and welcome to toyota. after the game, we are just a few days away from christmas day and abc seven. the place to be. we bought both the warriors and 40 niners right on our air monday night. but before we unwrap those christmas presents, let's start with some action on the field today, starting with our toyota. let's go places. player of the day with christmas again

on monday. makes sense that our player of the day is rudolph. yeah steelers quarterback mason rudolph making his first start in two years. starting quarterback kenny pickett out with an ankle injury. mitchell trubisky has been an ineffective of late, so rudolph threw an 86 yard touchdown pass in the steelers second play of the game. finishes with two touchdown passes and 290 yards passing. santa knows rudolph was the president the steelers needed as pittsburgh rolls the bengals 3411, it's the most points they've scored all year. they snap a three game losing streak. they're now eight and seven staying in that crowded afc playoff picture. it's mason rudolph our toyota. let's go places player dane speaking of monday we are packed on christmas day. open the presents . enjoy. warriors nuggets at 11:30 a.m. then the celtics and lakers will follow. fast forward to football in the evening nfl countdown leads into the 40 niners and ravens followed by after the game, albeit levi's. larry will be here with mike in studio. as for the warriors, with the win tonight, they'd be over 500 for the first time in more than a month, hosting a

ages 12 and 13, died after a hit and run driver slammed into the family's car. tonight that family is shattered and a neighborhood is outraged. good evening and thanks for joining us. i'm dionne lim. the search is on tonight for that hit and run driver. abc seven news reporter anser hassan joins us live from antioch tonight with the latest on this story. and answer. you actually spoke with a man who tried to save those boys. dion >> good evening. that's right. that man says he's still shaken up learning about those two brothers died, though. he says the father was taking the boys home and were just a few blocks away. two brothers are dead from

a hit and run accident near downtown antioch. it happened after 11 p.m. on friday night. maurice howell says he saw the speeding suv and then moments later, heard the crash. he rushed over and saw the dad asking for help to get his sons out of the car. >> the gentleman. he said, get his kids. so we was trying to open the back door to get his kids and the back door was too hard for us to grab, and we opened the front door and we got the little boy out. howell says the father, who was driving the car that was hit, wanted to put his son under the water, shooting out from the hydrant, hoping that he just passed out from the impact of the crash. >> so we put him in the water and he never responded. antioch police say the suv was speeding when it hit the car. police say the driver of the suv took off on foot. the two boys were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. you heard the crash? >> yes, i did, yes i did. >> alicia bryant lives just a few doors down from the intersection. she says part of the problem is that drivers

ignore the speed limit and the stop signs. >> you see a lot of fast cars driving by all the time. you have to really be careful, especially on the stop signs, because they don't stop. and that's really scary. it really is, howell says. >> after he drove the father home. i put myself in his shoes and i don't know what i would be doing, man. >> i was my heart go out for the family because it's just rough. around christmas time, too. and i hope they get the guys that did it. >> dion, along with complaints of people speeding out here, there are very few streetlights, so it's dark out here as well. i want to add we did reach out to the antioch police department for any updates. they did not return our request for comment. reporting live anser hassan abc seven news. >> it is so tragic. we know you will stay on top of it. answer. many thanks. moving on to new details now on a deadly shooting of a pizza delivery driver in oakley. we now know his identity. 24 year old gabriel stewart was killed on wednesday. there is a gofundme fundraiser

to help support his mother. that page says stewart was working to pay for college and was in his final semester before transferring to cal state east bay. he was on a break from work, sitting in his car when a vehicle pulled up next to him and a passenger got out and shot him. the search continues for a suspect and the latest now on the israel-hamas war. israeli oil continues to resist international pressure to scale back its offensive. abc news reporter jay o'brien tells us president biden today spoke with israel's prime minister. >> the israeli army releasing footage on saturday, it says shows idf troop operations around southern gaza city's east district at the gaza strip, as well as airstrikes on some hamas targets. hamas rescue officials in gaza claim an israeli airstrike killed 76 members of an extended family. one day after the united nations chief warned that nowhere in gaza is safe and that the ongoing israeli offensive is creating, quote, massive obstacles to

delivering humanitarian aid. israel striking various locations in northern gaza on saturday, including jabalia, home to gaza's largest refugee camp, the un estimates approximately 85% of gaza's population has been displaced since the conflict began, a report from the un and other agencies says a quarter of the population or more than half a million people in gaza, are starving. prime minister benjamin netanyahu, continuing to emphasize israel will not stop until it destroys hamas and all remaining hostages taken on october 7th are released on saturday, president biden spoke with the prime minister. a private conversation i can i did not ask him to call. meanwhile, in the west bank, the city of bethlehem has canceled christmas events, including festive lights, the tree in manger square and activities for children. >> the feeling in bethlehem. we feel that we are in mourning. we feel very sad as we are essential. part of palestinian

community. >> city officials worry the cancellation of christmas festivities, which typically draw thousands of visitors, will be a severe blow to the town's tourism dependent economy. jay o'brien abc news, washington. >> a pro-palestine protest took place in downtown san francisco as an attempt to disrupt holiday shoppers. there will be free palestine. hundreds of protesters marched down market street toward bustling union square, calling for an immediate end to the war between israel and hamas. at about 130, traffic had come to a halt near powell street, where the protesters encountered police. at one point, police advised shoppers to avoid the area after demonstrators became rowdier. now, multiple demonstrators were arrested at that protest. union square experienced some vandalism, including graffiti, but police were able to disperse the crowd. the tree in union square was start tonight. it was not clear if it was a result of

58. all these temperatures are right about the normal to the average for this time of year. uh- san francisco, the city proper, down to about 56 degrees tomorrow, and about 58 in south san francisco as well. let's head up to marin county and up into wine country here, 59 degrees in sonoma tomorrow, 58 in napa. as i said earlier, the temperatures are going to be fighting to get to 60 degrees tomorrow. and i don't think many are going to get there. uh- here's the east bay now. berkeley at 57 degrees and a few 6060, in newark and 60 degrees over into fremont and out here, 57 in pittsburgh, 58 degrees in concord and 59 degrees in walnut creek. so again, expect a nice cool day tomorrow for your christmas eve. let's look across the country. so 65 degrees down in the beautiful city of l.a, las vegas is going to be at about 58 uh. there will be just a little bit of some snow moving out through the rocky mountains tomorrow. so denver at about 30 for a big system. some showers tomorrow. so this thing going from new orleans all the way up into fargo and you can see

kansas city is going to get some showers as well. and maybe a chance of some thunderstorms in oklahoma city on christmas eve and tomorrow, tampa and miami pushing near 80, of course. right. 48 degrees in new york city tomorrow with some light showers moving through the boston area. but of course, it's all about the two next big days. uh- christmas eve will be anywhere from about 58 to about 60 degrees. and then for christmas day itself, it's going to be nice and dry for the holiday. originally, earlier this week, it did look like there might be some light showers on christmas day night, but now it does not look that way. let's roll out your seven day forecast. so hey, big day. christmas day is going to be on monday and your 49 ers are going to be playing the ravens uh- how it looks right now is that wednesday. that could actually be a pretty big rain day. maybe some areas see about an inch of rain. most spots just about a 10th of an inch. and then some showers as well. coming up on friday saturday as we expect another weather system is going to be moving in. coming up here for the weekend, and it could also affect any of your new year's plans that you may have
