in the princess of
10:10 am
wales with unfounded conspiracy theories, quite mean and harsh conspiracy on the conspiracy theories on the internet, and the princess wishes for privacy to undergo her treatment. having that preventative chemotherapy . she's preventative chemotherapy. she's 42 years old. she will be receiving the best care this country can offer, and all she wants now is to retreat into the privacy of windsor or norfolk with her family and be supported by them at this difficult time . by them at this difficult time. >> cameron walker, thank you very much indeed . well, i'd like very much indeed. well, i'd like to welcome in our panel for this morning. the broadcaster and author jenni trent hughes and authorjenni trent hughes and the olympian kriss akabusi . the olympian kriss akabusi. really good to see you both this morning. good morning. and let's speak about princess speak first about the princess of shock last of wales. such a shock last night to see that video of her discussing what she's been going through the few months. through for the past few months. what like to say? what would you like to say? jenny i, i found it overwhelming . not because i'm a royalist, but because i'm a mother. and when you're a parent, the first
10:11 am
thing that you think of when you hear any kind of sad story is you put yourself in the what if to i had tell my child and thinking about that, i couldn't breathe. i just, thinking about that, i couldn't breathe. ijust, i thinking about that, i couldn't breathe. i just, i thought it was going to be sick because it just that's the worst bit of it for me. not that she's william's wife, not that she's going to be queen someday, that she is a mother. and she has to explain this to her children, and there's nothing worse. >> and such a tiny children as well. i mean, george is the eldest and he's only ten years old. how do you even begin to explain that to children? >> yeah, mean, i honestly, >> yeah, i mean, i honestly, i think she'll have way think she'll have her own way and her mannerisms and the children will know their mum. i mean, for me , really, when mean, for me, really, when i heard it, first of all, totally surprised . didn't expect it. and surprised. didn't expect it. and i'm trying to imagine what the princess herself was really, really thinking in the moments
10:12 am
pnor really thinking in the moments prior to being forced out to reveal such intimate and private details, and what proof of her courage and bravery ? oh no. courage and bravery? oh no. absolutely, absolutely. and fortitude . but i'm just trying fortitude. but i'm just trying to imagine what she must have actually felt like. yes, and she's come across beautifully. the reporter there did a great piece there, but there's this woman here who is a private person. yes, she's a princess. she's the first family, but a private person, and she's been forced by us. and i mean all of us. all of us are complicit. forced by us. and i mean all of us. all of us are complicit . you us. all of us are complicit. you know, i you know, you can blame the media. you can blame know all of us who hasn't had a conversation in the last couple of three weeks about, oh, what's going on? where is she? you know, and people ask you questions. what do you think ? questions. what do you think? and there's this theory in existence about called this man the culture. we create this environment and upshot is this woman , young mother, young lady
10:13 am
woman, young mother, young lady has had to come public about a very private issue, now it's that's my sort of negative feeling, being sad for her. but on the other side, i see. well done. you you are the first family. and i don't think there is any family in united kingdom that hasn't been touched by cancer. that hasn't been touched by cancer . and what i saw then is cancer. and what i saw then is the power for quiet, gentle power in which she presented her case and said, now, please let me get on with this with my family. and i thought, yeah, okay, well done. you've turned what was quite a negative situation into something positive, and we can all now get on with our own families who've also got this issue that we're struggling with. yeah very, very classy. >> and that was the that's the thing i took from it. the facts that we see these people, the royals, not human, royals, as maybe not human, sometimes they're characters in
10:14 am
this, drama that plays this, you know, drama that plays out. and actually when this kind of happens, you of thing happens, it makes you realise you they're one of realise you know, they're one of us, the titles and us, regardless of the titles and the pomp and the ceremony, they go the same anxieties, go through the same anxieties, the challenges and the same the same challenges and the same hurdles. >> e one? one more >> can i say one? one more thing, because because you've brought important brought up a really important point to me when you say one of us, one of the things that i think is at the root of so many of society's ills is we have lost the understanding that us is all the same, and i think that when something happens, because it's like when princess diana died, you know, everybody gets together. we are all the same. and i think that the more that we get a handle on that is, the more we'll stop thinking this one's terrible because their family has too much money. this one doesn't deserve this because they're royal. we're all the same. we all are suffering from the same issues and we need
10:15 am
to be nicer to each other. >> well, let's hope she gets the privacy she deserves now. and of course, send, katherine and course, we send, katherine and her best wishes . her family the best wishes. should on to this, should we move on to this, rather grim terror attack in moscow yesterday? i think the death toll is 115 at the moment. there's been some pretty horrible video doing the rounds online. >> yeah , again, i just saw the >> yeah, again, i just saw the report there. it seems it's escalated . so when i came into escalated. so when i came into the studio, it was 40, had died, and 100 injured. i've been climbing all morning. climbing all morning? yeah i mean, again, i mean humanity. what what is it with us, apparently, that these terrorists were dressed in camouflage gear , which must have camouflage gear, which must have been a terrible optic in itself when you go into a party and you relax and you enjoy yourself, and you see these guys in, in, in camouflage gear straight away , professionals, military, and then all of a sudden they actually do start shooting. i mean, again, again, i can't imagine this is reminiscent of the bataclan in paris of our
10:16 am
own. ariana grande in manchester. what is wrong with us? what is going on with us? who is it? why are they ? why did who is it? why are they? why did they do that? i know that america's secret service seemed to have said to russia, be prepared. you know, there could be some sort of an attack, you know, and then and they're know, and then and then they're saying islamic state. is it, ukraine? ukraine, said it's ukraine? no, ukraine, said it's not us. it's just such a tragedy. yeah and again, i can't imagine i've got, well, young children, you're young of your 40. i've got two daughters, 41 is 36. i've got a young lad of 16. so he'd be going into this world. i can't imagine this young lad. well of course i love dearly. you've nurtured and you've grown and all of a sudden he goes to a party and some guy in a in a camouflage gets a professional weapon and starts to waste a lot of people. so it is the word tragedy is often used to often and too lightly. i think it's appropriate for in a case like this. it's a tragedy. >> jenny. one thing i will say i
10:17 am
