and finally tonight, princess kate seemingly out and about on saturday. it could be the first open air sighting of the princess of wales since her january surgery in a video obtained by tmz, which claims the royal pair spent some time shopping. the couple in the clip looking sure-footed and spry, walking briskly together, smiling and chatting. it's believed to be the first image of kate since the palace posted that doctored mother's day photo a week ago, attracting conspiracy theories about the princess' condition.

littleton, massachusetts. the semi was in stop traffic, and the driver said he thought the rig had cleared the tracks. no injuries were reported, though. we have to tell you that a similar crash happened at that same crossing nearly two years ago. >> glad everyone's okay. we're getting our first look at a weekend rescue in southern california. in the forest, crews recovered a man from the angeles national forest after he suffered an ankle injury. he was hiking with his family. rescuers found him, though, thanks to the sos feature on his wife's iphone. she used it at the head of the trail, then led crews to her husband in addition to the injured ankle, he is being treated for hypothermia and from the uk, a story a lot of people are talking about online. >> we have a princess kate sighting the front page of today's sun newspaper says great to see you again kate. video of kate's shopping trip with her husband william was obtained by tmz. here it is. we are showing it to you. it is the first time she has been seen in public since having surgery back in january. it follows that doctored photo that sparked a firestorm storm of conspiracy

nice weather, allergies, i don't know. >> absolutely. >> winter is over. we did it. we will have much more on that coming up in just a little bit. we'll tell you what it means for your allergies coming up. but we want to begin with the effort to evacuate americans from haiti, where gangs are unleashing horrific new attacks as lawlessness grips the country. >> more than a dozen people were killed in a rampage on an upscale neighborhood. the american embassy says it's exploring options now to transport more u.s. citizens from port au prince to the dominican republic. abc's matt rivers is there in the middle of this crisis, with americans desperate to escape the gang warfare in haiti, we fly to port au prince, the epicenter of the violence. >> the only relatively safe way to get into france right now is on helicopters like this one. >> so flying right now, because what prince is a war zone. >> and as we land, it doesn't take long before we witness the horror so many have endured here for weeks. the charred remains of cars, of businesses all around us and not far away, the

bodies of at least 13 people riddled with bullets, left to die on the streets, crews collecting the dead. no one is safe for many, there's no food. hospitals abandoned. this is one of the main hospitals in port au prince. it's now completely closed. it was looted during some of this fighting. and just look at the destruction here in downtown port au prince. this is the aftermath. more than a week later, of this massive battle that took place between the gangs and the police, doctors saying without care, many are dying in their homes. have you ever seen a situation quite so bad? oh no. >> jamais jamais. >> nearly 8000 americans asking for help. the state department airlifting dozens out of the country sunday, that first u.s. chartered flight landing in miami. but the vast majority still stuck. like richard lubeck, who told me of his daughter's worry. >> at first few days, i didn't tell him what's going on. but then when things started

bond by next week, or he could lose some of his prized properties. >> there's no telling when the appeals court could rule, but if trump is unable to post a bond, the new york attorney general's office could move to seize properties like this one, which have long borne the trump name. >> trump is blasting the judgment as unconstitutional and un-american and unprecedented. he's also accusing democrats of trying to take his business from him. >> former trump white house aide peter navarro reports to prison today in miami. navarro appealed his contempt of congress conviction for defying a subpoena from the january 6th committee all the way to the supreme court, but that appeal was denied yesterday. navarro has been sentenced to four months. he is the first former trump adviser to go to prison for actions related to january 6th, the last known video of a college student missing for more than a week in nashville has been made public, new body cam images show. >> university of missouri senior riley strain on march 8th. speaking with a police officer shortly after being asked to

than normal. the cherry blossoms in washington have already hit peak bloom two weeks earlier than normal. while most of us welcome the sun and the flowers in early spring comes with consequences. >> we've had a really warm winter and spring and that's really kicking off our pollen season into a frenzy quite early, nearly every region of the country could now see a more intense allergy season earlier and longer. pollen seasons are something we need to prepare for. this is something that climate change is going to keep driving in coming years. >> from pollen in the air to smoke this year, texas has already seen its largest wildfire on record. officials as far north as minnesota are already warning of a high risk for fires. part of the problem the lack of snow adding to drought and water supply concerns in parts of the country. maple sirup producers also forced to make changes, tapping trees as early as january, the earlier spring also impacting wildlife. >> it is certainly strange. >> in the beginning of february
