parade. >> it's how john coakley celebrated his 73rd birthday. >> i had to get out of the house and come down here and do this. >> i love seeing all of our black people come out the different businesses and the different ethnicities. >> for years, the black joy parade has celebrated positive within the community. i love all of us. >> the black pride. we got over 127 contingents out here this year. one of our biggest parades yet, and it just continues to grow really, really excited about it. >> abc seven news anchors ama daetz and julian glover hosted a live stream of the parade. organizers say the parade for ticipants and the spectators make a big impact on oakland and the black community. it's helping to lift many small businesses in oakland's black business district, which runs along franklin street. >> we're hoping to reactivate this space and kind of bring some economic empowerment to this area as well. >> businesses like mentos, jamaican restaurant and bar owner cleve minto says the parade couldn't have come at a

chinatown, and today they was the community street fair. i love hearing those sounds. there were more than 120 vendor booths and some live music featuring chinese folk dancing, opera and drumming. mayor london breed and other city officials joined the celebration. families shopped around and got photos with giant puppet dragons, lions and other memorable parade pieces to the accuweather forecast, we go abc seven weather anchor spencer christian is here to tell us a little bit about what's up next with rain. no signs of any rain over the weekend so far. >> that's right j.r, beautiful weekend both days. nice and warm and almost spring like. but that's all coming to an end overnight. let me show you what's coming our way. here's live doppler seven, and you can see that there's nothing happening in terms of active

weather right now. we're picking up some moisture on the radar, but no precipitation is here. now, as we pull back a little bit and show you the movement of our next system, you see lots of clouds, a big mass of clouds out there moving in our direction. a little bit of green, a little bit of precipitation showing up there as it approaches the coastline. so this storm on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale is a level one storm. and overnight we'll see clouds increasing tomorrow scattered showers less than a 10th of an inch of rainfall. measurable rain expected from this storm. and we'll have breezy conditions starting the forecast animation 10:00 tonight. notice how the clouds increase overnight. 5:00 tomorrow morning as the commute gets underway, we see pockets of scattered showers pushing onshore, moving through the bay area throughout the day and into the early evening, and then pretty much over. but there's a lot more coming later in the week and i'll show you that in just a few moments. >> jr thank you so much. we look forward to it. in the east bay, there was a rally this morning to honor slain shopkeeper aristeo zambrano. he was a former united farm workers leader of the 1970s and a longtime oakland business owner. organizers say his story

embodied the american dream. zambrano was killed in his own auto repair shop on international boulevard earlier this month. today rally supporters and speakers were there demanding an end to the violence that is plaguing oakland. former president donald trump is signaling that he believes the primary is over. after calling on republicans to unify behind him. this follows a decisive defeat yesterday of nikki haley in her home state. abc news reporter jay o'brien has the latest from the campaign trail. >> the race for the republican nomination. now turning to michigan. and then super tuesday after former president donald trump beat challenger nikki haley by 20 points in her home state, south carolina. the former president's campaign saying the primary is over. there's never been a spirit like this, and i just want to say that i have never seen the republican party, so unified as it is, right now. once a popular

two time governor in the palmetto state, nikki haley, now looking past the loss here and vowing to stay in the race until super tuesday in early march, when 15 states will go to the polls. >> i don't believe donald trump can beat joe biden, nikki every day, trump drives people away. >> haley supporters we met pushing her to stick it out as a republican alternative to trump. she wants to move past the drama and focus on the american people. >> are you concerned that she may not secure the nomination, though? >> you know, i'd like to let everybody vote. i think she still has a lot of fight left in her. >> but trump still pulling from a passionate base of supporters. >> he's just done great things for the country. he just can't go wrong with his results. >> exit polls showing most south carolina republican primary voters view trump as more likely than haley to beat president biden in november, and a majority say trump would be fit to serve as president if

convicted in one of his four pending criminal cases. nikki haley told supporters here she's sticking in the race because she believes that former president trump and president biden are both unpopular with voters and saying she's going to keep making that case. her campaign, already promising what it says will be seven figures worth of campaign ads in those super tuesday states. jay o'brien, abc news charleston, south carolina one man who thinks donald trump will win the republican nomination is california's governor. >> he had choice words today about trump. >> he's unhinged. he's a much weaker candidate than he was a few years ago. democrats are stronger. we're winning 18, 20, 22, 23. you saw in new york. three. we continue to win. we continue to outperform. and donald trump is a big part of that. >> polls show voters have concerns about president biden's age, but governor newsom says he's not worried that that will impact biden's chances of beating trump. the voting centers are now open across the

