this weekend. good morning to you. it is friday, november 24th. i'm gloria rodriguez. i'm jobina fortson. >> okay, that thanksgiving feast has settled by now right? so it is time for black friday shopping this morning. holiday shoppers are expected to set records this year. yeah >> so let's get right to abc7 news reporter ryan curry live for us this morning outside of the bass pro shops in san jose. how's it looking out there this morning? ryan yeah. >> gloria jobina. good morning and yeah, welcome to the bass pro shops here in san jose. we're only an hour into the shopping so far and they've had about 250 customers come through here so far in just really just a few moments. this is the current scene. they're pretty much scattered all throughout the store, i guess. not really necessarily the shopping frenzy you would have seen in years past, but still crowded nonetheless. it's going to be an interesting year when it comes to black friday. the national retail federation says there won't be that many more people shopping today, though there will be a slight increase. it's still a pretty big day. millions of shoppers was spending money

on deals. some are projected to break some shopping records. but they say the current economic outlook has people rethinking their holiday shopping plans. they're only predicting about a 3 to 4% increase in shopping on black friday compared to last year. it's the cost of goods and services they're still high in. many across the country. are focused on that compared to spending a lot of money today. and this weekend. many retailers , including here, are offering strong discounts to try to entice shoppers to spend their money. but even with that, some of the people we spoke with in the hours leading up to black friday, it doesn't seem like many are rushing to spend the money like they once did today. >> will you be getting up early at all tomorrow? >> yeah, i'm gonna try to. >> is it like 5 a.m. early? 7 a.m. early 10 a.m. early, maybe. >> like seven in the morning. early. maybe yeah. >> yes, maybe. that's kind of the vibe we're getting so far. but in this morning, we're seeing a good amount of shoppers who are are up bright and early before the sun rises, trying to

get the most of this. what they can get out of when it comes to black friday deals. the national retail federation says many retailers began offering deals online. that's obviously a huge thing. as early as mid-october of this year, the under standing behind that is that they're going to give shoppers who are trying to budget with all the things they're dealing with right now is much flexibility as possible that way. they know when they have the opportunities that they can go and shop right now. so it's not so much centered around one day like we're seeing today. but still, there are a lot of people here bright and early this morning. we're live in san jose, ryan curry, abc seven news. thank you, ryan. >> good morning, everybody. we are starting with a live look from live doppler seven and checking out our temperatures right now. we're pretty much in the 40s and 50s across the bay area. so a little cooler, but definitely more moderate as you head out the door this morning if you're even getting up. i know a lot of people are letting that turkey settle our highs for today are stretching from the low to high 60s, except all the way up north in lakeport,
