>> always live abc seven news starts right now. right you. >> san francisco uber uber >> we all need the love and the celebration. these days. and it is fantastic to be out here with everybody on a day when cities across the country are celebrating pride, san francisco is once again home to the greatest celebration of lgbtq plus community in the world. >> abc seven is proud to be celebrating pride all month and year round. thanks for joining us. i'm j.r stone. the 54th annual san francisco pride parade is now in the books. thousands came out to watch pride shine across the city and the celebration is still going as it continues into the

evening. abc seven news reporter cornell bernard is live at san francisco's civic center plaza, where the party is still going on. he's been in the midst of things all day long. cornell ager was just listening. >> i don't know if you can hear it, but pride definitely loud and proud here at civic center pride festival is wrapping up for the evening. it's been a big weekend. in fact. estimate uh- organizers estimate about 400,000 people came out for the two day event, but even more people showed up for one of the biggest pride parades around the in the world. celebrates pride 365 days a year, the last sunday in june, is extra special. alex and christian came to feel the love down market street. it just means being able to be out here and supporting everyone and seeing the support that is out there for all of us. the theme for the 54th san francisco pride parade is beacon of love. lots

pride to you. if you couldn't be there in person, you can still celebrate with abc seven, the official station for the san francisco pride parade. watch a re-airing of our parade on our stream or at abc seven news.com/pride starting at 630. the pride pre-party had some community members out this morning for a cleanup at dolores park. after yesterday's big celebrations in the park, people lent a hand to pick up the trash with the perks of a dj coffee and snacks. sound of the recycling truck there. organizers provided gloves, trash pickers bags and silent disco headphones to get everyone involved. the event was hosted by love dolores, which educates visitors on their leave no trace principles to keep the park gorgeous for all. if you're visiting, remember to always carry out your trash to the bins located along the perimeter of the park. parade goers got treated to some picture perfect

weather today, but cal fire says expect a potentially dangerous increase in temperatures this week. here's a live look outside around the bay area. beautiful out? yes, but the national weather service has already issued an extreme heat and red flag warning for this week alone. cal fire is urging the public to avoid activities that could spark a wildfire. it's already been a busy start to fire season in the north bay. this is recent video from the point fire, which charred more than 1200 acres in sonoma county. it was finally fully contained on friday after burning for nearly two weeks. abc seven news weather anchor spencer christian here you see those images there we hear about these hot temperatures. some concern very we're very concerned because for the six days ahead, we're talking about triple digit temperatures. >> every single day. here's a look at our excessive heat warning, which includes virtually all of the bay area. that's the area in in the darker color. and that's from 8 a.m. tuesday to late friday night.

then the orange area right around the bay shoreline is an excessive heat advisory. so under these conditions, there's an increased chance of heat related illnesses. please bear that in mind. stay hydrated. try to avoid prolonged periods of time outside in the heat. and of course, we have the fire concerns with the triple digit temperatures, the low humidity and the gusty winds from time to time on tuesday. we're talking about a temperature range in our inland areas from 100 to about 112 degrees, similar range on wednesday. not much change there at all. we'll see some 90s around the bay shoreline and even later in the week those triple digits will linger, maybe about 110 112, but still one 100 to 105. that's that's some intense heat. this pattern is going to continue right up into next weekend. so, you know, stay safe, stay hydrated. i'll give you a closer look at the accuweather seven day forecast in a few minutes. >> thank you so much. keep that sunscreen on hand. governor gavin newsom has signed california's budget to close an estimated $46 billion deficit. the move was made possible through $16 billion in spending

cuts and increased taxes on certain businesses. companies with at least $1 million in revenue will have to pay the higher tax. lawmakers predict this will bring in an extra $5 billion for the state next year. the deficit was about $32 billion last year, even growing even bigger this year happening tomorrow several new state laws will take effect here in california. it will become illegal for landlords to charge more than one month's rent for a security deposit. the new law, introduced by san francisco assemblyman matt haney, restricts landlords from charging two times the monthly rent as a security deposit. haney says 53% of renters in the state can't afford their monthly rent, but are not able to get an apartment because they can't afford two month's rent. what was supposed to be a weekend getaway has turned into a working vacation for president biden. still ahead, how the

speaker nancy pelosi is weighing in, expressing support for president biden following his poor showing in last week's presidential debate. the new york times reports that president biden was told by family members to stay in the race during a gathering at camp david this weekend. the trip was planned long in advance, but the times reports the purpose shifted after biden's rough debate. the president is trying to reassure donors that he has what it takes to stay in the race. on cnn's state of the union, nancy pelosi tried to turn the attention to the lies of former president trump that he told during that debate and on biden's integrity, we see joe biden up close. >> we know how attuned he arts to the issues, how informed he is. and i debate with him about legislation and not debate, but discuss it with them. he's right there. so in any case, it was a

