today. drew is here with the forecast for what to expect as you get ready. it is a rain jacket kind of day. >> good morning everybody. it is wednesday march 6th. yeah. >> so don't get caught in that rain. hi drew. >> yeah. good morning. it's a busy day on live doppler seven. we have showers moving through the south bay up into the peninsula. the showers that work through half moon bay are on their way into the city. but we're focusing on the south bay because this is where we've seen some of the heaviest rain so far this morning on live doppler seven. the brighter colors, the yellows, the reds indicating those quick moving downpours, another one about to move into willow glen, milpitas is getting soaked and we have seen some quick moving showers around this area, so a flood advisory is in effect. just be aware there may be some standing water on our roads like 82 even 680 this morning. just take a little bit slower out there. it's a level one today for these quick moving downpours. even the chance of a thunderstorm popping up later on this afternoon. so certainly you do want the rain gear today. it's just a stormy sky throughout the day. so this morning we'll track those downpours that are mainly in the

of california is basically leans republican. >> he gave him free advertising and they showed up. >> where it goes from here is going to be interesting. >> if schiff goes on to win in november, as expected, it will be the first time in more than three decades that california will be without a woman. senator schiff would also become the first white man from california to serve in the senate chamber since john seymour, which was in 1992. now to the only measure, the entire state voted on prop one. >> it authorizes more than $6 billion in general obligation bonds to build mental health facilities and cover substance addiction treatment. now, this has been a key push from governor newsom in his plan to fix homelessness in the state. and gloria, this proposition is extremely close right now. >> it is kumasi. it's pretty much a dead heat right now. so let's look at the numbers here right now. 50% voting yes in favor of prop one and 49% voting no. and you can see the vote difference here is just 34,000

votes. and this is with 49% of the precincts reporting so far. now if you look here at the map of the state, you can see that pretty much northern and central california with a lot of no votes. when you look along the coast, a lot of yes votes in favor of prop one. and when we look at different counties, it is pretty interesting to see how some of the different counties have voted on this. you look at san mateo county here, for example, 57% voting yes, 42% voting no. when you look at san francisco county, check this out. 71% voting yes in favor of prop one and 29% voting no. and then when we look here, for some of the other counties, for example, up north, lassen county, 24% voting yes, 75% no. so really interesting to see the results. we're going to keep tracking this for you because again, we don't have all the results in yet on prop one. but we'll be updating you throughout the morning. >> reggie that is interesting. the city is clearly wanted prop

south bay focusing on the south bay. because this is the area that has been seeing some of the heavier showers this morning on live doppler seven. when you see the orange and the red, that is a quick moving downpour. that's what we're seeing around willow glen, san jose. this one just moved through campbell and you can see two 80in the region. 82 certainly a lot of roads in this area are wet for that reason. we do have a flood advisory in effect, this does include parts of san jose alum rock, where we do have some standing water on our roads this morning. just be aware of that. underneath one of these quick moving downpours that water can pile up. we have this line of showers that just exited half moon bay on its way north, so we'll time it out for you. moving into the city closer to 630 this morning, crossing the bay into tiburon right around 655. and then if it holds together, san rafael, you'll see a quick downpour around 721, low pressure fueling all these showers. it's aimed at southern california, so we're going to miss the heavier rain today. but the chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast. it's level one today for this low pressure system. the best chance of a thunderstorm probably later this afternoon between 2 and 5 p.m.
