"cowboy carter" and janai, you have more on her road to country coming up. >> janai: yes, i'm really excited to share that. so glad you watched the hulu special coming up. plus, airports are packed with holiday travelers and spring breakers. the busy lines you can expect if you too are heading out. >> trevor: we start with the efforts to clean up the wreckage from this week's bridge collapse in baltimore. it's shaping up to be a complex effort that will require heavy-duty equipment, and jay o'brien joins us from the scene with the details. good morning, jay. >> reporter: trevor, good morning. that cleanup hasn't officially begun yet, but crews are expected to start hauling away debris here as early as this weekend to try to get this vital port back up and running. this morning, around the clock

effort now gearing up to clear that massive mangled debris of the collapsed francis scott key bridge in baltimore harbor. but before it can be cleared, officials stressing they must complete a full assessment of the scene. >> i can tell you it is not going to be days or weeks or months. this is going to take time. >> reporter: the u.s. navy sending four floating cranes to the scene. this one, the largest available on the east coast. able to lift 1,000 tons. state and federal officials laying out their plan to re-open the blocked port, including divers and other crews cutting the bridge into pieces, each part then carefully lifted out of the water one by one. >> our team needs to cut that truss into sections in a safe, responsible and in an efficient way before it can lift those pieces out of the water. >> reporter: meantime, the army corps of engineers deploying sonar technology to better locate the debris and search for submerged vehicles.

this week ntsb investigators examining the ship's containers, 56 now determined to be carrying hazardous materials and investigators saying they've spotted a sheen on the water. but maryland's governor and coast guard officials saying there is no immediate health or environmental threat. the governor maintaining the recovery operation for those four remaining construction workers missing and presumed dead remains a top priority. >> we know that the priority that we have is making sure that those families feel supported and that they can have a sense of closure. >> reporter: meantime, the governor of maryland proposed a scholarship fund for the children of those fallen construction workers and president biden has said he'll come here to baltimore to survey the damage next week. janai? >> janai: so much damage still left behind there. jay, thank you. now to the americans on the move taking to the skies in record numbers for the easter holiday. abc's jaclyn lee is back with more. good morning, again, jaclyn. >> reporter: hey, janai, good

morning, again. tsa says they are seeing some of their highest numbers all year. they're screening more than 2.7 million pass jersey on thursday alone. they say this is busier friday before christmas and if we're talking about the skies we have to talk about the roads. aaa reporting that the gas prices have slowly increased all year long. the current national average is $3.53 a gallon. they say those numbers will increase as demand continues to rise. now, of course, we can't forget to mention april 8th that monday that we will have eclipse day. many of us are excited about that, but both the faa and aaa are warning it will be busy in the skies and on the roads so leave early to avoid the extra congestion. gio? >> gio: some good advice there. all right, jaclyn, thank you so much. turning to a big night in sports with the nets going big against the bulls to tie an nba record sinking 18 three-pointers in the second half of the game. dennis schroder and mikal

mention of an artist's race as it relates to releasing genres of music will be irrelevant. her mom tina posted on instagram, we have always celebrated cowboy culture and we also always understood that it was not just about belonging to white culture only. in texas there's a huge black cowboy culture. >> many people don't realize that 20% to 30% of cowboys were black and brown. >> reporter: beyonce has shown the influence of her roots in her work. her ivy park clothing brand released a rodeo collection in 2021 telling the often forgotten story of black cowboys and cowgirls. beyonce broke the internet in 2016 with "lemonade" including what's considered to be her first country song, "daddy lessons." ♪ ♪ came into this world ♪ ♪ daddy's little girl ♪

i'm stephanie sierra. the port of oakland is considering altering the oakland airport's formal name. officials want to replace the word metropolitan with san francisco bay. the full name would read san francisco bay oakland international airport. it would reportedly help airline service sustain passenger traffic, and reaffirmed the airport's proximity to san francisco. the airport code and visual brand would stay the same. the california public utilities commission is proposing to charge a fixed rate of $24 on customers utility bills. it says the fee will allow companies like p-g-and-e's to reduce prices and help utilities cover basic costs. the commission says. a san francisco customer with an electric vehicle and appliances could save, on average, $32 per month. all right, let's check on conditions outside with lisa. good morning. hey, stephanie. >> good morning to you. we have
