raging. we're not capturing on on the satellite tonight, an image of the smoke, but the smoke had generally been blowing off to the northeast yesterday. the winds aloft brought some of that smoke down into the bay area. it never came to the surface. it remained aloft. and as you look at the smoke aloft animation going into tomorrow, you can see the upper level winds will be carrying that smoke away from the bay area once again. it never really had any appreciable effect on our air quality, which right now, as you can see, is good, as evidenced by all those green circles around the bay area is likely to remain good going through the next day or two. so here's what you can expect tomorrow as we plan our monday. early in the morning, we'll have lingering fog near the coast and bay temperatures in the upper 50s to about 60 uh- midday hours will bring us more sunshine and a little bit of a warm up to levels greater than what we had for much of the weekend, mid 70s to mid 80s inland. but as we get into the evening hours, we'll see the fog expanding and deepening and pushing across the bay once again, exerting asserting a cooling influence

the swarm. i would have been among those scrambling away. spencer christian joins us now. i will say, if you've got dragonflies and you don't have mosquitoes, so that's true. you'd be mosquito free with the large track and i'll take the dragonflies over the mosquitoes any day. >> yes. let's take a look at what's happening with our weather. overnight is going to be pretty interesting. we'll have a rebuilding marine layer and lots of patches of drizzle. check this out for four. a m and 5 a.m. and 6 a.m, and up until about 10 a.m. we're going to have lots of drizzle. not only along the coastline, but also out over the bay at locally some land areas. overnight, low temperatures will be mainly in the mid to upper 50s. highs tomorrow mid afternoon. sunny inland but still a little gray near the coast of bay. highs will range from low 60s at the coast to low 70s around the bay to low and mid 80s inland. and here's the accuweather seven day forecast. gradual warming i talked about continues into the middle of the week. but then thursday, friday we'll see some mid 90s inland, mid 70s around the bay. and over the weekend next weekend mid to upper 90s

inland, up to about 80 around the bay and even mild at the coast. not exactly a heat wave, but just a gradual warm up. and if you don't like it toasty inland, you go to the coast, you know, on saturday i felt some of that moisture in the air and it just a great feeling. it is. yeah, especially after the hot, dry weather we had last week. the triple digits, it just it was so uncomfortable. but we'll take the moisture and the breeze any time, especially with these fire situations. absolutely yeah. it definitely diminishes the fire risks. yeah. right. >> thank you spencer. here's chris now with the preview of sports. >> hi jr. coming up in sports the mlb trade deadline tuesday. will the giants buy or sell. only time will tell. while the time is now for the 49 ers. what brock purdy had to say about the team's hunger to win a

sunday of the nfl regular season. the niners reported training camp this week. two major storylines here brandon aiyuk is holding in, while trent williams holds out, both looking for new deals. the pads come on tomorrow for day five of training camp. brock purdy is actually going to be eligible for a new deal next season, and based on recent quarterback contracts, purdy could be in the range of 50 to $60 million a year, which makes this season on brock's rookie deal even more crucial as the niners look for that elusive sixth lombardi trophy. >> we've tasted it, obviously the super bowl. it's a couple plays away from literally being super bowl champions. we have guys in this locker room that taste it and they want it. and then obviously now with camp, with having all the guys back, you know just the way fred's acting, george juice like these guys that have been in the league for a while. man they're back ready like hungry. and i'm going to my year three so i'm hungry. but i did the same thing i walked in i'm like, how are
11:54 pm
these guys going to, you know like seem or feel and you can feel it, man. they're hungry for it. and we're ready to do it for this organization. and the fan base christian mccaffrey got married this offseason to longtime girlfriend fiance model and former miss universe, olivia culpo. >> george kittle was in attendance and would love to run it back. >> it was kind of wild to because they're kind of like, she's really famous. and so like having the amount of police officers that were around as security and stuff and like people from rhode island, just like standing there on the corners with photographers and paparazzi stuff. that was a wild experience for me. but like, overall beautiful wedding, everyone there was incredible. so much fun, i hopefully they have like a another one just for fun and invite invite me again. >> i think my invitation got lost in the mail. all right. the mlb trade deadline tuesday afternoon at 3:00. the giants currently two games under 503 and a half games back of the final wild card spot. blake snell is their best asset to trade, especially coming off his career high 15 strikeout performance last night. they just swept the rockies and they're the healthiest they've been in months. so what will
11:55 pm
they do? we're going to find out soon enough. >> you know i haven't heard it. we don't talk about that. we just you know, we just talk about preparing for a game. i don't know what transpires between the guys. you know, as far as names coming up or whatever in trades. but if we can keep winning games, maybe that goes away a little bit. >> wrexham and chelsea play to a22 draw on wednesday night at levi's stadium. wrexham is owned by actors ryan reynolds and rob mcelhenney. reynolds was unable to attend. he's promoting a largely big time blockbuster film, and i went one on one with rob to discuss hollywood blockbusters and their soccer team. just the origins of the story. when you and ryan decided to take this on, why and have the dreams really match the reality of what you guys have become with wrexham? >> oh, they far exceeded, our, our our wildest dreams, just to be embraced by the community in the way that we were and, was just a massive step forward and we were we were really hoping
11:56 pm
that things would pan out the way that they have. but you just never know with football, how is this show really? >> and all this experience changed the community because i talked to some fans and they're like, we're a part of it, and it really seems that way from everything that i see and can watch, i like to believe that it hasn't changed, changed the community at all. >> i like to believe that that the community has changed us. truly they have. and as you can see, it's now spreading. so the whole the entire wrexham supporter base is, is spreading all over the world. and i'd like to believe that that most of the people in wrexham are really happy with that. >> all right. so i've never been to a wrexham match but i'm is this standard operating procedure this, this this photo. no. >> this thing. look how happy this lady is. i know it follows me everywhere i go. the second it turns out that if you have a partner who's got 50 million instagram followers that. well, i don't want to, but he was. he was so liberal with the with the chest hair, i don't know, it doesn't even look like me. it
11:57 pm
looks more like him. >> your partner's not here because he's on jimmy kimmel. we're doing all kinds of synergy with abc seven. so what do you have to say about that? ryan's not here, but he's doing something pretty cool down there. >> yeah, i heard he's promoting some independent movie. that he's been working on. it's like a avant garde sort of small little arthouse picture. so i think that comes out sometime this weekend. dede dede poole in the wolf german some. yeah. wolf in wolf. it's like a like a dutch film. >> i can confirm that is a good movie. i saw it this week. abc seven sports, sponsored by river rock casino jr. >> chris, thank you so much. a reminder that you can watch all our newscasts live and on demand through the abc seven bay area connected tv app. it's available for apple tv, google tv, amazon fire tv, and roku. download the app now and start streaming. well, that's it for tonight. i am j.r stone. abc seven news continues tomorrow morning at five for spencer and chris. thanks for joining us. have a thanks for joining us. have a great week