don't want to downplay this tragedy because it's absolutely awful. i mean, you put it so eloquently, however, in light of obviously , the princess of wales obviously, the princess of wales situation as well, i think it's important at times like these, we really do need to emphasise important at times like these, we re isy do need to emphasise important at times like these, we re is soio need to emphasise important at times like these, we re is so muchd to emphasise important at times like these, we re is so much moremphasise important at times like these, we re is so much more goodsise important at times like these, we re is so much more good ine there is so much more good in there is so much more good in the than the bad going on, the world than the bad going on, and really take solace and we should really take solace in the fact that a of these in the fact that a lot of these good things, well, the, the place that i come from, from thatis place that i come from, from that is slightly similar in that i think that the world is more good than bad. >> but i also think that we need to learn from situations. so i was supposed to be at the bataclan really that night . bataclan really that night. >> really? yeah. yeah. wow. yeah. >> was getting dressed, going there. i was living in paris at there. i was living in paris at the time and the whole experience changed my life, and that's one of the things i think that's one of the things i think that we don't learn from things , that we don't learn from things, and you need to be looking around all day, every day, wherever things are going on and saying, is there something i can take from this to help make my
10:18 am
life better, my family's life better, my neighbours , my better, my neighbours, my friends, the people that i work with because there is good, but we need to find it. >> what did you take from that night? i know you avoided it, but the fact that you did miss it and you're still here today to listen to the little voices in little voices in your head. >> you have a little voice . >> you have a little voice. >> you have a little voice. >> we all have a little voice. >> we all have a little voice. >> but did you have one that night not to go? yeah. >> why? yeah. yeah. what? don't don't know. >> and. but what i've >> and. but what happened? i've actually written about actually written a story about it. but i then did after it. but what i then did after that was i went out like all day, every day for days. and i went to all the memorial services and, you know, had experiences of being because it's very difficult to explain those people who were there last night and those people who were in manchester. it is so difficult to explain what you feel like when you're there and you don't die giving me
10:19 am
goosebumps, you know, guilt , goosebumps, you know, guilt, guilt, guilt, guilt. and so you feel that the universe is giving you a chance and you better make the best of it. >> you know about the burnt toast theory? no do you know about that? essentially what you're saying now, it's small instances, such as your toast burning in the morning. so you have put on a a new slice have to put on a new a new slice so you miss the bus. you miss the train. it's like a sliding doors yeah. doors moment, yeah. >> protects you. yeah. >> it's what protects you. yeah. from awful happening from something awful happening to that's happened to you. and that's what happened that is that day. the universe is looking someone was. was. >> was. >> there will be people who >> so there will be people who were concert hall last were in that concert hall last night are going to need night who are going to need a lot of help. yes. so that they don't carry the guilt for the rest of their life. >> so. >> so. >> but i think he wasn't >> but what i think he wasn't saying, jenny, that you've saying, jenny, is that you've changed a result. changed your life as a result. because we change our life because if we change our life has of terrorist has a result of terrorist activity, the terrorists activity, then the terrorists win . clearly. win. quite clearly. >> depends on change >> now depends on how you change it. i'm not afraid. that's the thing, is that it actually made me much braver than i was before. >> make you more appreciative of life or have you always been
10:20 am
this way? >> i'm one of those people who, every night i have a little book and i write the three things that i'm grateful for that day. >> you know, all of that. so i'm i'm all about that. >> it's a good practice. >> it's a good practice. >> well, just to >> it really is. well, just to bnng >> it really is. well, just to bring up to date, the bring you up to date, the islamic state group claimed islamic state group have claimed responsibility attack in responsibility for the attack in moscow night. the us says moscow last night. the us says it's credible that the islamic state group could be behind the attack . russia so far has not attack. russia so far has not commented and i think that is going to be one of the most interesting questions, isn't it? is how is russia going to respond to this attack at least 115 people have been killed so far , after gunmen attacked in far, after gunmen attacked in that concert hall last night. we'll bring you more on the program throughout the morning. thank you so much, jenny. thank you, chris, and we'll catch up with in the show . with you later on in the show. >> don't go anywhere as we'll be meeting our greatest britain. i'm excited meet her and i'm so excited to meet her and introduce to well. introduce her to you as well. her story is amazing. and of course, more on princess catherine's diagnosis as course, more on princess cathe don't diagnosis as course, more on princess cathe don't forget diagnosis as course, more on princess cathe don't forget to agnosis as course, more on princess cathe don't forget to send;is as course, more on princess cathe don't forget to send in as well. don't forget to send in

10:25 am
something it was very simple as posting that story from the sun last week of catherine at the farm shop, and i said, isn't it great to see her out and about? and honestly, i'm not going to bother more time on bother wasting any more time on them. the i got bad. them. but the abuse i got bad. oh goodness me and the oh my goodness me and the conspiracy people saying oh my goodness me and the cowasn't y people saying oh my goodness me and the cowasn't her people saying oh my goodness me and the cowasn't her and people saying oh my goodness me and the cowasn't her and thingse saying oh my goodness me and the cowasn't her and things likeing it wasn't her and things like that. yeah, questioning that. yeah, like questioning my integrity just integrity for even i was just like, need go and like, you guys need to go and get a hobby or something. >> i think if anything it >> well, i think if anything it is sad that she felt is very, very sad that she felt forced to put out that video last and think it was last night. and i think it was very intentional that, you know, you the daffodils you can see the daffodils behind her. you could tell that it was spring, could that it spring, you could tell that it had filmed week. but had been filmed this week. but she do that in a way to she had to do that in a way to quieten all the conspiracy quieten down all the conspiracy theories that we've in theories that we've seen in the past weeks, actually sad past few weeks, and actually sad that what she's had to that that's what she's had to do. but it's worked. >> everything that's >> and everything that's happened over the previous months, with months, the mistake with the mother's day picture that she edhed mother's day picture that she edited you know, edited and people, you know, found makes sense found out everything makes sense now she's now because the pressure she's been online abuse, been under, the online abuse, the and of course the speculation and of course deaung dealing with her medical condition, why that condition, you can see why that kind mistake would happen. kind of mistake would happen. >> yeah. so you can ray says >> yeah. so you can and ray says
10:26 am
