30s in the north bay. so it certainly has that chill in the atmosphere. 40s and 50s right now around the bay shoreline. what we're watching, though, here comes another cold front. yesterday, one kicked up our winds. another one today will keep us breezy. the front is right here and it's going to try and spark an isolated shower. once again, we're not attaching a number on the storm impact scale today, but future weather showing you sunshine gives way to some cloud cover later on this afternoon. and there you can see on future weather, it's just a real isolated chance. and the best chance is probably in the north bay highs today. we're going into the upper 50s and lower 60s. so certainly below average for this time of the year. closer look at the weekend forecast. gloria coming up in about eight minutes. >> all right, drew, thank you so much. new developments, the cease fire between israel and hamas is now over. israel resumed combat operations overnight after accusing hamas of violating its truce. and jobina is at the live desk jobina. we're now learning israel may have known about the october 7th hamas attack months

in advance. >> yes, gloria, so a bombshell report claims israel obtained the battle plan used by hamas to carry out that attack over a year ago. the new york times reports the israeli military reviewed a 40 page hamas document last year. it called for a barrage of rockets at the outset of the attack drones to knock out the security cameras and automated machine guns along the border. israeli intelligence reportedly dismissed the plan as aspirational, but hamas followed the blueprint with shocking precision. that's a direct quote from abc news and also abc news has not reviewed the document and israeli military declined to comment here. about 140 hostages remain in gaza right now, including at least eight americans. us officials admit they know little about the american hostage condition. >> we will not stop working until we get every hostage back home with their families and loved ones. at the same time, we

not guilty. the republican ethics committee chairman says santos is at the center of a complex web of unlawful activity. >> he has manufactured his entire life to defraud the voters of his district and honest choice for a member of congress. >> santos defended his legislative record as stellar and said he's at peace. whether or not he gets expelled. if two thirds of house members vote to oust santos, his exit would be immediate. >> and now to the so called red state versus blue state debate. governor gavin newsom and florida governor ron desantis argued about some of the nation's most pressing problems in last night's highly anticipated face off. desantis attacked newsom over crime, homelessness and population loss in california. newsom called out desantis on his struggling presidential campaign on abortion and lgbtq plus rights here in the bay area, there are mixed reactions about who won the chair of the san francisco

republican party says the florida governor is the clear winner. >> i think a lot of that has to do with i think ron desantis, frankly, is smarter guy and a more seasoned a guy. >> he says that desantis showed more strength on topics like the economy and immigration. but on the other side, some say newsome scored big for criticizing desantis over his controversial don't say gay bill. >> he's also 41 points down in florida, his home state, and governor newsom was kind enough to bring that up a couple of times. >> desantis will be back on stage next week for the fourth republican primary debate in alabama. >> the bay area air quality management district issued four notices of violation to chevron connected to monday's flaring episode at its richmond refinery . three of the violations were for visible emissions and one was for being a public nuisance. s chevron says a partial power failure caused that, flaring an

air district spokesperson says the investigation is ongoing and more violations may be issued. and now members of congress are calling on regulators to hold the martinez refining company accountable for its recent flaring. representative john garamendi says as long as we use fossil fuels, refineries have to be more mindful about people's health. >> there's a long history of this particular refinery of flaring, of emissions, of various kinds being sent into the air and contaminating the communities nearby. that's got to stop. >> he's asking the state and county to closely monitor the refinery. martinez refining company says the recent flaring happened after an operational incident saying, quote, we have been maintaining clean combustion. an during the flaring and ground level air monitoring has shown normal measurements. >> the billionaire backed group proposing to build a new city in solano county has opened office space in the area. the california forever opened up several offices near the planned

development area, which is by travis air force base, the california forever projects backers hope to build a new city that is both walkable and affordable. the offices have teams collecting information on what local residents want solano's future to look like. >> we are all familiar with mass transit, but in east contra costa county, work is underway and something else that's expected to move around. people a little differently. it's called micro transit, and it would help california reduce its carbon footprint. at least that's the dream. this new project spans 28 miles. it'll connect four east bay cities. abc seven news reporter anser hassan explains how this project could help build a better bay area. >> the road to the future is coming to contra costa county right now. >> first and last mile is one of our biggest challenges here in contra costa county. and so we want to we want we don't want people have to drive to the bart station. >> tim hill is with contra costa transit authority. for the past few years, its been working on the dynamic, personal, micro transit system 28 miles that

will connect pittsburg, antioch, brentwood and oakley with autonomous vehicles. >> the vehicles are small. the vehicle is only five feet wide. you know, and so that reduces a lot of the infrastructure cost as well as operational costs. and the vehicles also electric. so it's also sustainable. zero emissions is using an app. >> users would show up at an access point similar to a bus stop or bart station. get in and off to your destination. the exact pickup and drop off locations are still to be determined. it takes you from, say, pittsburg directly to a bart station or to the downtown community center or to a university or a school like los los medanos college and all those really important points of interest to the community. >> eastern contra costa county has a population of close to 300,000 people and growing. >> the county estimates that 79% commute to work in other parts of the bay area. most using highway for one goal of this new system is to reduce traffic by

