teacher who was injured during the shooting, described her initial response, saying she felt stung by hot water and could not process that she had been shot while remaining hyper focused on barricading the door to protect other students. she says she remained fearful of opening the door even when help arrived. james's wife, jennifer, was convicted of the same charges last month, the first time a parent of a shooter in america was convicted of their involvement in a shooting. jennifer had placed blame on her husband during the trial, testifying that he was responsible for the gun their son used. >> i just didn't feel comfortable being in charge of that. it was more his thing. >> but experts say james's defense will likely pin the blame on the mother. >> ultimately, she was the last adult to have that gun when she went to the shooting range with the shooter, and she was the last one to properly have to secure it. i think that's something that james crumbley is going to argue. >> it's unclear if james will take the stand in his own defense, but a student who was badly hurt in the shooting is expected to testify. as for