like most people in this land, i'm deeply saddened by this news. she has presented herself with great dignity and composure , and i hope that she makes a complete recovery. gb news has reported this comments reported this news and comments with compassion. and with great compassion. good. and thatis with great compassion. good. and that is what we are trying to do. we're not speculating on how long is going go on for long this is going to go on for orindeed long this is going to go on for or indeed what cancer has. or indeed what cancer she has. we her well and i'm we just wish her well and i'm sure as well. sure you do as well. >> i also we should be >> i also think we should be very here on very positive from here on because said she's going because she said she's going to because she said she's going to be fine, she's be okay, she's fine, she's strong. so, yeah, be strong. so, yeah, let's be buoyant. yeah. >> keep those views >> and do keep those views coming in. views gb coming in. gb views that gb news. com. of course this is news. com. now of course this is news royal news that shocked the royal family world. family and indeed the world. yeah >> the duke and duchess of sussex, harry and are sussex, harry and meghan are said only about said to have only heard about the diagnosis shortly the the diagnosis shortly before the news public, and in a news was made public, and in a brief statement last night, they said and said they wish health and heaung said they wish health and healing for catherine. >> they added hoped >> they added that they hoped that catherine family that catherine and the family could and in could heal privately and in peace. catherine's peace. so could catherine's diagnosis bring the family back together? >> joining us now to discuss this is royal reporter sarah—louise robertson. good
10:27 am
morning, sarah louise. >> good morning. >> good morning. >> what did you make of harry and meghan's statement last night? >> i thought it was interesting. the use of the word privacy when they have been anything but private. it comes to private. when it comes to talking about members of the royal particularly a lot royal family, particularly a lot of that trolling you were alluding to earlier has come from members of the sussex squad as , as they're known as their as, as they're known as their followers. but anyway, it's good that have reached out and, that they have reached out and, and said something and i think when a crisis like this happens , when a crisis like this happens, it can often bring families back together and the fact that prince harry has reached out to his brother, prince william, they've had personal contact for they've had personal contact for the first time. yes, yes. so harry made contact last night with william. i think there's been some text messages , some been some text messages, some exchanges and the fact that that has happened , it shows that they has happened, it shows that they could now be maybe a thawing and a bit of an olive branch between the two, the two families. and i think, wouldn't it be lovely if harry could just make that
10:28 am
apology? this is the time where you have to put all that bad blood behind you and just come together as a family. catherine's has just catherine's diagnosis has just it just puts everything into perspective. the silly things that they were feuding about seemed so futile. i mean, they were so petty anyway, but even more now. that shows that more now. that just shows that to be the case. and it's like time to get serious and be a family. so i think this would be really lovely if there could be a thawing between william and his let's just start his brother. let's just start with those two let the two with those two and let the two brothers and come brothers try and come back together. but would together. but it would require prince making full prince harry making a full apology and saying, look, i'm really sorry for everything that i've what william wants, isn't it? yeah. if he could do that, if he could be bigger man if he could be the bigger man here and maybe he has and says, look, i'm really sorry what here and maybe he has and says, look, idone.illy sorry what here and maybe he has and says, look, idone.il|regret( what here and maybe he has and says, look, idone.il|regret all what here and maybe he has and says, look, idone.il|regret all of hat here and maybe he has and says, look, idone.il|regret all of it. we've done. i regret all of it. we just want there now for we just want to be there now for catherine, for you and to help the family. that be the family. that would be incredible . well, that would incredible. well, that would be wonderful. catherine will be >> and perhaps catherine will be the here for these the ingredient here for these brothers, we that brothers, because we know that catherine harry such catherine and harry had such a close relationship, didn't they,
10:29 am
when single man? yeah when he was a single man? yeah the three them were always the three of them were always together, they? together, weren't they? so perhaps be harry to perhaps she will be harry to those two brothers coming back together. correct. elliott and >> that's correct. elliott and prince harry always said princess the big princess catherine was the big sister he had never had. he always wanted a sister. growing up , and she sort of came always wanted a sister. growing up, and she sort of came in and fulfilled that role. and they were such a tight unit. they really were. him and his really were. and him and his brother harry and william were such a tight unit, and they were the three, and always the three, and they always wanted meet somebody so wanted harry to meet somebody so they could be the fab four. and they could be the fab four. and they were so . and they were they were so. and they were welcoming of meghan. despite everything that and harry everything that meghan and harry have claimed otherwise, they were welcoming of harry finding a love and getting married and moving on with his life . and moving on with his life. and then obviously everything went wrong we've seen. but wrong as, as we've seen. but i think this could be now think this could be great now for just be able to come for them to just be able to come back together, or at least for harry and his brother to come back together, that that can happen. and harry will be happen. and i know harry will be so distressed that this has happened catherine. he will.
10:30 am
happened to catherine. he will. >> you know, sarah louise, what struck me yesterday that struck me yesterday was that obviously i felt for catherine and of children. and i thought of the children. those first people those were the first two people i and then i thought i thought of. and then i thought of prince william, because he must pressure now must feel so much pressure now with his king, obviously, in the cancer his and with his king, obviously, in the can*cancer his and with his king, obviously, in the can*cancer diagnosis, and with his king, obviously, in the can*cancer diagnosis, we and with his king, obviously, in the can*cancer diagnosis, we have her cancer diagnosis, we have this slimmed monarchy . this slimmed down monarchy. >> and know what as well, >> and do you know what as well, william harry, course, william and harry, of course, grew up their mother. grew up without their mother. they mother young. they lost their mother young. and thinking, is william they lost their mother young. and looking inking, is william they lost their mother young. and looking at;ing, is william they lost their mother young. and looking at his. is william they lost their mother young. and looking at his own iilliam they lost their mother young. and looking at his own kids,n now looking at his own kids, fearing own children fearing that his own children would potentially be growing, growing up without a mother as well? >> w- w they've always >> yeah. well, they've always that has always hung that that shadow has always hung over two lads lives. it over those two lads lives. it has. and they were has. and that's why they were always each other's rocks and each other's backbones. and then obviously the split came. but now, say, william is now, as you say, william is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. so he does need someone to be a rock in his corner because he's having to be a rock for everybody else. but who's prince william got this is this is what i was thinking last night. >> this is when you would lean on your brother. >> exactly. >> yeah, exactly. >> yeah, exactly. >> sad that he doesn't >> it's so sad that he doesn't exactly .