using a closed circuit roadway and help california meet its zero carbon emission goals. >> we also want to get people off of cars. that's the most important, i think, element here, which is how do we reduce our carbon footprint? it's a public private partnership which includes glide ways. >> it provides the tech and the vehicles which are being tested at gomentum station in concord, a ride that takes you 25 minutes will now take you predictably all the time. >> 6 to 7 minutes is the cost. >> $450 million. but still less than the billions. for example, to expand bart. next comes design and environmental reviews. if the timeline holds, the first glide cars would be operating within 3 to 4 years with social equity in mind. >> so we want to make sure that the fares are going to be consistent with the public transportation system to make sure it's equitable and accessible in the east bay anser hassan abc seven news. >> outside to the tam cam this morning, it's showing you we have good visibility, a little bit of a wind in our hills, but

for the most part we will find calm conditions early on before those winds pick up again later on this afternoon. >> some of our coldest temperatures right now in the north bay, 30 from calistoga to rohnert park, napa, good morning, are at 38 degrees. we're at 37 in ukiah, 48 right now in sausalito. so we are starting out with some chilly, very typical temperatures for this time of the year. and this time of the day, we'll have these numbers, though, slowly warm with another cold front moving through later on this afternoon. our south beach camera showing you folks coming in out of the city. a lot of sunshine early on, giving way to increasing cloud cover as that front moves through. it'll pick up our winds this afternoon. and another chance of an isolated shower, mainly in the north bay. and it's very isolated in nature. most areas are going to remain dry. however, tomorrow we do have the storm impact scale as a level one in the morning as another front moves through here and brings us a better chance of finding wet weather to start out the weekend, we'll show you those details when you can expect the rain where you live

below average temperatures the next couple of days. future tracker winds not as gusty as we were yesterday. yesterday we had winds gusting over 30mph. today it's more like 10 to 20mph as this next front moves through. future weather showing you an isolated shower. chance is possible this afternoon in parts of the north bay. and i would say probably just the sonoma coastline has the best bet of finding an isolated shower. but watch what happens tomorrow morning. it's a better chance that we see light rain across the region. here's 630 in the morning. some moisture moving through that continues through 10 a.m. and then this is out of here by the afternoon. the afternoon tomorrow is dry and sunday is totally dry. rainfall estimates today, again, very light, very isolated in nature, mainly in the north bay. and then watch what happens on saturday. everybody has a better chance of finding some light showers to start out the weekend . so the storm impact scale isn't used tomorrow. it's a level one light storm for scattered showers. your biggest impact, again, just some slick roads and low visibility as these light showers move through . but the second half of

in 1955. parks decision to not give up her seat to a white man sparked the 13 month long montgomery bus boycott, but it ultimately kicked off the civil rights movement. lawmakers are pushing for a bill to honor the civil rights activists. the congressional black caucus hopes to make december first, rosa parks day and a federal holiday. it would be the first federal holiday honoring a woman. >> it's been 25 years since matthew shepard, a gay 21 year old university of wyoming student, died after being severely beaten. that moment sparked the civil rights movement for the lgbtq, plus americans, and it led to a federal legislation to fight hate crimes. today, matthew would have turned 47 years old during a remembrance anniversary yesterday. his parents expressed their concern that the hate that was directed at gay people is now targeting the trans community. >> really scared and infuriated all at the same time because we came so far in acceptance, not

suspect neema. >> mumini are outraged over these jailhouse pictures posted in a san francisco standard article earlier this week. now going so far as calling for a change of venue from momen's trial. >> obviously, the media publicity. okay the reputation of the defendant, the reputation of the victim, whether or not a person can get a fair and impartial jury, the ex-wife of late tech executive bob lee momin's, alleged victim, spoke with us after learning of the motion. >> at first it was a little shocking and confusing, but at the same time, you know, if you look at the case in a whole, i don't think it matters where they judge it at. he it's a pretty set case. you know, he murdered a man in cold blood. >> that, though, is something that a jury would likely decide on during a trial. >> i think the defense just they're just fishing for things now at this point. >> legal analyst stephen clark says a motion like this is a long shot here because we have

seen both nima momeni and bob lee's image attacked. >> certainly mr. lee's drug use was trumpeted by the defense early on in this case, and his reputation has been diminished because of that. and now the defense is saying that mr. momin's being targeted because of these jail photos. it's just interesting that the defense comes out and complains about pretrial publicity. at the same time, they're holding press conferences after every court appearance. >> clark believes the judge is likely to strike down the motion when it is ruled on in january. >> what i want to see here, i don't care where the where they do the venue at, i want to see justice for bob. our family has been through enough at this point. my children, myself, my father in law, my brother have been traumatized by all of this. every delay that they do is another, you know, forgive it. forgive me, but it's another knife in the heart. a tentative trial date in this case has been set for march jr stone, abc

seven news actress felicity huffman is speaking publicly for the first time since a college admissions bribery scandal rocked higher education. >> she became the face of the scandal behind her daughter, an unfair advantage. jobina is at the live desk and jobina now she's explaining why she did it. >> gloria huffman spoke to our sister station in los angeles. she said she wanted to give her daughter a chance at a future, which meant breaking the law. in this case, the oscar nominee paid $15,000 for someone to falsify the results of her daughter's sat exam. husband says she had second thoughts when she took her daughter to take the test in 2017, but decided to go with her decision. >> i know this seems crazy at the time that that was my only option to give my daughter a future. her and i know hindsight is 2020, but it felt like i would be a bad mother if i didn't do it. >> huffman says fbi agents woke
