>> florida governor ron desantis suspends his campaign while throwing his support behind another candidate. good morning. it is monday, january 22nd to start the check on our forecast with drew. >> it is busy this morning so we had heavy rain late last night and that is causing some residual issues this morning. here's live doppler seven over the last six hours and we were just in undated with rounds of heavy rain. we still have some pockets. this morning, mainly in the south bay, so we'll zoom on down just a little bit tighter in the south bay. there you can see we have those downpours through palo alto, cupertino. so this morning you may not find rain falling, but you may find some areas that are flooded this morning. even some trees down. we do have active flood warnings and flood advisories in effect, those areas shaded in green in the north bay, the santa cruz mountains, parts of the south bay. because we are finding standing water on areas on our freeway. so you do want to add some extra time to your morning commute. we'll keep it at a level two until about 7 a.m. the heavy rain is exiting, but we
5:02 am
have some leftover problems that will persist, causing a slower morning commute this morning. so here's how it looks over the next couple of hours. we'll keep those rain chances in the forecast through about 7 a.m. after 7 a.m, we'll get rid of the showers, but we'll keep a lot of the cloud cover. so today is a mostly cloudy day. an isolated shower, perhaps in the afternoon, temperatures going into the low 60s. we have another chance of rain coming our way this week. we'll show you that in a few minutes, but let's check in with sue and see how the commute is doing. >> pretty sloppy, as you might imagine. drew. good morning everyone. i'm showing you the san mateo bridge. it's wet. a lot of spinouts. chp has about 38 incidents on the board right now. and again, most of those are spinouts due to standing water and flooding in the area. and i believe we've got a bunch of flood stories to tell you about this morning. please give yourself plenty of extra time. the rain may be not coming down as hard, but it's still standing on the roadways. they uh- earlier problem just now being cleared westbound 580, the grant line on ramp and in the center divide. >> thank you sue as you heard

5:19 am
we'll keep it at a level two today until about 7 a.m. after 7 a.m, our rain chances do go down, but then they pop up in the early afternoon for the chance of an isolated light shower. we're not going to experience anything heavy later on today, but there is still the chance that we could have 1 or 2 showers linger, so today, keep the umbrella handy. may encounter one of those isolated showers. look at those temperatures for the most part into the low and mid 60s for daytime highs overnight tonight it's mostly cloudy. we'll likely see some areas of dense fog as that moisture condenses and numbers in the 40s and low 50s. now, future weather showing you tomorrow. it's a bright day. we are dry on tuesday, but then our next storm system arrives here wednesday morning. it is a level one i would just anticipate wednesday morning's commute will be wet. it will be slow, but that's the final storm we have on the seven day forecast. here is the accuweather seven day morning rain is exiting today. it is partly cloudy tomorrow. there's this morning showers on wednesday and then a really nice pattern develops here. we're drying out. we're warming up. there's that niners forecast on