10:31 am
exactly. >> that's n exactly. >> that's i thought. >> and that's what i thought. this the time that this is the time now that he needs to. to come needs prince harry to. to come in just help and just in and just help and just shoulder that shoulder some of that responsibility, that responsibility, but also that emotional . so william's emotional burden. so william's got someone trusted that he can phone up and say, look, this is happening. really happening. i'm having a really bad know, and just have bad day, you know, and just have or go and have a orjust go to go and have a dnnk orjust go to go and have a drink with just that brotherly love. >> but harry did blow up >> but harry really did blow up that trust, didn't he? he did completely a challenge for completely such a challenge for william back in. william to let him back in. >> mean, i'm not saying there >> i mean, i'm not saying there could between could be any thawing between meghan yet. meghan and catherine yet. >> steps, as you >> i think small steps, as you said, small steps. said, very small steps. >> just with >> let's just start with the brothers. that's we brothers. yeah, that's what we need to start with, is just getting brothers back getting the brothers back together and take it from there. but this can be the but hopefully this can be the start of maybe a positive can come out of this horrible, horrible, terrible situation which has shocked, shocked all of us. it really has to the core. yeah. >> thank you so much sarah louise. thank you. this morning. thanks, go anywhere as we thanks, don't go anywhere as we are going to meet our greatest briton, very cute briton, who is very, very cute this week. you won't want to miss that. we're also to miss that. we're also going to be the bottom of

10:37 am
ultimate status symbol. >> well, here to unpack all of this with us is fashion guru and former head buyer at asos, mo oshodi. really good to see you this morning. hello. hi. so for people who aren't familiar, tell us about hermes because there is this fashion folklore about hermes and how you get birkin hermes and how you get a birkin bag and it's not easy, is it? >> it is not easy. i think if anybody joe public had enough money, had £8,000 spare that they'd like to spend on a birkin, you'd assume that you'd be able to walk into the store, ask the ceo birkin and walk out of the store. >> you would think, you would think, is that a birkin on the screen now? right. >> that is a birkin. >> that is a birkin. >> you won't unsee it. >> you won't unsee it. >> brand. oh, that a >> it's brand. oh, that is a cheapest, right? >> that's probably cheapest, right? >> 150. that's probably about 150. >> yeah. >> yeah. >> dokey. that's a black one. >> small fry. >> small fry. >> but the way that hermes works at the moment is that you have to have a purchase history with the right before you're the brand right before you're even a bag, before you even offered a bag, before you can at them. can even look at them. >> unofficially? yes. unofficially the unofficially this is what the lawsuit it's
10:38 am
lawsuit is about, about. it's been alleged that these customers in california were shopping in hermes, and they wanted to buy a birkin , but they wanted to buy a birkin, but they were advised that they would be required to buy additional products in order to even be shown a birkin, yet alone be able to buy it. is that legal? so it comes under something called tie in where you are not allowed as a retailer to force a customer or coerce a customer into buying additional products into buying additional products in order to secure the product that they want. so, so why are they doing it in layman's terms? >> are they just trying to protect the luxury status symbol of brand? is that of the brand? is that what they're doing? of the brand? is that what the so! doing? of the brand? is that what the so there's* of the brand? is that what the so there's control. >> so there's control. >> so there's control. >> how hermes have become successful is that there isn't much product. these bags are really scarce and there's a really scarce and there's a really big demand. so therefore the value of them and the price of them is crazy . like there's of them is crazy. like there's one that's sold for over £400,000 at auction. there's so much desire for them. you see
10:39 am
countless celebrities from people like victoria beckham, who apparently has a huge collection of them , to people collection of them, to people like kim kardashian carrying these bags . like kim kardashian carrying these bags. so there's a lot of desire for them. so if i can't walk into a store and just walk out with one, and if there's not that many, how does the brand determine who they're going to sell the brand? the bags to. >> and what do you think of this mo to , to run mo as a way to, to run a business as, as a fashion expert. because it is a status symbol. symbol the birkin. do you think it's okay to allow it to become so exclusive that only the very few people can actually own one? or do you think it's not actually a very good thing for a brand? >> it's a tricky point. i think most things which are exclusive become extremely desirable. there's something in that of having something that isn't mass market. hermes picture that these bags are craftsmanship, that they can take up to 18
10:40 am
hours of hand making by a very talented, skilled craftsman to create this bag. they're also an investment. people perceive it as a piece of art. investment. people perceive it as a piece of art . the moment as a piece of art. the moment you walk out of the store with a hermes , that product has already hermes, that product has already doubled in value. if it's a birkin bag , the resale value is birkin bag, the resale value is probably 2 to 3 times whatever you would pay for it in store. is it fair or is that just the world that we live in that some products are so expensive? they're not. >> everybody can have, you know, rolex do the same thing if you go into a rolex store now, you can't one off the shelf. can't buy one off the shelf. they . they say waiting they say. they say the waiting list or 4 years. and list is maybe 3 or 4 years. and what that bumps up what that does is that bumps up the in the second hand the price in the second hand market. they do it market. so and they do it intentionally. there's no way that just make that rolex couldn't just make more watches. >> scarcity . it's >> but about scarcity. it's about scarcity. scarcity maintains the brand zillur it. it makes it something super special that people will aspire to. it's a marketing strategy . to. it's a marketing strategy. >> so it is happening across the board and there will be people watching and listening who just
10:41 am
say, well, isn't that the brown's if that's brown's prerogative? if that's what if what they want to do? if you have that of and you have that type of money and you want then go after that want to then go after that brand, then fabulous. but brand, then that's fabulous. but if you can't. if you don't, well, you can't. >> true. there will be >> that's true. there will be some people that agree with some people that just agree with it that is the it and just say that is the nature of these designer products. there'll be other people. mentioned to my people. i mentioned this to my brother like, this is brother and he was like, this is ridiculous. if you don't want it, just go buy it from it, just go and buy it from somewhere else. >> i don't it. i support >> i don't mind it. i support them there's been so them because there's been so many brands that i've liked. there's that there's been so many brands that i've example, i told i've liked. for example, i told you on a very lower you off air on a very lower level, face, level, north face, the mountaineering they do mountaineering company, they do still stuff, but still make some great stuff, but it's popular it's sold it's become so popular it's sold in high street jd sports, in high street shops, jd sports, and i don't want to and really, i don't want to wear the anymore. balenciaga as the brand anymore. balenciaga as well. really mainstream. >> it's a real issue that a lot of designer and luxury houses are aware of. like do are fully aware of. like how do you enough money on your you make enough money on your product to be a really successful brand? but stop it being so everywhere and so mass market that it loses its appeal? because that is the nature of what happens if you see

something too often, often you do not want it anymore. >> yeah, yeah. >> yeah, yeah. >> really good to see you this morning, mo. thank you so much for i'm picking all of that for us. let us know what you us. you let us know what you make that story. views at make of that story. gb views at gb know have gb news. com. i know you're have an on one. have you an opinion on that one. have you got an hermes? >> how you pronounce it? >> is that how you pronounce it? >> is that how you pronounce it? >> oh, i wish i had an hermes. >> oh, i wish i had an hermes. >> hermes, m.s. sorry, have >> hermes, m.s. sorry, you have to say all these commoners. >> mark. >> mark. >> we couldn't say. what was it, asos? >> i said asos a few weeks ago, actually, saw mo actually, when we just saw mo coming second ago, i said, coming in a second ago, i said, oh, it's asos former buyer. yeah asos sold it. asos and you sold it. >> you calling hermes. >> what are you calling hermes. hermes? anyway, there >> yeah. anyway, we'll get there with >> yeah. anyway, we'll get there witi i'm of the >> yeah. anyway, we'll get there witii'm of the people. all >> i'm a man of the people. all right. thanks, mo. that's great. coming up, we're going to be meeting week's greatest meeting this week's greatest briton. true ray of briton. she's a true ray of sunshine. can't wait. this sunshine. i can't wait. this is saturday live gb saturday morning live on gb news, channel

