shooter, thomas matthew crooks. his legs and the rifle visible in the video. >> rifles right there. obviously got it. >> crooks father is now speaking out for the first time since the shooting, released a statement when our legal counsel advises us to do so until then, we have no comment. >> i just want to try to take care of ourselves right now. so please give us our space. >> it comes as the pennsylvania police commissioner revealed new details about the shooting in testimony on capitol hill. colonel christopher paris says two local officers left a building that overlooks the roof where crooks took his shots to look for a suspicious individual that individual turned out to be crooks. paris also revealed that crooks was on the building for about three minutes before opening fire, and he believes crooks shot eight times into the rally. >> i believe that the number is eight. eight casings have been recovered. >> also yesterday, embattled secret service director kim cheatle announced her

eastern. >> also in washington today, israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu is addressing congress. it comes amid tense relations with the biden administration, despite the military and diplomatic support for israel's war in gaza. thousands of people are expected to protest today in dc after cease fire. supporters demonstrated inside a house office building yesterday. people police arrested about 200 people. netanyahu is scheduled to meet with biden tomorrow and former president trump is in florida on friday and breaking overseas. a plane crashed while trying to take off from the airport in kathmandu, nepal, 19 people were on board. only the pilot survived and police say 18 victims were recovered. it's unclear why the plane never fully got off the ground. the runway was dry. despite this being the area's rainy season. >> back here in the u.s, tourists ran for cover after a geyser blast at yellowstone national park. the explosion sent hot water and rocks into the air and even destroyed a nearby boardwalk. run, run, run.

this morning, tourists who witnessed this massive geyser explosion at yellowstone national park are speaking out about the terrifying moment. >> we started to realize the gravity. holy moly, there's boulders! rocks falling all over us. >> it happened around 10 a.m. yesterday morning. a geyser in the area known as biscuit basin exploding, sending a plume of steam rocks and debris into the sky as panicked tourists fled. >> we kind of went into fight or flight mode. we grabbed our kids, started running, just instinctively trying to get as far as we can from from the explosion. my mother in law was very close to the epicenter, and she ran the other way towards the entrance, and luckily she made it, but she was all covered in ash and silt. >> officials say no one was injured, but the boardwalk used by park goers is completely destroyed. the light gray area in this aerial image showing just how far debris was thrown hypothermal explosions are

camera captured the moment of a deadly explosion at a tequila factory in mexico. >> at least five people are dead after the blast at the jose cuervo facility. two others were injured. one seriously. the cause is still under investigation. we are now seeing video of the incident that ended with pro football hall of famer terrell davis in handcuffs. his lawyers say it shows a shocked and terrified davis being taken off a flight in handcuffs. the former broncos star was removed from a plane in denver earlier this month after a flight attendant claimed davis hit him. davis's attorneys say they plan to sue. >> now to delta's summer meltdown. the airline has struggled to recover from last week's global tech outage. some passengers have spent days in airport terminals unable to book flights or hotels. now, federal investigators are looking into the ongoing disruptions this morning. delta airlines is under federal investigation as passengers face a six day of flight disruptions. it's a little nerve racking because i

two teens jumped into action when the fishermen were thrown into the water. this morning, boaters in new hampshire have a whale of a tale to tell after a humpback capsized their boat. >> everything seemed like in slow motion. it was. it was really weird. >> the stunning encounter caught on camera. a humpback whale exploding out of the water all 40 tons of it slamming down on the boat's stern, catapulting the two men into the water. >> when i turned, the whale's head was already landing on the engine. >> two teens who watched the surreal scene unfold quickly scooped the fisherman out of the water, unharmed. >> i saw it come up and i was just like, oh, it's going to hit the boat. >> this isn't the first time unsuspecting sea goers have been hassled by a humpback. oh oh, in 2022, a nearly identical scene happened off the coast of massachusetts. the whale breaching the water and smashing into the tail of this boat.
