the release of hostages held by hamas. >> israel now says tomorrow is the earliest any of them will go free. and until then, the assaults on gaza will continue. >> also this morning, israel claims to have more evidence of hamas working out of a hospital in gaza. abc's liz landers is now in washington. liz, good morning. big developments here. >> good morning, derek. a senior israeli official tells abc news the deal is not in danger of falling apart right now as families grow desperate to see their loved ones after initial hope for families, a delay in the release of hostages being held by hamas in gaza. israeli officials now say it will happen friday when both sides must sign a ratified document. prime minister netanyahu assured lawmakers and israelis that all hostages will be brought home in stages. an initial 50 hostages will be released in the current deal, including a americans for gaza. he also vowed to prepare

for war during the ceasefire and said it will carry on until hamas is destroyed. here in the us, president biden spoke by phone with prime minister netanyahu, who president al-sisi of egypt and the qatari emir as the us stays in close contact on the hostage release deal. the israeli ministry of health is preparing for special care of the hostages once released. meanwhile al-shifa hospital has been heavily affected by the conflict 16 premature babies were recently transferred out of gaza into egypt. a supervising doctor at the al-arish hospital in egypt is overseeing those tiny patients. >> when the babies arrive to our hospital, you know they are facing a lot of bad conditions during transfer, taking their medical history, no accompanying families for them. so we are dealing with a very critical conditions for them. meanwhile

in the red sea, the us shot down more attack drones. >> the defense department says they came from houthi controlled areas in yemen. there were no crew or ship injuries. secretary of state antony blinken held a phone call with his saudi counterpart heart, yesterday. they spoke about this hostage deal, but also a durable peace agreement in yemen. rhiannon >> all right, liz, thank you. >> a state of emergency is in effect across a remote part of eastern kentucky after a train derailed about 16 cars went off the tracks. two of them were carrying molten sulfur that caught fire, possibly releasing toxic fumes. all 200 residents of the entire town of livingston have been urged to evacuate over concerns about air quality. now to the fiery crash along the canadian border, triggering a massive response. >> a car went airborne, flew over a fence and then crashed into a security station in. abc's andrea fujii has this dramatic video. >> this morning, new information

about the vehicle that crashed and exploded on the rainbow bridge at a us canada. checkpoint, killing the two people inside. >> i've never seen anything like this. the car just exploded. >> authorities say the driver, a man from western new york, had just left the area of a nearby casino. authorities say he and the passenger, his wife, both died. >> i seen something airborne. i first thought it was an airplane. it looked like slow motion and i said, my god, it's a car. >> security video shows what is reportedly a $300,000 bentley driving up to 100 miles an hour. it goes airborne and out of frame. officials say it crashed at a secondary us checkpoint point bursting into flames. >> extraordinarily high rate of speed that led to the crash into the median that sent the vehicle airborne. and when you see this video, your jaw will drop in disbelief at how this went so high over an eight foot high fence. it's rather

extraordinary. the incident that happened just before noon yesterday prompted terrorism concerns and closed all four international border crossings between western new york and canada. >> the buffalo airport also closed to international flights, all on one of the busiest travel days of the year before thanksgiving. hours later, new york governor kathy hochul reassured the public there were no signs of a terror attack. >> i want to be very, very clear to americans and new yorkers at this time. there is no indication of a terrorist attack. >> the fbi says they've now finished their investigation and found no explosive materials and no terrorism nexus. all us canada, bridges except the rainbow bridge have since reopened. and international flights to buffalo airport have resumed. what's not clear is whether the driver, whose identity has not been released into ended to crash or if this was an accident. but there was a border patrol officer working in the booth at the time of the

crash who suffered minor injuries. the niagara falls police department is still investigating. rhiannon derick andrea, thanks. >> search efforts resume in the morning in southeast alaska as crews hunt for three people missing since a landslide. images released yesterday show emergency workers in wrangell a landslide during heavy rains on monday killed three people and destroyed three homes. the missing include two children in a disaster declaration for wrangell issued by alaska governor mike dunleavy remains in effect now to the arrest of a former obama official accused of making hateful remarks towards a food cart vendor. >> investigators say the confronté was fueled by the israel-hamas war. >> mr. sheldon is everything to say this morning. >> a former obama administration adviser was taken into custody. 64 year old stuart sadowitz faces hate crime charges after multiple confrontations with workers at a halal cart in new york city. some of the

confrontations caught on camera. the former diplomat is accused of harassing the vendors spewing xenophobic and anti-muslim remarks. at one point, a nearby construction worker steps in to try to defuze the situation. you had a lot of hatred, he was saying a lot of mean things. >> and i said, listen, this is not a place or time for this. you probably need to walk away from this gentleman and let him walk. >> sadowitz claims the vendor expressed support for hamas, triggering an argument. but across three separate videos there is no evidence in the worker who asked not to be named, fearing for his safety, denies speaking about hamas at all. why should i go? why should i go? >> tell me why i should go. i'm standing here. i'm an american. an i have it's a free country. >> in a phone interview with abc news, sadowitz admitted he overreacted and regrets what he said. but he says there were no threats or intimidation since the videos went viral, sadowitz has been fired from a lobby firm. it comes during an

increase in islamophobic incidents in the us. according to the council on american-islamic relations. but overnight, on the eve of thanksgiving, irving neighbors setting up a plastic table and sharing a meal. in honor of that worker who came out to support him and to support the man who was harassed it. >> and we deserve to be treated as human beings. >> sadowitz faces one count of aggravated harassment of religion or race, and four counts of stalking as a hate crime. >> all of the charges are misdemeanors. >> new york city is stepping up security around today's macy's thanksgiving day parade. the move was prompted both by the violence in the middle east and the explosion at the us canadian border. in addition to a larger police presence on the ground, they will be additional surveillance on river crossings from the air. in los angeles, traffic bumper to bumper on the 405 freeway on thanksgiving eve. those drivers were among the more than 55 million americans. triple a expects to be on the

janeiro, brazil. police there are investigating the company that organized the shows, which took place during a heat wave. one concertgoer died at last friday's show where the heat index was 138 degrees. fans complained about limited access to water. the police say they will look into whether the company endangered the life and health of fans and actor jamie foxx is being accused of sexual assault. an unnamed woman claims the oscar winner took her to a secluded area of a rooftop bar in new york and groped her against her will. the suit also claims a security guard at the bar witnessed the alleged 2015 incident, but did not intervene. jamie fox has not commented the case was filed ahead of friday's expiration of the new york survivors act, which gives adult sexual assault survivors one year to sue regardless of when the statute of limitations expired. >> now to the legal drama surrounding the iconic band hall and oates. hall has filed a restraining order against oates, but some details of the lawsuit remain a mystery. yeah, i. i
