get the job done, that's a sign that i shouldn't be doing it. but there's no indication of that yet. none. >> reporter: despite what they feel was a strong night for the president the campaign is braced for more democrats to call for him to exit the race. they insist they can turn it around if they stay the course, if they keep getting the president out in front of voters and the american people, that he will be doing it again today, he will be in the key state of michigan, with a rally in detroit, the president hopes to turn the spotlight back on trump and his jeaned. >> george: -- agenda >> >> george: congressional democrats were the targets of that talk last night. what happened right after? >> reporter: i talked to democrats after the press conference, they said it's a complicated and worst-case-scen did was enough to ease concerns but not enough to

erase them. there were democrats that felt the president looked confident and in command, strong on issues of foreign policy, and national security. but there were other democrats that flat-out admitted there's not a single television interview, campaign rally or press conference, that would undo what happened in the debate performance. there's a growing sense, the president is running out of time to turn this around, a handful of democrats had statements pre-written, calling on the president to step aside, before he stepped on the stage at the press conference, they didn't release them out of respect for the president being on the world stage at nato, within minutes of it ending three democrats called him out and called for him to step aside, including the house intelligence committee, jim hines, bringing the to 17 democrats calling for president biden to pull out of the race. >> george: the president has a week to 10 days and after that, he's in or out?

>> reporter: the convention is in august, george, nothing changed after that press conference. on one hand, biden did exactly what his doubters asked him to do, come out, take, you know, an unscripted moment, an hour-long set of questions from all-comers. the most significant exchange came at the very end, when he was asked, if he would step down if he could be shown that kamala harris would have a better chance to beat trump. he said no, but unless there was no way he could win showing up in the polls. he told you in your interview, it would take the lord almighty to tell him he couldn't win, now he's suggesting polls could do the same trick, and the bottom line sdemocrats, many, many more democrats than you are hearing public a lot public as well, think there's no way he could beat donald trump.

>> george: there are more polls coming out of the battle ground states and it's important to remember, last time around, joe biden won by 4.5 points, it was a very, very close election. >> reporter: look, some of biden's supporters will point to the national polls that show the race essentially tied. certainly within a margin of error, but that doesn't matter. i mean, he, um, lost the popular vote in 2016 when he won the presidency, donald trump, so he needs to do more than be tied on national polls and the bottom line is consistently now for 9 months polls in the key battle ground states have shown that donald trump has the edge in almost all of them. almost all of the polls. so, clearly , lots of evidence that he's heading in the wrong direction in the race against donald trump. >> michael: turning to severe weather across the

divorce proceedings, still? >> guest: i hope he is okay, emotionally, and i wish him the best, emotionally, but right now i haven't had a moment to stop and think about anybody else except for, am i taking my prenatals in the morning, am i drinking enough water, i have so much to focus on, making sure that i am healthy for this baby. >> reporter: you have clicked into maternal mode? >> guest: i have. >> reporter: she knows motherhood will be fraught for her, she pleaded guilty after plotting to help kill her mother who forced her to undergo unnecessary surgeries, keeping her in a wheelchair with a feeding tube for much of her childhood. >> guest: with my past, people may question if i even should be a mother or have children in my care. >> reporter: if the critics wonder that, how do you feel

confident? that you will be able to teach your children right from front? >> guest: i know i am not perfect, i made mistakes in the past and i will probably make minor mistakes going forward. but at the same time, i do know right from wrong, and learning from past mistakes is a growth that comes with time. >> guest: i want to give to this baby everything i wanted in a mother. and i just want to be a good mother for my child. i want to be ... i want to be everything my mother wasn't. [ sobbing ] gegs ges my mother did >> guest: my mother did not want to see me meet the milestones every child should have. like going on a first date, a prom, you know, a bike ride. all of those little milestone moments that make life worth living. i didn't get to have that. and so, i want my child to

have all of the things that he or she could ever want in life. >> reporter: how do you plan to tell your child about your own childhood, and the role you had in your mother's murder? >> guest: that question has plagued my mind for a long time, i have come to a point where i understand that, that question will be asked by my child some day. so i feel like, when that time comes, ken and i will sit down and have that conversation, and i will explain, in the most honest way possible. >> reporter: will there be another docu-series down the road, will the cameras continue to roll? >> guest: you never know what the future holds with that, but once it is baby's born, i feel strongly that i don't want my baby to be in front of a camera. unless it's for home movies. i will not be putting my child

