storm aftermath. >> downed trees, destructive landslides, historic flooding, and major power outages. crews across the state working to get a handle on the destruction. >> good morning to you on this tuesday, february six. are you still in the dark? >> still in the dark this morning. and this is the worst part of it. got an update yesterday. power was supposed to be restored yesterday. it's been out since sunday. it won't be restored for two more days, so it's been a tough yet. i know a lot of people. you know, neighbors pretty much in my community. everybody's in the dark. so it's been tough. >> i'm sorry to hear that. >> thank you. >> we have a little bit of good news and that's the weather. >> okay. >> good. right. yes. that's true. we have a few light showers out there. nothing big, nothing to write home about, but we're still trying to get away from that system that brought all the wind and rain. you can see where it is. southern california, the central coast. we go in closer and there's some activity offshore, but right now, as we look at the south bay and around alameda county, they're looking at just a little bit of wet weather west of san jose campbell there. and then
5:02 am
you can see right here just off the coast. but overall we are talking about uh- partly cloudy skies for most of us today. so yesterday we managed a pretty decent day as well. after those morning showers 50 right now in hayward it is 48. in san francisco with 40 in sonoma. so certainly some colder regions with partly cloudy skies around this morning for most of us 7 to 9 degrees cooler from oakland to novato. so it's going to be a cool one today. but notice the sky cover for most of us. partly sunny out there with numbers in the mid 50s. we'll be looking at , uh, some pretty good weather as we go through the rest of the week. in fact, we'll talk about a warming trend and drying trend coming up. gloria i'd like to hear that. >> like to hear about weather, uh, better weather ahead. also for the roads, because we know that it's been kind of a messy few days as far as the morning commute with the water on the roads, rain, debris, all of that kind of stuff. the wind. today, though, it's looking pretty good out there. if you look at this overall map, you can see mostly green, which is what we like to

communities without power. the utility says in terms of outages sunday, storm was rivaled only by two others. in 1995 and 2008. so let's look at p-g-and-e's outage map. green means up to 50 customers are without power. yellow is up to 500, orange up to 5000, and red. you don't want to be read. that's more than 5000. fortunately red is pretty rare on the map this morning, abc seven news reporter lena howland is in mountain view with the impact to our local businesses, lena. >> hey, reggie, good morning to you. we're in mountain view right now. we're only in the past couple of hours. power has been restored to this shopping center, which did spend about a day and a half in the dark. now, it was a much different story last night around 10:00, when p-g-and-e's said there were still more than 94,000 customers without power across the bay area, a third of which were in the south bay. that's where we caught up with restaurant owners scrambling to find food storage. the owner of el halal amigos and