bay area, voting began at san francisco city halls voting center this weekend. people can cast paper ballots or vote by touch screen. 23 voting centers opened yesterday in santa clara county, and 20 polling places opened this weekend in alameda county. early voting sites will open in contra costa county this friday. well, why did parts of the bay area plunge into darkness for days during a recent rainstorm? that's the question san francisco supervisors want answered. the move to hold p-g-and-e's accountable ahead also, at&t makes a goodwill gesture today to customers impacted by a service outage. you could be getting some money to

about power issues in the city. storms earlier this year caused outages that left people without power for days. tomorrow board of supervisors committee is asking for information about p-g-and-e's response and the measures the company is taking to prevent further disruptions. it comes as customers are about to face a second rate increase this year and as p-g-and-e's reports, massive profits just this past thursday, p-g-and-e's announced its 2023 profits increased nearly. 25% over the year before. new developments if you're an at&t cell phone customer, you may be getting a $5 credit. at&t said today it will be applying the credit to accounts potentially impacted. by thursday's network outage. a statement posted to its website

little bit of water, spencer chris, i haven't seen anything like that, not at the parade yesterday. the chinese day, lunar new year parade. lots of sunshine yesterday. >> it's just beautiful and beautiful today. oh, absolutely. once again today. and we love seeing that water at oroville because one of our key water supplies right there. and there's some more water in the way. okay. from the air. so here's a look at live doppler seven. you can see that our sunny days are about to end for a while. we've got a little bit of a storm approaching. it's a weak one and you can see the little bit of green showing up right there on the screen. a closer look at that later. right now though, checking out the wind. you can see at the surface we have a couple of gusty locations sfo, hayward 2320 four miles per hour. so it's breezy, but not terribly gusty. it is cooler than at this time yesterday though. by five degrees in san carlos and mountain view, seven degrees cooler in san francisco, nine degrees cooler in oakland. so that's part of the approaching storm cooler air is arriving in the bay area right now. it's up in the upper 50s at san francisco and oakland, 61 at hayward, 60, san jose, san jose,

san mateo 60, san jose 65. that's our warm spot, at least on this panel. and 57 degrees at half moon bay. looking at blue sky over the golden gate. other temperature readings right now. mid to upper 50s up north at petaluma and santa rosa. napa is at a even 60 degrees and we have mid 60s at fairfield, concord and livermore. let's check out our forecast headlines tonight. we'll see clouds increasing tomorrow. light scattered showers. but there will be some wet spots for the morning and perhaps even the evening commute. end of the week. it's going to be rainy, breezy and chilly, so let's move along and take a look at what's coming our way with the next storm. on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale, this is a light level one storm for tomorrow. we expect scattered showers, rainfall totals under a 10th of an inch. most locations, and breezy conditions as well. so forecast animation starting at 10 p.m. shows clouds increasing overnight and some spotty showers developing in the early morning hours. just as the morning commute gets underway around 5 a.m. or so, and that pattern will continue for scattered showers through the morning into the afternoon. and

finally, we'll see the showers winding down in the early evening hours. so by 10:00 tomorrow night, it should be all over with rainfall totals not only under a 10th of an inch, but in many locations under five hundredths of an inch. so not a very wet storm. uh- overnight lows generally in the mid to upper 40s, so a little cooler than the last couple of nights have been highs tomorrow. certainly cooler than today. upper 50s to about 6061 degrees. some inland locations may reach 62 concord, antioch, maybe 63 at fairfield and here is the accuweather seven day forecast level one storm tomorrow. giving way to sunny skies on tuesday and wednesday. not much of a warm up there. maybe a few degrees. then it cools down again on thursday and in fact it gets cooler. wetter and just kind of drearier from thursday through the weekend. high temperatures by saturday will barely reach into the low to mid 50s. wow so it's going to feel like winter and it's going to be wet. you know, after the