11:08 am
by a member of the public outside windsor castle gates . outside windsor castle gates. the police have taken them inside the grounds. i can now tell you i understand the princess has been informed of those flowers being left for her this morning. of course . last this morning. of course. last night she thanked the public in that message for the kind messages of support over the last few months since her abdominal surgery. it's clearly abdominal surgery. it's clearly a lot for her to take in as well as her husband, prince william, who's whose wife has just who's not a whose wife has just been diagnosed with cancer or has been diagnosed with cancer , has been diagnosed with cancer, andindeed has been diagnosed with cancer, and indeed his father, the king. and will now to balance and he will now have to balance his time between looking after and wife and and supporting his wife and young , and his young children, and his constitutional role as heir apparent and future king, carrying on with those royal dufies. carrying on with those royal duties . but the priority for the duties. but the priority for the prince and princess of wales has always been their children, and they chose the right time. they wanted to choose the right time to tell them in their own way, about the princess's cancer diagnosis. and now that three the of them three children, are off school for the easter

holidays, that is why the princess decided last night was the time to tell the world the right time to tell the world and give an update on her health. we've messages of health. we've had messages of support the princess of support close to the princess of wales publicly so wales as well, publicly so charles spencer, the brother of the princess diana, he says the late princess diana, he says that the princess's message showed incredible strength and poise. the king's spokesperson also released a statement last night saying that his majesty is proud of his beloved daughter in law and for her courage. james middleton , princess catherine's middleton, princess catherine's brother as well, posted an instagram message where he said over the years we have climbed many mountains together as a family. we climb, we will climb this one with you too and it was accompanied by a picture of the two of them as children, the duke and duchess of sussex have also sent their messages of support. there has been huge interest in the princess of wales over the last few months. lots of unfounded, harsh conspiracy theories online. but what the princess wants now is, as she said in her message last night, is the time, space and
11:10 am
privacy to complete that preventative chemo therapy, that cancer treatment. she's 42 years old. she will be receiving the best possible care this country can offer . and i think what she can offer. and i think what she wants and what she asks is that she can be left alone to do so in peace with her family at this difficult time. >> cameron walker, thank you very much indeed . well, we're very much indeed. well, we're now joined by broadcaster and author jenni trent hughes, authorjenni trent hughes, olympian kriss akabusi and showbiz reporter stephanie takyi and stephanie, i wanted to start with you because i'm sure you were the same in that emotional video night from catherine. video last night from catherine. i was most struck by how she was going to tell her children, and that to be her that did seem to be her priority, didn't it? >> should be at >> and that should be at the forefront for catherine, for william, public, william, and for the public, because i think looking at that video, while it's nice that we all know now what's going on with catherine, the main thing is she is a mother of three and thatis is she is a mother of three and that is at the forefront of her mind . how to that is at the forefront of her mind. how to tell her that is at the forefront of her mind . how to tell her children mind. how to tell her children this, this news and also to make
11:11 am
them feel as she said that she is okay and she's going to be okay. and i think what's happened, there's been so much intrusion on worldwide from different the media, different sectors of the media, social media. and you can imagine for young kids, if they're going to get a whiff of it from school or where else, it's very heartbreaking thing. so i think this video, even though it's nice that she's put it out there and the whole of the nation behind her. let's the nation are behind her. let's think about these three children the nation are behind her. let's thinkbecause 1ese three children the nation are behind her. let's thinkbecause she three children the nation are behind her. let's thinkbecause she tha e children the nation are behind her. let's thinkbecause she tha motheren here because she is a mother more than anything else. >> i mean, question >> i mean, impossible question to ask to answer, i guess. but how do you even begin to tell your kids something like that? >> really wouldn't even as you >> i really wouldn't even as you said, it's impossible to answer. and think she's such and i just think she's such a great mother. and as she says, she has that support from william . so think a family william. so i think as a family now, can be away from the now, they can be away from the limelight and really limelight and they can really think what's ahead think about what's coming ahead over few weeks, months over the next few weeks, months or even maybe years. over the next few weeks, months or (let'snaybe years. over the next few weeks, months or (let's hope; years. over the next few weeks, months or (let's hope now rs. over the next few weeks, months or (let's hope now that people >> let's hope now that people give them the respect and the privacy so desperately privacy that they so desperately need. privacy that they so desperately need . and, look, let's a

need. and, look, let's take a look some other stories that look at some other stories that are in the news this morning, even though that is, of course, the dominating the the one that is dominating the papers is papers this morning. this is something different, something entirely different, but you'll have an but i think you'll have an opinion it. opinion on it. >> rates . now, this opinion on it. >> rates. now, this is >> divorce rates. now, this is actress emily ratajkowski . actress model emily ratajkowski. >> now she has shared images this week of her lounging on a bed with some fabulous. >> oh, i saw them on her years. >> oh, i saw them on her years. >> she's essentially taken her. is it her wedding ring? >> her wedding ring? >> her wedding ring? >> a wedding, redesigned them, redesigned wears redesigned it, and now wears them proudly as divorce rings? yeah. you think of it? yeah. what do you think of it? >> always trend for >> there's always a trend for everything. i'm here for the everything. and i'm here for the divorce really am, divorce rings. i really am, actually. it's quite actually. i think it's quite empowering, because empowering, actually, because even they are rocked. i love them bling bling all the way. but i think even if you get divorced from someone, i think they're still going a part they're still going to be a part of life. she has a son with of your life. she has a son with her, her ex husband, and i think you what? sometimes you you know what? sometimes you need to celebrate. actually, you know what? if it didn't i know what? if it didn't work, i still that step and made a still took that step and made a commitment someone. commitment to someone. so i think divorce are actually think divorce rings are actually quite cool. yeah, i think
11:13 am
there's wants give there's always he wants to give there's always he wants to give the back. the ring back. >> i'm in your >> i don't i'm in your character, but well, people do that. character, but well, people do that . well this is what that. well yeah. this is what chris chris. chris was saying chris. >> return their rings. >> well they return their rings. >> well they return their rings. >> yeah they do. return >> yeah they do. they return once marriage is over. some once the marriage is over. some people return the rings or if it's a broken down engagement, they ring, but wouldn't. >> yeah, i would, i, i think it's crass. >> oh i look each to their own. >> oh i look each to their own. >> he wouldn't float my boat. i am a divorcee. i still, i still like my wife, my ex—wife, i've got two lovely children with her, and what my wife did, is she, gave the rings to my second daughter who really cherished them. >> oh, sweet. yeah >> oh, sweet. yeah >> yeah, that's. and then she's repurposed them for her fashion . repurposed them for her fashion. so they're still in the family, you know, i was a poor, poor kid when i met my ex—wife. we made that commitment to each other.
