on yulo street. abc news reporter cornell bernard spoke with family friends who say the victims were all related. >> i want an outpouring of grief in san francisco's west portal neighborhood, where a muni bus shelter once stood. anna and her friends, overcome with emotion as they left flowers at the scene for people they knew. >> we were friends from san francisco. really close friends. like very good people. like very full of life. >> she's portuguese and then he's brazilian. like they're living here. >> family, friends say the couple and their two kids, a toddler and a baby, were waiting at the bus stop saturday for a trip to the zoo when the driver of an suv crashed into them. rosario falero says the father and toddler were killed. the sfpd confirms a woman died from her injuries on sunday. rosario says she was wife and mom. >> a lot of things that we knew about, like love, was then, you know, like they were like amazing couple, like they had, like, no issues with anything. they were just like love, love, love and taking care of their,

their kids, you know, like then they were like going to the zoo, you know, like to have a nice day at the park. >> police say the baby survived the crash, listed in critical condition sunday. vilma franco brought her daughter to the growing memorial for the victims. her husband witnessed the crash and tried to help. >> obviously, i have my child, i have a kid, and i. i don't want to imagine what the family feel in this moment. how heartbroken is for all the community. >> it's devastating. >> jody medeiros from walk san francisco, a nonprofit advocating pedestrian safety, is heartbroken by the crash. her group planning a vigil here monday afternoon. >> nobody should die this way. we shouldn't. our community shouldn't be losing members of our community this way. uh- it's absolutely devastating. >> medeiros points to vision zero san francisco's goal to eliminate traffic related deaths and injuries. >> that we're not there means we need to be doing more. the city

needs to be doing better. >> our goal is to make sure that we're doing everything we can to ensure the safety of the people in this city, and it may mean changes, but we would need to wait until the investigation is complete. >> investigators still don't know why the driver crashed into the bus shelter. >> we don't know if the driver had a medical emergency. that is all under investigation. >> that driver is still in the hospital while a community mourns in san francisco. cornell, bernard abc seven news. >> just heartbreaking images there. the desperate situation in haiti is deterior getting further now. there are fears roughly a million people are at risk of starvation that alarming estimate is being made by the world food program and comes amid a political crisis in the country. gangs have attacked key institutions and shut down the main airport. they're calling for a quick transition of power after forcing the prime minister to resign today, there was some progress on that front. >> we do see the political

process moving forward. there was a terrific meeting in jamaica. secretary blinken represented the united states, where haitian led haitian groups came together and decided on this transitional presidential council to appoint an interim prime minister. so that's a good thing. >> hundreds of american citizens are trapped in haiti. the us government says it will organize a charter flight for them from a more stable area in the north of the country, but getting there could be difficult, with gangs also controlling the single highway to that region. bay area representative ro khanna is weighing in on the political battle that could get tiktok banned here in the united states , a bill that would require bytedance to divest itself or the video app or sell it passed the house last week. bytedance is the china based parent company of tiktok. this morning, khanna appeared on abc's this week. he voted against the bill and says it unfairly targets tiktok when the real concern should be protecting data in general.

>> two national security issues that proponents of the bill have cited. both are legitimate. one will the data get to a foreign government in this case the chinese communist party? two will the chinese communist party have an influence on algorithms? we can deal with both with a narrowly tailored law. let's ban any data going to a foreign country and protect american data. second, let's ban any foreign interference in a social media app, whether that's tiktok or another app. and by the way, those laws would also cover data brokers which are selling data to chinese companies. so this bill is not actually addressing the issues. >> it's still unclear if or when the senate might take up the bill. but president biden has said if it passes and they pass it, that is, he will sign it. if it makes it to his desk. saint patrick's day celebrations are in full swing, and the south bay celebrated the holiday with a high flying tradition. a saint patty's skydive capped the

festivities at the hiller aviation museum in san carlos. yep, that's a leprechaun leaping out of a helicopter and parachuting through the air. he landed at san carlos airport. just outside of the museum. there was face painting planes painted green, and more leprechauns hidden throughout its exhibits. no pinches for children who forgot their green. just prizes for kids wearing the festive colors is home of the holiday. thousands of people lined the streets of the irish capital to celebrate. organizers say this was their largest ever saint patrick's day parade, with half a million spectators. saint patrick's day observes the death of the patron saint of ireland, but it's evolved into a celebration of irish irish culture around the world. and at the white house, the fountains were flowing green for saint patrick's day. inside, the president was hosting a brunch for catholic leaders. president biden thanked them for their

does that add a little bit more okay a little bit yeah. yes so we had another gorgeous day. and as we show you live doppler seven the satellite radar image, we have the clouds off well off our coast. and that's because of high pressure. so here around the bay area, just a few low coastal clouds. that's where we've had partly cloudy conditions, but lots of blue skies elsewhere. as we look for mount tam towards the south and san francisco, the winds have picked up a little bit so it has been cooler, especially by the coast. san francisco's only 57 right now. hayward 60. hey word 64, oakland 62. there we go. san jose 69, san mateo 64. and half moon bay cooler at 57. and that's where you see the beaches. and now from the east bay hills, we are looking out west in santa rosa. 67, petaluma 59. but we're still in the low 70s in some spots, like fairfield, concord and livermore. so it did get a little bit cooler for most locations, especially along the

beaches and around the bay. a few degrees cooler. but notice some areas came up a degree. now tomorrow it is going to be even warmer. would help cool things down. is the sea breeze. you notice the winds are coming from the northwest, 26 mile per hour winds in san francisco and at sfo, gusting to 29mph from sutro. we're looking down toward san francisco. so tonight we're going to see low clouds and patchy fog once again. and then tomorrow it's actually going to be sunny and warmer. temperatures will come up into the mid 70s for some of our warmest neighborhoods. but the rain returns to the forecast at the end of the week, and it looks like it might be coming a little bit sooner than we originally thought. so here's a futurecast monday. tomorrow morning you notice we'll see some clouds spilling into the bay. we could see some patchy fog and some of the valleys once again, and then we'll get mostly sunny skies before the clouds return again overnight into monday. in monday night into tuesday morning, lows tonight will be generally in the upper

40s to near 50. san francisco 50, oakland and san jose 49. but some of the valleys like santa rosa, napa and livermore will drop into the mid 40s. and then tomorrow look for plenty of sunshine, except that the beaches will see partly cloudy conditions, but will still be mild. half moon bay 62, san francisco 67. lots of 70s around the bay. oakland 70, san jose even getting up to 76 and lots of mid 70s in santa rosa, napa. so here's the rain chance notice thursday night starts to go up. the rain is moving in friday and into the weekend. some of our forecast shows it starting in the north bay earlier on friday and then moving through the weekend. and then we have another system dropping in on sunday, bringing us some chilly weather. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so it's just going to be a nicer, even warmer day if temperatures rebound some mid 70s from our warmest locations. spring starts on tuesday and it will feel like spring with the above average
