i seen pat run to me. i said, okay, time to celebrate. i definitely blacked out for sure. >> at one point, of course, you guys were down by ten points in the game. what turned it around for you? >> you know, i really don't know. it was really just the composure, you know? having guys like trav and pat bringing everybody together. we just come together as a team and just doing what needed to be done to get the job done. once we did that, everything happened how it was supposed to. >> what did you think about going into overtime? only the second time in super bowl history. >> yeah. i heard that, man. whenever they took the ball, they received the ball, that's when i was like, hmmm. i don't know if they should have did that one. now you're gonna give us what we can do to win the game. i think that was the mistake in there. but, you know, they kicked a field goal, we needed to score and that's what we did. >> they did. they kicked the field goal. all right. now it's your turn. you have patrick mahomes.

was that just knowing that you couldn't lose, knowing that he was your qb in that situation. >> man, i just feel like he done did it so many times, and those pressure moments, like who else would you want to have in that moment besides him? and what he did i think was 69 yards, like every pass was completed and running with his legs. i think he led the team in rushing as well. the things he does in those pressure situations is top to none and i wouldn't rather have nobody else in that moment. >> i'm sure. he's the mvp for the third time. got three rings and three mvp titles in the super bowl. we heard from travis kelce after the game, after he was yelling viva las vegas after that. but he was talking about a three peat. already talking about a three peat. that's never happened before. are you guys gonna do it? >> oh, it never happened? >> no, there's never been a three peat. >> oh, man. that's crazy. i didn't know.

a foot plus. berkshires, poconos and hudson valley. >> lot more coming. okay, ginger, thank you very much. we're going overseas to the rescue of two hostages from gaza as dozens were killed in rafa, the city in southern gaza where over 1 million palestinians are crowded into refugee shelters. foreign correspondent james longman is there with the story. good morning, james. >> reporter: good morning, george. overnight israeli defense forces say they launched a successful mission to rescue two hostages being held by hamas, brought to this hospital. this is a big day for israel. they were taken on october 7th. we're told that this operation led siege to a building in rafa where the two men were being held by gun point on the second floor. this was a complex situation. the idf say they took fire. the men were brought to the hospital by helicopter. medical staff say they are in good condition. while this operation was on going there were massive air strikes in the south. the palestinian hamas health

authority say more than 60 palestinians were killed. this as benjamin netanyahu says he wants to launch a military incursion into rafa. remember that's where more than 1 million people have fled for safety during this war. president biden has been critical of israel's actions in gaza and he reminded prime minister netanyahu this weekend that he should not launch that military if civilians aren't out of the way first. rebecca? >> thank you. we turn to the shooting at joel osteen's megachurch in texas. two people were injured and the female shooter shot dead. mireya villarreal has the story. >> reporter: chaos erupting at joel osteen's megachurch after a barrage of gun fire. >> i was just watching the service. he started -- they started shooting. i don't know. i just heard. it was more than ten shots. >> reporter: levi capturing the moment shots rang out.

>> shooting at lakeland. two people down. we need an ambulance. >> reporter: the shooter taken down, but during the gun fire, a young child shot, now in critical condition. >> we need an ambulance for the child. >> reporter: all of this unfolding just before service was set to start with hundreds in attendance. >> she entered the building. she was armed with a long rifle and a trench coat with a backpack. accompanied by a small child, approximately 4 to 5 years old. >> reporter: dozens of first responders on scene as parents reunited with their children. >> this is my church home. i go here every sunday, do you know what i'm saying? i'm praying for our pastor. >> reporter: despite the shooter claiming to have a bomb in her backpack, investigators did not find anything. in fact, law enforcement said had it not been for the heroic actions of two off duty officers quickly stepping in. as of right now they are not speculating on her motive but do say they believe she acted

alone. robin? >> thank you. now the reaction after former president trump said he would encourage russian aggression against an american ally in nato that didn't pay enough. rachel scott is here with more. good morning, rachel. >> reporter: robin, good morning. nato is america's most importance military alliance and donald trump is threatening to up end it if elected something the white house is calling appalling and unhinged. this morning former president donald trump drawing fierce backlash for saying if elected again, he would encourage russia to attack nato allies who don't contribute enough toward defense spending. >> if we don't pay, are you still going to protect us? no, i would not protect you. in fact, i would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. >> reporter: president biden calling those words appalling and dangerous and insisting if trump regains power, he intends to give putin the green light for more war an violence. the u.n. secretary-general warning any suggestion allies will not defend each other undermines all of our security

