police academy. as with other agencies, vogan says the bonus is working in alameda, anser hassan, an abc seven news. this morning. >> the warriors are dealing with a huge loss the sudden death of their beloved assistant coach. the team says dan milojevic, suffered a heart attack during a team dinner last night's game was postponed because of his death. abc seven news reporter leanna howland is here now with more on the story. lena, he was so young. >> reggie that's right, dub nation and the entire basketball community is mourning the loss of coach dickey, as he was called after he suffered a heart attack the night before. the warriors would have played the utah jazz. the warriors had a private dinner on tuesday night in salt lake city, which is pretty normal. they were at an italian restaurant when coach dickey suffered the heart attack. cpr was given immediately and he was taken to a hospital, but he passed away yesterday morning at 46 years old. milojevic was in his third year as an assistant coach to the warriors, even helping them win the nba championship back in

2022. and before last night's lakers and mavericks game here on abc seven, the recently turned former gm of the warriors, bob myers, was fighting back tears talking about coach dickey. >> it hurts. he's um, it's just hard because, um, when you when you work with these people, um, especially for coaches. malika it you people say it, but you see them more than your family. you do you develop a closeness. um and it's just hard because he was this bigger than life person, and he he would light up a room, and i just. it's such a loss because he's gone. >> but for coming to the golden state, coach dickey was already a legend in his home country of serbia. he played internationally for 14 years and was a three time mvp, measuring six foot six. and then he turned to coaching around the world.

the repairs came a day after abc seven news did a report on the air. we first brought you the story tuesday. crews were out yesterday to patch up the four inch water pipe at indiana and marin streets. as we found out the delay in service was due to a shortage of public works staff and a large number of reported leaks. the city says some of the work orders are more urgent, since they involve 36 inch pipes. >> those are prioritized over smaller ones like this that, yes, they are a nuisance leak, but they are not creating any damage to any any residents. no residents are out of water. >> our newsroom got another call from a viewer about a different leak at a different location. the water department says they'll get to that one today. >> the effort to clean up a fuel spill in san rafael is expected to last until tomorrow. 1300 gallons of gas spilled when a tanker overturned early wednesday morning. police say the eastbound left lane of frieda's parkway, near northgate drive, is going to be shut down starting at ten this morning until two in the afternoon, and

then it will shut down again the same time tomorrow, though, so that crews can continue to mop up the spill. now, this morning, crews in san mateo county will be proactively cutting down eucalyptus trees lining highway 92. caltrans crews are working to cut down 12 trees, causing slowdowns and lane closures near the crystal springs reservoir. now, the work on this started yesterday. you eucalyptus trees are not native to california and they create maintenance challenges. caltrans says that some trees pose a significant risk to the roads. >> the tree is very heavy. top heavy, and their root system is shallow. so it doesn't come to a surprise. uh- to many arborists, when you hear of a eucalyptus failure, drivers are asked to plan for delays with lane closures in effect starting at 630 this morning, lasting until three in the afternoon. >> the works come, work comes only days after a scary incident in san francisco's golden gate park. you can see this large eucalyptus tree uprooted, toppled on the traffic and

abc news, new york 548. >> we're looking at the accuweather headlines this morning. we are dealing with dense fog out there, dense fog advisory in effect until 11 a.m. once we get rid of the fog, we have a lot of cloud cover. so today is an overnight last day limited sunshine. and that's ahead of our next storm here tomorrow afternoon and evening. it's a level one. on the storm impact scale for downpours and gusty winds over the weekend. we've upped it to a level two, a moderate system on saturday and sunday because we will find heavy rain at times today. enjoy the dry weather. it is a little humid out there this morning. you may find some pockets of drizzle along the coast, but for the most part we're just dealing with a lot of cloud cover and temperatures in the upper 50s to the mid 60s. we'll get you into friday. those clouds are in place in the morning, maybe some pockets of drizzle. first thing, but the main event holds off until the afternoon. here's 230 when the front is moving onshore, and then we'll be in and out of those showers through friday evening and friday night. and as those showers move through, the winds will pick up

as well. here's future tracker windspeed showing you out of the south friday evening. there likely gusting anywhere from 20 to 35mph. we could even see higher gusts along the coastline. looking at friday's rainfall will likely see some higher totals in the santa cruz mountains, where we could see areas over an inch. but for the most part, around the bay shoreline, a 2:45 quarters of an inch of rain where we find those downpours slowly moving through, we could inch closer to about an inch of moisture. the biggest impact is going to be some slick travel friday night, but this sets the stage for a really active pattern over the weekend and into early next week. we are tracking several storms out there, so as we take a look at our rainfall estimates, this is friday through tuesday, a five day window, our highest peaks could pick up anywhere from 5 to 7in of rain. the north bay will likely see 3 to 5in of rain, and then the rest of the bay area, a healthy inch and a half to three inches of rain. we're going to watch our smaller streams and creeks potential for minor flooding is there, and also some nuisance flooding on our