in the media. at all. >> reporter: why? >> guest: this world is so cruel. and unsafe. that .... there is a level of responsibility that i have to make sure that my child is protected. >> reporter: she wants to keep her baby out of the public eye, she's still sharing her pregnancy journey with the world. for now she's staying with dad and step-mom, not living with the baby's father and she getting that divorce, there are no immediate plans for marriage. and after the abusive childhood and 8 years in prison, the first six months of freedom are her first experience at independent adulthood, she's the first to admit she made a lot of mistakes and a lot of that was captured on the docu-series, gypsy rose, life after lock up, airing monday nights and more of that exclusive interview will be tonight on

affecting women 8-13% of reproductive aged women and has a variety of long-term affects on a person's health. >> pcos, tip of the day, talking about covering your shadow. >> reporter: one of the most common conditions, affecting women, for some, difficult to diagnose, polycystic ovary syndrome is a chronic hormonal condition affecting an estimated 1 in 10 women of childbearing age worldwide. >> guest: a lot of people don't understand that it never goes away. it's something that, is difficult and hard to deal with, every single day. >> reporter: 25-year-old rashika, says she had symptoms of pcos, before she was formally diagnosed years later. >> guest: i always felt something was wrong with me, i used to grow really long hair on my face and body. and, i also want dealing with

irregular periods, which at the time i was told was totally normal. >> reporter: according to the world health organization, an estimated 70% of cases undiagnosed globally. >> doctor: it is very common .... for pcos, to actually take time to diagnose, the severity and the range of symptoms. >> reporter: there's an absence of periods, high >> contestant: levels -- testosteo >> there's no distinct age at which it shows up, if you have change in the weight cycle or weight management or you notice an increase in the acne, considerco-- consider pcos, as a possible diagnosis. >> reporter: growing stronger and helping women to connect

on line. >> i go to tiktok and start ranting on a bad day, the feedback i get is honestly very heartwarming because i know they am not alone in this journey. >> absolutely not alone, we appreciate rashika, for sharing her story with us. we with are here now with the doctor, nice to see you. we heard there in the piece, a lot of this is going undicaginosed and you are dealing with it regularly in your practice. undiagnosed. what agency á do women typically get diagnosed. at what age? >> doctor: in the 20s and 30s, but they can be diagnosed from adolescents through menopause, in the early teenage years it's a tricky diagnosis to make, because it's normal for a teenage girl who just started having a period, to have irregular periods, that's not usually a cause of concern, we know depending on the study you look at, in adolescents, it

can vary 1-11% of teenage girls being diagnosed with pcos, and as the obesity epidemic continues in this country, we see more diabetes, and more pcos, if you have diabetes, you have a rate of up to 20% of pcos. >> lara: sometimes acne is more than acne. i wouldn't have known that. great that we are talking about this. and we mentioned in the piece, the impact on fertility. it's real? >> doctor: it's real. women who have pcos, have rates of infertility, up to 70-80% depending on the study you look at. women with pcos, can and do get pregnant, it's absolutely, if hoos your goal you -- if that's your goal you may need a specialist, endocrinologist to help you get pregnant.

>> lara: i imagine there's a lot of hardship that goes along with that. how about the other side effects? dock >> doctor: co >> doctor: pcos, has can -- can have involvement of heart disease,endometrial cancer later in life and, not to be underestimated, depression, because the mental health toll can be high with pcos, the goal is early diagnosis, it's possible when we listen to women. >> rebecca: uh-huh. >> lara: we saw the list of symptoms. what do we tell viewers who saw the list and think, maybe that's what i am dealing with. what should they do right now? >> doctor: tell your primary care provider. i am in primary care, i love it when patients and families come to me and say, "i think i may have x", this is helpful, because then we can work together to get a good history and a good physical exam, and

do the initial bloodwork. if we need to involve specialists we do, but the goal is to listen to women and arrive at an early diagnosis and minimize the long-term conditions. >> lara: it's helpful to hear that you need to advocate for yourself in a medical setting. >> rebecca: that's an important thing, it doesn't work against you. >> doctor: never, never does it work against you if it does, then you find another doctor. you need to find someone else that will listen to you and wants to partner with you. because there's so much we can do with pcos, to manage the symptoms and help you achieve your goals so find a doctor that's listening. >> rebecca: thank you for listening and answers the great questions, thank you doctor. now to you, ginger. >> ginger: thank you, rebecca. 98 degrees doesn't look bad, until you realize that's nosan -- that's not an afternoon high temperature, that's the cold temperature overnight, almost a hundred degrees in
