bridge camera. and you can see that it is really hard to even make out the roads or anything because of that fog. so from the toll plaza to foster city, it will take you 12 five minutes. right now be very careful when you're driving just because it is hard to see out there. and then if you look at our overall map, the white areas, that's where the fog is this morning. we're also following a sigalert. this is over in vacaville. there's been a two car crash on westbound 80 before allison drive. julian >> the fog was definitely heavy coming across the bay bridge also this morning. thank you. gloria people in san francisco are continuing to clean up this morning after that intense storm yesterday dumped nearly an inch of rain per hour. this is what it looked like at franklin and green streets yesterday when water started just coming up through the manhole covers there over in hayes valley. a similar situation. there was so much water it turned the middle of this intersection into a small fountain, one man said. floods came in while he was dining at a restaurant on hayes street. >> yeah, all of her. all of her time. the water was like uh-

told you about this story yesterday. neighbors say they heard a single gunshot shot at an apartment and saw police respond. and a crying woman run from that building. police arrested the suspect nearby in the area of poinciana drive and white oak lane. officers recovered a gun from the apartment. they say the boy's mother called 911 after that shooting. >> new developments the city of salinas is restarting the search for a new police chief, just a week after vallejo's interim police chief was said to have accepted the job. you may remember there were reports last week that jason todd had been picked for the job and was about to resign from the vallejo police department. the city of salinas never confirmed. todd was the person local media outlets in salinas say the process is restarting because of the way the candidates were identified. they had originally applied to be a assistant chief. when that position was filled, the rest of the candidates were moved into the pool for chief and just at the end, i

antioch mayor lamar hernandez. thorpe the current interim chief, will return to his previous duties this morning. >> we're learning new details about the emergency landing of a flight from sfo on monday, after the plane's wing suffered some damage. we first told you about the story and showed you the video yesterday morning, a gloria standing by at the live desk with more on this and gloria passengers there describing what they saw and how the pilots responded to this. >> they are julianne. united airlines flight 354 left sfo bound for boston, but it diverted to denver after that damage was discovered on the plane's wing. and now we have new video that shows the extent of the damage. so check this out . a passenger took this on the flight, and they say that they were a bit concerned after takeoff when they felt the plane shaking and a little while later, a pilot walked down the aisle, saw the damage out the window, and then went back to the cockpit. united airlines has confirmed the flight was diverted because of an issue with a slat on the wing. of the 757 aircraft. passenger kevin

emergency incidents from crimes in progress, fires, traffic accidents and reports of dangerous subjects. a remote controlled drone will launch from fixed locations throughout the city anytime a 9-1-1 one comes on to dispatch it was first explored by fremont police and fire in 2022. it's the first joint public safety drone program in the country. well, this weekend, san francisco will celebrate the year of the dragon ahead of the festivities. we are getting a look at the plans for security. there as sfpd says, additional officers and deputies will be at the parade and around chinatown. community leaders say the year of the dragon is already looking very positive. >> the first day of the new year, february 10th, was actually the most significant level of visitors. i think a lot of us have seen even before the pandemic, we had a nighttime level of activity on that saturday night that actually none of us can remember seeing, and maybe a decade or more, the chinese new year parade starts

just something experience. >> it's something to manifest. it's our decisions, not conditions that will determine the fate and future of this planet as it relates to the issue of climate. >> officials say the aim of this renewed partnership is to broaden and develop relations in the areas of innovation and emerging technologies, with a focus on artificial intelligence . new numbers appear to show that overall crime is falling in san francisco. data released by maryland and breed's office shows crimes like car, break-ins and retail theft dropped 39% in january compared to january of last year. property crime dropped 32. burglaries and robberies dropped 20 and 11, respectively, and violent crime fell 11. the mayor has previously claimed that overall crime in 2023 was at its lowest point in the last ten years, other than the pandemic year of 2020, and mayor breed used a visit to a senior center in chinatown to highlight her efforts to fight crime. the

support ukraine. the 33 year old ballerina has dual u.s. and russia citizenship. however, russia does not recognize dual citizenship. it considers her only russian. she could face 20 years in prison. she is expected in front of a judge next thursday. that's the 29th. the white house plans to announce new sanctions against russia on friday to hold the country accountable for the death of alexei navalny, national security spokesman john kirby did not detail what will be in the sanctions package, but he did say the sanctions will also try to hold russia accountable for its ongoing war with ukraine . navalny, a russian opposition leader and critic of russian president vladimir putin, died in prison last week. >> the former fbi informant accused of making false bribery claims about president biden and his son hunter, has been released on bond. a jail released alexander smirnov under the condition that he restrict his travel hand over his passport and wear an ankle