sustained when he was tortured as a prisoner of war in vietnam. he got backlash then. getting backlash now. he's standing by all of it george. >> rachel, thank you very much. former president trump is expected in court this morning for a hearing in the case where he's charged with illegally keeping classified documents. senior investigative correspondent aaron katersky is at the federal courthouse in atlanta. good morning, aaron. >> reporter: good morning, george. former president trump is expected here for a closed door hearing about classified information at the heart of this case. the hearing is going to take place in a secure room that's designed to manage the kind of highly sensitive material that former president trump is accused of mishandling. the judge has ruled some of it must be made public, but special counsel jack smith is here trying to convince her to reconsider, arguing that would expose witnesses to significant and immediate risks of threats, intimidation harassment. trump plead not guilty and attacked the case as selective prosecution after a different special counsel declined to

abc. seven mornings happening today at bodega bay salvage crews will siphon 1500 gallons of diesel fuel from a fishing boat that ran aground over the weekend. the us coast guard has been keeping an eye on the 58 foot aleutian storm for fuel leaks after it washed ashore saturday, the captain of the boat radioed for help after getting stuck in the sand on the beach at sonoma coast state park . all four crew members got to shore okay, the salvage teams will remove the fuel before transporting the boat off the beach for repairs. now, let's check in with gloria for a look at traffic. good morning gloria. >> good morning. fog advisory has been issued for the bay bridge and you could see right here from our camera. it is foggy this morning so that might, you know, really impact your visibility if you're driving today. also a little foggy, foggy out there in emeryville, but no major delays there. >> all right. >> and meteorologist lisa argen has a quick look at the bay

were the ones you just featured dun kings. i think the fact that, obviously, you had monster celebrities. you had ben affleck, matt damon, tom brady and j. lo, of course. so self-afacing. i thought matt damon stole that ad. i thought he was so low key, pitch perfect. the fact they now also, the name is in it. lot of the celebrity ads, it's what i call celebrity poo-poo platters. dun kings you will remember it's dunkin. obviously, also, ben affleck has an affinity for the brand. kind of all makes sense. i thought that was by far and away the winner. >> i think so. how about the ads without any celebrities? what did you think? >> what's interesting, statistically 60% of the ads have celebrities and 30% have multiple celebrities. only one in three ads don't have celebrities in it. i thought the budweiser ad, you can't miss with that. the clydesdale, very traditional. i thought the google pixel ad was a sweet ad. showed a person vision challenged that now they have features they can see.

along with him being so gifted at throwing the football. he's incredibly poised. big moments don't faze him. it doesn't matter what it is. he's been a starter in the national football league for six years. six times he's gone to the afc championship game. three times he's won a super bowl championship. i mean, when you look at it from that perspective, three super bowl championship, three super bowl mvp's along that way. and he's just 28 years of age. he is something phenomenal, make no mistake about it. as a matter of fact, i covered andy reed in philadelphia for years. i believe andy reed would have been retired at least a couple years ago had it not been for him having this kid. but because this kid is his quarterback, andy reed ain't thinking about going anywhere. >> let's talk about the other quarterback you eluded to. let's show some love to brock purdy and the 49ers. they really showed up last night. >> definitely, no question about it. the defensive coordinator steve wilkes did a phenomenal job coaching this team with their

defense. they played an outstanding game. christian mccaffrey is somebody i believe would have been the mvp of the super bowl had san francisco won. he led them in rushing and receiving yards yesterday afternoon, even though he suffered a fumble early in the game. he was absolutely sensational as well. brock purdy did a good job, threw for 255 yards, showed tremendous poise. wasn't wilting beneath the pressure. the only problem is, he's not patrick mahomes. and patrick mahomes is on the other side of the field. that was his problem, nothing else. >> that's vintage stephen a. i knew we'd get a little stephen a. out of you. all right, okay. the three peat. can they do it? can they be the first in nfl history to win three consecutive super bowl titles? >> i think they can pull it off. they are a first class organization. they are led by andy reed, one of the great, great coaches in the history of the game. hall of fame coach, no question about it. but when you take into account the fact their defense is so

young, so skilled. they're physical. they're fast. they're exceptionally well coached by defensive coordinator steve spagnola. you take that into consideration. if you were asking me the question as their offense is presently constructed, i'd say no. they need to get an elite wide receiver. they lost hill. they still won two super bowls since his departure. but the defense is what saved the day because offensively for three quarters they didn't have it. but i'm telling you right now, all they got to do is get a receiver so they don't lead the league in dropped catches the way they did this year, with 44 dropped catches. then there's no reason to believe they can't be right back here because of that man we were talking about, patrick mahomes. i'm gonna say it again, he's something special. make no mistake about it. he's a lot to overcome. >> same can be said for you, stephen a. smith. you are something special. can't overcome you. can't overcome you. before you go, usher halftime, what do you think? >> i was very pleased. i was very impressed.
