unsealed last night. >> the names in those documents include bill clinton and prince andrew. this morning we're learning why attorneys wanted to depose former president clinton in a now settled defamation case relating to allegations against sex offender jeffrey epstein and his onetime paramour, ghislaine maxwell. >> we know that clinton has been publicly associated with epstein before the first batch of previously sealed court documents related to epstein were made public last night, one from a lawsuit filed by virginia giuffre. >> she's one of the women who say they were abused at epstein's home in florida, new york and on a private caribbean island. giuffre's attorneys sought to depose clinton as part of her 2016 lawsuit against epstein's former girlfriend, ghislaine maxwell, because her attorneys argued clinton is a key person who can provide information about his close relationship with maxwell and epstein and disapprove maxwell's claims. >> this is just the first of what's coming out about these names that have been associated with jeffrey epstein for a long time. >> giuffre made no allegations of wrongdoing against clinton,

contradicting a previous claim when she said she flew with clinton and the secret service in a helicopter, according to maxwell's unsealed deposition. she said the allegations that clinton had dinner on epstein's private island were 100% false. >> without virginia giuffre's lawsuit, this stuff wouldn't have been exchanged because it was relevant to the claims. and now the court has decided there's no good basis to keep this stuff under wraps from the public. after epstein's arrest in 2019, a clinton spokesperson denied the former president knew about epstein's crimes, denied clinton was ever on epstein's island, and said clinton had not communicated with epstein in more than a decade. >> also in the documents deposition from a witness who said she met michael jackson and magician david copperfield during her time with epstein. epstein died in jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019. his death was ruled a suicide. maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other crimes for helping epstein abuse teenage girls. she is serving a 20 year sentence, which she is appealing . in a statement overnight, her

lawyer said she has consistently and vehemently maintained her innocence, breaking overnight. >> two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a pregnant teenager from texas and her boyfriend and the suspects are a father and his 19 year old son. police in san antonio say it appears to have been a drug deal gone bad. savannah soto and matthew guerra were found shot inside a car last week. she disappeared just before she was scheduled to give birth. police say her cell phone helped them track down the suspects. >> one of the key pieces of evidence that we did collect at the scene was savannah's cell phone, with that information, the detective detectives were able to find a possible location of where the suspect vehicle that was released on that, on that surveillance camera, the surveillance video, a possible location where that suspect vehicle might be. >> the police say they believe the son killed the couple and the father helped move the bodies. >> turning to the middle east, major new concerns this morning about a wider conflict in the

region after twin bombings inside iran. dozens of people were killed during a memorial for a top iranian general. so who is to blame? this morning we have some clues. abc's ike and josh is here now with more ike. good morning. >> good morning andrew. officials are still trying to determine exactly how many people died. and some say more than 100. the biden administration saying it's likely isis behind the two explosions triggering panic on the streets of a crowded iranian city. the two powerful bombs detonating during a ceremony marking the death of iran's former top general qassem soleimani, killed four years ago by a us drone strike and considered the mastermind behind an iranian backed network of militia groups that included hamas and hezbollah. the scene outside a local hospital, chaotic as the wounded are frantically lifted down from emergency vehicles and pushed into the hospital on stretchers. officials say the bombs were placed in backpacks and detonated remotely, the attack killing scores of people and

new jersey, say the murder of a muslim leader does not appear to be a hate crime. imam hassan sharif was shot outside his mosque. neighbors who gathered last night blamed crime in the area. a $25,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest. >> new details about that deadly plane collision in tokyo this week. local media reports. the passenger jet's cabin crew told the pilots that the plane was on fire after hitting a coast guard plane, killing five people. air traffic control transcripts suggest the coast guard plane was not cleared for takeoff. another potential factor some runway warning lights were not working. japan airlines says the disaster could cost $104 million. now to the campaign trail. >> a new attacks between the candidates with just days to go before the iowa caucuses, former president trump overnight released a new attack ad targeting nikki haley. >> what president trump believes and what he will do and what he will implement, works, and it will benefit the families that are there overnight. >> south dakota governor kristi noem, hitting the campaign trail

you, we got you in idaho, a man is under arrest, accused of stealing a private plane in las vegas. >> the plane's owner reported that his emergency location transmitter was activated and he wasn't flying it. the faa tracked it to barstow, california, where police say the man was arrested trying to run away. >> now to the wild scene inside a nevada courtroom. a man lunging over the bench to attack the judge. here's abc's derrick dennis disorder in this las vegas courtroom. >> hey, whoa whoa, whoa. >> hey, 30 year old dobra redden unrestrained, lunges over the bench, right at district court. >> judge mary kay holthus pinning her against the wall, humbling her on the floor, knocking the court's american flag over until court staff and sheriff's deputies fight him off . the chaos erupting moments after a relatively calm sentencing, redden a repeat offender, had pleaded guilty to