11:14 am
got two lovely children out of our relationship, and, you know, i've known my ex—wife for, 48 years, married for 20, married for 22 years. i think it's i think that sort of example there. oh, yeah. i've found myself and i empower myself . and myself and i empower myself. and i think it does a dishonour to the commitment and the relationship that you had with that significant person who, if you have children , will be in you have children, will be in your life for the rest of your life. so what you do with that one time gift that he or she gave to you to say how sacrosanct this relationship is, is actually important and not just about you. >> but jenny, don't people evolve? people? as we were talking about earlier, you learn lessons from things. your experiences you. it experiences shape you. isn't it nice to , you know, mark, even nice to, you know, mark, even a failed marriage, it doesn't have to be failed. it's just you're moving on. no. >> well , i'm
11:15 am
moving on. no. >> well, i'm optimistic, because when i was young , somebody gave when i was young, somebody gave me a an engagement ring that was worth a lot of money. >> and , and i broke off the >> and, and i broke off the engagement. i gave the ring back, and he said, no, no, no, you keep it. and there was like this back and forth, and then he put it back in the box. he says, please, someday say you'll need it, so then did it, you know. and so then i did make another out of it. and make another ring out of it. and then i fell on hard times , then when i fell on hard times, i sold it and lived on the money from year. however in a from for a year. however in a divorce ring, i think is a completely different thing. and when get divorced, i went when i did get divorced, i went to and i went the to paris and i went to the pompidou centre and stood in front of niki sanfilippo front of the niki sanfilippo fountain and said a prayer to my marriage, said a prayer about my son, and threw it over my shoulder . shoulder. >> how much was it worth? >> how much was it worth? >> it was a tiffany ring. >> it was a tiffany ring. >> oh. ooh. >> oh. ooh. >> you could you could at least use my. baby ibrahima konate.
11:16 am
>> last year i was actually down there, like, poking around. >> i wonder if miraculously, somehow it's still there . somehow it's still there. >> oh, wow. >> oh, wow. >> so you're full of amazing hannah gaffey . hannah gaffey. >> i'm a laugh a minute , a breakdown? >> no, i really did . stephanie >> no, i really did. stephanie would have been there with a message. >> i mean, i came back after it. >> i mean, i came back after it. >> metal detector. i need it now. >> maybe it's still there. how long ago was that? >> and 14 years ago. >> and 14 years ago. >> okay, if you're short of a few bob, you could pop down there and see take out. should we move on to this england football shirt ? rao, chris, football shirt? rao, chris, you're a sportsman, what do you make of it? is it doing a disservice to the nation, or are people overreacting ? people overreacting? >> yeah. >> yeah. >> so again, there's anything sacred anymore? >> so again, there's anything sacrecthere1ore? >> so again, there's anything sacrecthere anything that the we >> is there anything that the we can serve that means can serve that really means anything that's part of our dna. >> the flag of saint george is a very important sign of who we are. as as a nation. now, i did hear gareth southgate say the most important emblem is the

three lions. i agree with him of that because i remember when i got the message from hrh the duke of edinburgh saying that i'd been selected to represent england at an event and how important that was to me. so the three lions are very important, but that flag or that emblem that they've now got on there is not saint george. i don't know what it is, but it's not the flag of saint george. the flag is quite iconic. you recognise it? you know what it is. it's pristine , it's clear and it's pristine, it's clear and it's got heritage. whatever they've done , these guys have got some done, these guys have got some sort of. >> the argument is that nike haven't done this to any other country. >> yeah, i don't from my i'm always from that theory. if it's not broke you don't need to fix it kind of thing. and i was speaking to dame kelly holmes yesterday, but she did make an interesting because interesting point to me because she saying if you look she was saying that if you look through different sports teams, there's flags that there's all different flags that represent so there is represent the uk. so there is not one cohesive message here. but with nike troubling this, it hasn't actually made any sense
11:18 am
to me personally, and i think the footballers seemed to endorse it . so they're the ones endorse it. so they're the ones who are going to be wearing it. so if there is a problem , it so if there is a problem, it should be coming from them. >> haven't got choice. >> i haven't got a choice. i mean, you're at height mean, when you're at the height of doing mean, when you're at the height of gig, doing mean, when you're at the height of gig, you're doing mean, when you're at the height of gig, you're just doing mean, when you're at the height of gig, you're just (your your gig, you're just doing your gig- your gig, you're just doing your gig. if federation go gig. and if your federation go put on, son. you put that put that on, son. you put that on. on. >> on. >> yeah. don't think they're >> yeah. i don't think they're going off according. going to kick off according. >> according to the, >> but according to the, according to fa, the according to the fa, the reworking of it is a tribute to the 1960 whatever. yeah. team >> that's what they said. >> that's what they said. >> but then loads of pictures were doing the rounds yesterday of the 1966 training i mean of the 1966 training kit. i mean even it's quite an even that is it's quite an obscure nod to something. it's like the 1966 training kit, but the pictures were doing the rounds and there was no relevance it at all. so i relevance to it at all. so i don't know what they were thinking, but more upset thinking, but i'm more upset about of the kit. about the cost of the kit. >> oh my gosh, £125. >> oh my gosh, £125. >> and you where nike >> and do you know where nike make those kits for the last world cup in qatar? anyway, they made them thailand where made them in thailand where workers paid £1 an workers were getting paid £1 an hour that, and nike and the hour for that, and nike and the

gb news. >> welcome back. it's 1123. you're with ben and ali on saturday morning live on gb news. now at least 143 people are believed to have been killed. and a further 140 wounded. following that devastating gun attack at a concert hall in moscow yesterday. >> yes, an affiliate of the islamic state group has claimed responsibility for the attack, a claim that the united states so far says is credible. >> however, the deputy head of
11:24 am
