you have good fashion, not everyone has good fashion. >> reporter: and the hit cw show "the game," showing all the drama, jealousy, and fighting people think comes with dataing an athlete. >> you look me in the face right now and tell me you didn't sleep with her! >> what do you think of the term w.a.g.s? >> i think of the show. i think it's so funny. again, i really don't think that it's a real portrayal of most nfl couples. so that's not my truth. but super entertaining. >> has there been any drama with you and any other wives or girlfriends of players? >> okay, so i literally hear about drama all the time. but there's no drama on this team. it's very strange. thank goodness. >> reporter: kansas city seems to be drama-free, too, with taylor becoming fast friends with britney mahomes, wife of chiefs quarterback patrick mahomes. the two appear to have a secret handshake, captured during one of the chiefs games. taylor even invited britney to

join her celebrity girl gang for a night on the town and reportedly hosted a chiefs watch party at her nyc apartment. >> it was so cute. i'm going to new york next week and i'm like, gosh, i am going to go all the places they went. >> reporter: shannon was a college athlete, too, a gymnast with olympic dreams. now she has two other jobs. her day job as a content creator and her newer job, mom to 4-month-old jadour. what are some of the stereotypes that aren't true? >> theme people think i'm a gold digger. people think we are just on social media and it's fake and we don't like each other. >> we've got to talk about travis and taylor. have you been keeping up with all that? >> of course i have. >> a lot of people still think that it's a pr thing -- >> see, that's what i'm saying. everyone always has -- come on, i totally don't think it's fake. it's real, are you kidding? he wouldn't go to argentina. i mean, maybe, but -- i wouldn't

emergen-c crystals. ♪ welcome back. jonathan majors' career has been gaining momentum. the yale-educated actor played one of marvel's latest characters, kang the conqueror. >> i'm the man who can give you the one thing you want. >> phil: was set to star in his own franchise, now on hold as major faces assault charges by former girlfriend, grace givari. prosecutors say majors twisted her arm behind her back, struck her in the head, pushed her into a vehicle. majors denies these allegations. jury selection was held today in manhattan, and six jurors are impaneled. we were joined earlier by legal analyst and former manhattan

prosecutor beth karras. first, lay out what majors is facing here. >> he's facing seven different "after the" misdemeanor charges, all assault or aggravated harassment. stemming from one incident. what you have to do in new york is break down, by count, all the allegations outside of injury. there's three different acts that allegedly caused injury. grabbed heir hand and caused injury, grabbed her neck, slapped her in the face, caught her behind the ear. three different acts this one day in march 2023. so those are the intentional assaults he's charged with. also charged with reckless assault. same conduct, engaging in conduct that would cause injury, but didn't intend it. and he's also charged with aggravated harassment. he's charged with attempted assault. i mean, the d.a. has covered all her bases so that almost any scenario the jury could come up with, it doesn't look good for

him. >> phil: depending what they decide to go with and the jury convicts what could he face, what kind of time? >> he faces up to a year in jail. that would be rikers island in new york. that's for the "a" misdemeanor. if it's a lesser, "b" misdemeanor, that's up to 90 days. he could also get a probationary sentence and fine. it's not mandatory jail time. it's not prison. state prison is felony, this would be jail. but rikers island is no cakewalk. >> phil: opening statements expected monday. we've gotten a bit of a glimpse into what majors is saying happened the night in question. a complaint he filed against javari. tell us about that. >> he files a complaint, but he waited months and the d.a. decided not to go forward with it, saying there is no merit to it. >> phil: what did he allege? >> it's a cross life complaint. he says, basically, she's responsible for whatever happened. but we don't know details of it. the prosecutor said, there is just no merit to it. we do know through jury selection that a couple of people did not make it on to the

jury because they have in their heads that video of her dancing two hours after she's assaulted by him. so there's evidence that helped both sides in this case. and jurors -- these are messy. cross-complaints, domestic situations can be very messy and hard for jurors to try to figure out, who's really at fault here? >> phil: no one can think about this trial and not think about amber heard and johnny depp. i'm wondering, do you think the prosecution learned anything from that case in terms of the charges they're laying out here? >> you know, the accuser has to be likeable by this jury. if jurors are looking for a reason to let majors go, they're going to blame -- they're going to be hard on her, right? so they've got to make sure she comes through as straightforward, unemotional, say it like it is, she reported it meet. but there's some evidence, apparently, that she was texting not long after saying, i know it was my fault. we novick tips will do this.

i know it was my fault, i provoked this, that she maybe didn't want this to happen to him. but once you start the wheels of justice in motion, which happened that night, she doesn't call the shots anymore. >> phil: do you think there's any chance of a plea or this goes to the jury? >> i don't think so, not at this late date. i'm sure the d.a.'s office isn't going to give anything less than an "a" misdemeanor and that would have a detrimental effect on his career. there's a chance six jurors could come up with a compromise, lesser charge, even a violation which is under crime. harassment, which is not a crime. or that they'll let him go altogether and say, you know what, they both did something wrong. >> phil: beth, thanks so much. you'll be following it. marvel, like abc, is owned by our parent company, disney. when we come back, a photographer helping good dogs find their forever homes. when it comes to your hair, ingredients matter.
