raymond burr vineyards knows well it kind of went from 0 to 100 pretty quick. >> it was everything was kind of fine because i was here. i was working in the tasting room. >> heavy winds and low moisture in the air were factors for fast moving flames. on sunday, the wind really started to whip up around, i want to say around 330 or 4:00. >> and that's when it started to get really smoky here. and that's when we knew, oh, the fire is actually right there. >> on monday, cal fire said conditions were much better. the wind was significantly less. after surveying some of the damage, crews determined that two homes so far have been destroyed in the fire. a number of other structures have been damaged, but it's too early to say exactly how many. according to cal fire crews got better containment around the fire and mopped up hot spots. cal fire says the five helicopters in the air on this monday were a big help with water drops, but the agency says the aerial attack at night, the helicopters using night vision goggles, has made a significant difference on this fire. >> last night we had two night

some progress overnight as well. temperature is 66 degrees. the relative humidity has been coming up at 37. and the winds are really light. there are no gusts right now south southeast to two miles an hour. there is a red flag warning nearby in solano county until 8 a.m. tomorrow. northerly wind gusts 20 to 35 miles an hour. combined with low humidity 5 to 15, keeping critical fire weather conditions in place. as we look at the fire danger index, you will notice that tomorrow, once again, there will be areas inland that will be in the moderate to high category in terms of the fire danger, one of the reasons is the finer fuels, like the dryer, are very dried out, like brushes. the trees are still okay, but the grasses are what we're concerned about. and that's why with the wind we are expecting the fire danger to remain elevated as it is going to be another gusty one across the bay area. i'll be back with a full look at the forecast, which does include the smoke forecast coming right up ama. >> all right. thank you sandhya.
