with the flooding emergency in south florida. >> at least two people are dead after torrential rains led to a multi-car pileup near naples. flash flooding left drivers stranded on roadways. some people were removed from their homes by boat. and now officials say the danger is not over yet. overnight, the national weather service sounding the alarm again, life threatening flooding possible for a large part of south florida through this morning. more water is not what they need here in collier county, more than two feet of rain has fallen. police say two people in the area were killed after a driver lost control, causing a multi vehicle crash in hallandale beach, where more than 20in has fallen. residents attempted to clean up even as the rain fell. for one driver, it was hard to tell where the road stopped. crews are pulling that car out of that canal right now. >> the woman who was driving the car says she didn't realize there was a body of water there. just look. it's basically even

about pardoning his son, he again ruled that out. also making it clear he would not commute his sentence back here in the us, it is expected to be another busy day at the supreme court, but thursday's ruling about an abortion drug is still on the minds of many on both sides of the issue. >> abc's christiane cordero has details on that. christiane. >> good morning, brian, and good morning to you. this was undeniably a big statement by the supreme court with the justices appearing to weigh in on an abortion related case like never before. unanimously this morning, a unanimous supreme court decision protecting access to the abortion pill brings near unanimous reaction beyond the bench. it's not over in the case. a group of anti-abortion rights medical professionals challenged the fda's regulation around mifepristone, accusing the administration of unlawfully easing restrictions around the drug. in the court's opinion, justice brett kavanaugh writes the plaintiffs have failed to demonstrate that fda's relaxed regulatory requirements likely would cause them to suffer an injury, while noting the plaintiffs have sincere legal,
4:36 am
moral, ideological, and policy objections to elective abortion and to fda's relaxed regulation of mifepristone. but that because they weren't personally injured, the case doesn't have legal standing. the court did not weigh in on whether the fda was right to roll back restrictions, leaving the door open to future cases. this is the same district court that already has allowed several states the states of kansas, idaho and missouri to intervene. we continue the fight. it is not over. >> we'll be back with another case with better standing next time. >> the ruling keeps mifepristone available by mail in most states where abortion is legal. in other words, status quo, which vice president harris says is not reason to celebrate. >> we are looking at the fact that two thirds of women of reproductive age in america live in a state with a trump abortion ban. this ruling is not going to change. >> that issue has expanded to include access to contraception and ivf. this week, senate republicans blocked a package of
