a new explosive memoir and kenya moore on the next chapter after divorce. that's coming up this week at 1 p.m, right here on abc seven. >> oh, listen to those winds. a similar sight almost everywhere in the bay area today. this was at the pittsburg marina this morning. where winds reached 45 miles an hour. some of the strongest gusts were in point reyes at 85 miles an hour. santa cruz mountains saw some gusts

nearing 100. now the storm has left one family in pleasant hill with quite a mess in their front yard. another toppled tree, this one large enough to cover the yard and even reach out onto the street. that is one of several spots in the east bay dealing with the cleanup this evening. at another location, a vehicle got tangled in some power lines that were knocked loose by the storm. really hard to keep track of all of the mess everywhere. >> you're right about that. we had numerous downed trees, power outages all over the place, and of course, widespread flooding. and that's going to continue during the overnight hours because the storm has not weakened a lot. its coverage in terms of how much rain, how far widespread the rain is, is what i'm trying to say has diminished a bit, but the intensity of those downpours is still with us. so the storm that was a level level four on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale earlier today, is now down to a level three for the overnight and early morning hours after the morning commute. this storm is going to weaken even more probably be down to about a level one, but right now

it's a level three. and as we look at the forecast animation for the overnight hours, you can see pockets of heavy downpours moving through the bay area. there is a possibility of an isolated thunderstorm or two on. we go to after the morning commute. you see us clearing out there and we'll have partial clearing tomorrow and a much calmer day in the second half of the day, but until 8:00 tomorrow morning, we still have a widespread flood watch in effect for virtually all of the bay area. a flood warning in effect for portions of sonoma, napa and marin counties up in the north bay until 8:00 tomorrow morning. we have wind alerts in effect down in the surface areas. the wind gusts may reach up to 50mph. so that's a wind advisor, but it's a wind warning for those areas in the hills. and the mountains where gusts could reach or exceed 60mph until 4:00 tomorrow morning. we have a high surf advisory in effect, and we have rip currents there that may be quite dangerous. so stay away from the coastline in the sierra , a winter storm watch remains in effect until 4 a.m. tuesday, so through the day tomorrow,

there will still be heavy snow falling there. and here is our accuweather seven day forecast by midday tomorrow. we're talking about a level one storm into the afternoon hours tuesday, wednesday, thursday we expect mainly dry conditions, but there will be clouds. the skies may look threatening from time to time. friday. our next best chance of some showers, maybe a level one on friday and then going into the weekend next weekend. fingers crossed. mainly sunny and dry. >> yeah, and toes at this point. >> exactly. >> do you think that this is enough of a stretch of dry weather that things in the ground situation will be better? >> well, with the rain that we had last week and now from this storm, the ground is still going to have a level of saturation that won't diminish significantly in about five days of dry weather. oh, we need longer than that. we get another rainstorm, even a light one on top of what we have now. we could have more flooding very easily. >> all right. we will watch it all. okay. thanks, diane. once again, let's get back to chris alvarez in las vegas with the preview of sports. now, chris. >> hey, don. coming up in sports, more from las vegas,

mccaffrey have a big role in this game. he wasn't on the niners four seasons ago in this game. now there's a lot of outside distractions that surround the biggest game in football. on 40 niners star defensive end nick bosa relying on some family help to help ease the stress of those ticket requests. >> yeah, i don't deal with that. my mother does. >> i don't have like a big group or anything. um, you know, going to the super bowl. it's really just you know, my immediate family, my, my fiance's immediate family, um, that's really about it. so obviously it's a it's a big game and, um, you know, trying to handle everything up until we leave and get on the plane to go to vegas. i think it's huge. and kyle's harped on it like, we want to handle everything before we get on this plane this week. as if we were playing this week. so um, it's been good. it's been efficient. cannot wait for the week of festivities. >> ten time nba all star steph curry continues to rewrite the record books. last night in atlanta, steph scored a season high 60 points, including 22 in the fourth quarter. he also

moved past the 200 and threes in a season marker. the 11 time he's done that, he isn't slowing down any time soon as performance reached rare air as he joined kobe bryant as the only players in nba history to score 60 or more points in a game at age 35 or older. uh that's pretty cool. >> i didn't know that that was his last game. yep that's special. granted, we lost. um. it's frustrating. obviously not coming away with the win knowing a couple plays here, a couple of plays there, it's a different outcome. and you know we're celebrating in individual performance like that. but just adds to the frustration of our season. you can only be in the present. that's the challenge that we have to make this season salvageable. uh you know, we're still four games under 500. if you know. i'm still motivated. just got to, you know, stick with it. trade deadline coming

two leading candidates for senate. two very different visions for california. steve garvey, the leading republican, is too conservative for california. he voted for trump twice and supported republicans for years, including far right conservatives. adam schiff, the leading democrat, defended democracy against trump and the insurrectionists. he helped build affordable housing, lower drug costs, and bring good jobs back home. the choice is clear. i'm adam schiff, and i approve this message.