russia's national security council has suggested that ukraine was in fact responsible and has vowed vengeance. >> well, it is certainly very complicated and this death toll is rising all the time. well to discuss this further, we are joined in the studio by defence editor at the evening standard, robert fox. very good morning to you, robert. and it is a very complicated picture this morning , isn't it? we're not even sure who to blame for this attack who is to blame for this attack at moment. at the moment. >> lots of strands. the americans certainly got some kind of tip off how specific it was is far from clear. certainly the russians were worn , and the russians were worn, and certainly in the intro, the bit thatis certainly in the intro, the bit that is right on. whatever happens, whoever this was, they are desperate for the public narrative. that's what's going to go wall to wall on state tv and state controlled social media that it's ukraine to blame already there's been a rather a timid, timid statement from the assad fsb, the security service, the massive security service . the massive security service. oh, the fugitives that they have
11:25 am
arrested were heading towards ukraine because in quotes they had contacts there or they were believed to have had contacts there . it is so believed to have had contacts there. it is so thin to believed to have had contacts there . it is so thin to the there. it is so thin to the outside world, but there's something rather extraordinary about this, because it looks as if russia was unaware, unprepared for this , and it's unprepared for this, and it's symptomatic of something going on way down south on the borders there that russia appears to be losing control of a very fragmented picture in the caucasus. and it's dangerous because russia is losing there and its big ally, iran , is and its big ally, iran, is losing there. >> robert, i remember the stories from a few weeks ago saying that us intelligence had warned russia that an attack was imminent. why didn't they take heed of that? >> well , they tried to turn that >> well, they tried to turn that to an immediate information war advantage . oh, the americans advantage. oh, the americans would say this. this was the line that came from moscow. they're trying to destabilise ,
11:26 am
they're trying to destabilise, destabilise us. but there is something , it's probably not something, it's probably not quite the time in the place to go into it in great detail, but there's something rather crazy and uncontrolled about russia as immediate foreign policy, which i isil is jumping in on. i think isil is jumping in on. they're trying to mess around in syria again, they're expanding in the east mediterranean . in the east mediterranean. they're trying to take over with their beefed up the old wagner company again. it's now called the expeditionary corps. and i think that the islamist really object to this, particularly with the very peculiar stance they're taking with the houthis and the red sea at the moment that they there is the houthis have said, well, really, china and russia are going to back us because have agreed not to because we have agreed not to attack russian and chinese ships. it is very complicated . ships. it is very complicated. but into this, a highly focused group like like isil or isis can pushin group like like isil or isis can push in and it can have devastating effect. and boy , devastating effect. and boy, they know better than anybody
11:27 am
how to exploit the publicity space. >> excuse my ignorance, i thought isis had been wiped out in syria. >> never say never with an idea like that. and i'm afraid to say it's absolutely the same predicament we're face predicament we're going to face with yeah you can kill a with hamas. yeah you can kill a whole bunch of fighters. they killed a lot, as you rightly say, in but you and in say, in mosul. but you and in raqqa, remember, because russia, it was russia that when they got involved, they were well, mainly to. >> yeah, but and it was huge and it was bloody, but the trouble is that russia is finding that particularly in places like the south caucasus, as i was saying on their own border, and they've got a large muslim population in inside their own border, they have to go at it again and again and again. >> and they've got three things on at the moment. they've got ukraine, they've got that and they've they're getting more they've got they're getting more and more involved. as i said, with syria, iraq and africa. and for all the way that the russian economy now, it's a defence economy, it's a military economy
11:28 am
seems to be booming with the high price of oil and so on. they're pretty stretched. >> so isis growing and back on the map, what does this mean for the map, what does this mean for the uk if anything? well, we've got to take this seriously because isis is back and it's going offensive and it's going on the offensive and it's going on the offensive and it's going on the offensive and it's going on the offensive out of afghanistan , and which it afghanistan, and which means it will go in several will go and could go in several directions . directions. >> and you cannot rule out a spectacular in europe. >> to ask robert, is >> i have to ask you, robert, is isis resurgence afghanistan isis resurgence in afghanistan anything to do with joe biden's botched evacuation? there and was it 2021? >> joe biden's botched? but i think the whole policy was a mess for the past ten years. and you could you could feel it physically when you were there and it was not only the us but its principal titleholder who was the uk. our view as to what could be done and should be done about afghanistan and at the particularly at this level on counter—terror counter, global terror was unfocused. >> is it fair to say that , >> is it fair to say that, sorry, ali, is it fair to say that our time and our troops
11:29 am
lives all the men and women who bravely fought in afghanistan, has all that gone to waste? not necessarily, but in it's necessarily, but in fact, it's what soldiers have to do. >> they have to fight wars that are wars of choice and that do go wrong. that's part of the business of fighting. but that is very difficult in today's , is very difficult in today's, climate to sell. as you probably know, young people are not joining the armed forces or if they're joining or getting halfway there, they're leaving because it's part of the risk and we are committed. the trouble is that ever since 1989, i think we've sold and it's come from people at the top of the civil service that defence is a needless expense. defence in its widest thing. and it isn't just soldiers in uniforms and glorious uniforms and glorious parades. it is going to be more and more important. anything through from food, energy , you through from food, energy, you name it, and terror has come back on the agenda. and that's what we should pick up from the

journalist ellie phillips. very good morning to you ellie and ellie sandwich. >> love it . yeah, really lucky >> love it. yeah, really lucky me. really good to see you this morning, ellie. >> so let's talk first about the celebrity big brother final , celebrity big brother final, which was last night. >> yeah, it was last night on itv , there were five finalists itv, there were five finalists in it. money of bets at in it. money kind of bets at odds on were on for louis walsh to win, even though he's kind of gone down, a bit controversially this series because basically he's been , saying things this series because basically he's his3een , saying things this series because basically he's his celebrity'ing things this series because basically he's his celebrity friends,gs about his celebrity friends, let's that way. but let's put it, that way. but people loved that. and they're like, you know what? we're glad he's because he's he's in there because he's brought the he's brought brought the drama, he's brought the actually it the gossip. but actually it ended won. ended up that david potts won. he's least known of he's probably the least known of all the celebrities that went in there. he was on a programme called ibiza weekender, and when he into the house, he actually went into the house, this, this series, he went in these tiny short shorts and kind of shamed a little bit of got, shamed for a little bit by like, sharon osbourne and then when he left, he had a short shorts again. i short shorts on again. and i think goes to show that, you think he goes to show that, you know, don't book by its know, don't judge a book by its