bad night. let's not sugarcoat that. >> pelosi also said that if the democratic party chose another nominee at this stage, it could be chaotic. a warning tonight for swimmers heading into what could be dangerous waters this holiday week. some areas are seeing a spike in water rescues due to rip currents. an off guard, off duty lifeguard that is sprang into action in florida this week when he got word of swimmers in distress. he raced into the water that had dangerous rip currents following an earlier storm, the lifeguard managed to save a whole family of swimmers who had been swept 200 yards into the gulf of mexico. >> the hard part is, is recognizing where these things are. oftentimes, if you're not trained to see them and locate them, you don't realize that you're in that low spots along the beach or areas near piers or often where rip currents form. >> they say if you're caught in one, you should try to swim parallel to shore to try to

some concern. a lot of heat is coming. here's a look at live doppler seven along with the satellite and radar, and you can see the onshore flow. so we've got a nice little breeze right now. and for today, at least this evening, it might feel relatively cool. 40 mile per hour gusts at sfo right now and pretty breezy just about everywhere. so let's take a look at current temperature readings. we have 60s mainly mid to upper 60s from san francisco to hayward, upper 70s at san jose and redwood city, 57 at half moon bay, looking down onto the bay from mount tam. a nice view right now. 82 degrees, 87 degrees right uh- let's go back 88 degrees at santa rosa, 72 at petaluma, low 80s at napa, low 90s at fairfield to concord, 85 at livermore. and now let's check out our forecast headlines. and there's some concern here. heat wave ahead is going to bring excessive heat to us. and as a result we have an excessive heat warning which i'll show you in a moment. triple digit temperatures will prevail for the next several days. 100 to about 112 degrees in our inland areas. and that heat is going to persist at least into next weekend. now let's talk about that heat. excessive heat warning for the

entire bay area and excessive heat. watch for this area right around the bay shoreline. so during this period of time with this kind of excessive heat, there's an elevated concern, an elevated risk of heat related illness as well as an elevated risk of fire. so bear that in mind as well. during the overnight hours, we'll see lots of clear skies. overnight lows will be generally in the upper 50s. high temperatures tomorrow, low 60s at the coast right around the bay shoreline. we'll see some mid 80s. inland areas will warm up to upper 90s to about 100 degrees. and here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so tomorrow is our first taste of triple digit heat. look at tuesday and wednesday. inland highs will be around 112 110. and the hottest areas. and there will be several of those locations hitting those temperatures mid 90s around the bay shoreline tuesday and wednesday. thursday we've still got temperatures above 100 for the 4th of july, about 104 to 106. the max temperatures thursday through saturday. not until next sunday do we expect the heat to break, just enough

to give us some minor cooling. >> well, this video is great right here. klay thompson after his fourth championship. that's how many times he delivered a championship to the bay area. and now it's an all but foregone conclusion. the splash weather will move on from the warriors in nba free agency. so what city is captain klay setting sail for? espn reports klay plans to have discussions with the dallas mavericks, l.a. lakers. la clippers and the philadelphia 76 ers in the opening hours of free agency which is now underway. multiple sources saying he is open to a sign and trade deal. so that could be something for the warriors espn cap insider bobby marks says there are a myriad of possibilities for klay's potential salary, ranging anywhere between 12.8 million to 16 $16.1 million per year, based on the team he goes to right now, dallas can potentially offer the most money per season. while the lakers hold some sentimental value for klay, whose dad played for the lakers. klay grew up going to staples and watching kobe. reports say lebron james is pushing hard to bring klay to the lakers. we'll wait and see. the warriors,

though, have waived future hall of famer chris paul. the dubs pushed back the deadline of his $30 million guaranteed salary for this coming year to try and make a trade, but failed to find a partner. paul played one season with the warriors after being acquired via the jordan poole trade with washington last summer. espn's adrian wardrobe now reports paul has agreed to a one year, 11 million plus dollar deal with the san antonio spurs to join wemby all right, final game of the giants and dodgers in san francisco this season. that's a good way to get to work, especially today. bottom two one nothing game. jorge soler doubling off the center field wall runs scores two nothing san francisco he had two doubles today in the fourth four nothing. game two on for elliott ramos. deep drive. not a home run but bounces off the bottom of the wall. an rbi double five nothing. next batter it's patrick bailey with two on liner in the left field. seven nothing. giants. he had two doubles. the giants actually hit a franchise record ten doubles today. double double like an