11:40 am
coven know, don't judge a book by its cover. larger than cover. he was this larger than life lovely cover. he was this larger than life very, lovely cover. he was this larger than life very, know, lovely guy, very, you know, heartwarming person. so yeah. deserved winner can deserved winner there. you can see screen now with see him on screen now with nikita kuzmin from strictly come dancing. nikita second dancing. and nikita came second last actually came last night. louis actually came fourth, firm. yeah. firm britain came fifth. and then a guy called colson smith came third. if you watch corrie, he plays craig tinker in coronation street. so it was a, you know, unexpected winner last night but actually overall really good. especially because when he did first go he was putting the first go in he was putting the firing by sharon osborne, firing line by sharon osborne, potentially one potentially to be the first one to be evicted. and actually made it all the way through won it all the way through and won the thing. the whole thing. >> i i love david >> so i love i love david potts for b weekend. he's such for my b for weekend. he's such a isn't he? and it a vibe, isn't he? and it actually you speak much actually you speak so much truth. yourself and you truth. just be yourself and you know, let your light shine through. >> absolutely . and he definitely >> absolutely. and he definitely did that when he came out afterwards. they were like, you know, what do you know, you know, what do you think? do you feel? he think? how do you feel? and he was just slay, slay. and was like, just slay, slay. and like was just totally like he was just totally himself. think himself. and i think overwhelming first. mean, overwhelming at first. i mean, when in, people when he first went in, people were wow, you know, were like, wow, you know, he
11:41 am
wants attention. wants the attention. but actually got know actually once you got to know them there's been three them, there's only been three weeks. think that gave weeks. but i think that gave people to kind people enough time to kind of really get to know the characters in the house. >> we about ellie, >> should we talk about ellie, channel 4. they've made an apology a serious apology for missing a serious complaint, complaints rather, about russell brand in 2009. >> yeah. so, chief executive alex mahon, she has revealed that a former employee made a serious , concerning allegation serious, concerning allegation against russell brand. this was back in 2009. and basically she said that it wasn't escalated, to senior management. it wasn't investigated as it should have been, and that she's apologised on behalf of the organisation to the individual, the ex—employee in person and said that, you know, she's a she's sorry for the breakdown, the distress it's caused. and actually interestingly , she says in her interestingly, she says in her statement about this that it's a matter of regret for the industry, that repugnant behaviours and behaviours are tolerated and indeed on air. and indeed appeared on air. and i think that's important as well, because a lot of people think, oh, a lot of this happened
11:42 am
behind the scenes. but, you know, we can look back at recordings things that recordings and things that actually and actually happened on air. and we're to happen air we're seeing to happen on air that watch now and we're so that we watch now and we're so uncomfortable so uncomfortable watching. so i think it's really important that she pulled upon that and said, you actually, you know what? actually, i'm glad all of glad we're highlighting all of this it's not what this now. and it's not just what goes behind scenes. it's goes on behind the scenes. it's on and it can often be on air. and it can often be reflective i think reflective of both. so i think that really key part of that was a really key part of her message. that was a really key part of her no. ssage. >> no. >> no. >> absolutely was. and let's talk beetlejuice two, talk about beetlejuice two, shall because this teaser shall we? because this teaser has been revealed and it is star studded, isn't it? >> ellie? >> ellie? >> it's so good. okay, so this is beetlejuice two called beetlejuice. beetlejuice, the first trailer of this has been released, and it's the sequel to tim burton's 1988 released, and it's the sequel to tim burton's1988 original film, which then starred michael keaton. he returns as beetlejuice into this what's good about the trailer is it doesn't tell you too much. you see the characters in there, you've got winona ryder back as lydia, you've got catherine o'hara as lydia's mum, o'hara back as lydia's mum, and then newbie on the cast who then the newbie on the cast who wasn't in the original is a brilliant casting. it's jenna ortega, if anyone seen wednesday
11:43 am
, she plays the lead in that, and she's come back as lydia's daughter , astrid. so it kind of daughter, astrid. so it kind of goes into the next generation. it's set in modern day. it's set now. and well as that, you now. and as well as that, you don't them in trailer, don't see them in the trailer, but it's also justin but it's also got justin theroux, dafoe and theroux, william dafoe and monica bellucci. so it's got a really cast , and monica bellucci. so it's got a really cast, and i'm really really good cast, and i'm really excited for it because i absolutely love beetlejuice. growing up, it was just weird growing up, it was just so weird and wonderful crazy and and wonderful and crazy and bizarre apparently tim bizarre and apparently tim burton's already said that michael when he stepped michael keaton, when he stepped back into the role, it was like nothing has changed. he just completely that completely absorbed that character and it character straight away. and it was magical day. so was just, like, magical day. so that's me super excited that's got me super excited about is it released ? >> when is it released? >> when is it released? >> ellie, do you know we don't know the date release yet? know the date for release yet? they do a trailer like they usually do a trailer like get excited. then they'll get people excited. then they'll say then say like the month and then eventually date, say like the month and then ev> that's what you call a tease? >> yeah, exactly. >> yeah, exactly. >> well, it looks great. absolutely studded. thank absolutely star studded. thank you ellie. really good absolutely star studded. thank yo see ellie. really good absolutely star studded. thank yo see you ellie. really good absolutely star studded. thank yo see you thisllie. really good absolutely star studded. thank yo see you this morning.y good absolutely star studded. thank yo see you this morning. you od to see you this morning. you guys. to see you this morning. you guys . now do to see you this morning. you guys. now do you to see you this morning. you guys . now do you stay with us. guys. now do you stay with us. we're going joined in the
