videos ever taken of papaya, a nearly four year old toy poodle mauled to death by another dog in san francisco on tuesday. >> she was like everybody's friend. she loved everybody. like she woke up to her stupid little barbie theme song. and it was like papaya's world. and like to have her life end in such a tragic way. i think it's like like everyone knows their dog is going to die. everyone knows they're going to think that's going to be a moment for them. but it's like, not this way and not like not for this kind of dog. >> olga torres was papaya's owner mother, you name it, she says. the dog walker she hired picked up papaya at 11:13 a.m. tuesday, two hours later, she had received word that papaya was in critical condition at the vet's office, where they unsuccessfully tried to save her. olga says the dog walker told her they were at alemany boulevard dog park in san francisco when another dog attacked papaya. the dog walker told olga she didn't get

11:06 pm
happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black harris in houston, texas tonight. >> speaking at an event for sigma gamma rho, a historically black sorority. >> in this moment, we face a choice between two very different visions for our nation. one focused on the future, the other focused on the past. and we, in this room are fighting for the future. >> in front of the audience of black journalists. trump blaming harris for the surge of migrants crossing the southern border. >> i will tell you that coming coming from the border are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking black jobs. you had the best. >> what exactly is a black job, sir? >> a black job is anybody that has a job. that's what it is. anybody that has a job. all right. >> harris responded, it was the same old show. >> the divisiveness and the disrespect. and let me just say

line after all. earlier this week, the event organizers quietly announced they miscalculated the length of one of the half marathon courses. it made the course a half mile shorter than what it should have been. abc seven news reporter tim johns spoke with frustrated runners tonight. >> for thousands of bay area runners, this year's san francisco marathon has been a massive disappointment. on tuesday, participants received this email stating that a mistake had caused organizers to
11:16 pm
miscalculate one of the half marathon courses instead of being 13.1 miles. the course through the city was actually only 12.6 miles. radhika bala was one of the marathons participants. she says she figured out something was off while she was running and looking at the mile markers. >> it was confusing in the beginning. there's a little bit of like maybe, you know, over time someone made a mistake. the next mile might be longer. we'll make up for it. >> paula says while she just took up running this year, she's come to love the sport. she tells me sunday's mix up makes her feel like she's been cheated. >> i got cheated from that experience because i did spend a couple of miles just mentally being like, what's going on? who do i listen to? what pace do i follow? do i look at my watch? >> similar feelings were shared by jack lang. lang says the weekend's experience has left him with an especially bad impression, not least of all because, he says this isn't the first san francisco marathon he's done that's had problems. >> i have two bad experiences. i'm like, like, what? what what new uh- mess up? are they going to come up with when i do it for
11:17 pm
a third time? >> i reached out to marathon officials to get their response on what went wrong. in a statement, they tell us, quote, we know how disappointed the second half marathon runners are, and we are as well. unfortunately, the course route was measured correctly, but the certification map was drawn incorrectly. mile markers are added based on the map, thus causing the distance calculation error. organizers have updated the race times for participants since discovering the mistake, but for many runners, they say more still needs to be done and they're asking for some form of compensation. >> some people flew in from across the country. this is one of the most expensive races out there. it's like $230 or something like that to just register for it. so i think the consternation is definitely justified. >> in total, around 3700 people participated in the miscalculated half marathon in san francisco. tim johns, abc seven news. >> a shocking truth uncovered from the weekend's san diego comic con, a sex trafficking sting led to more than a dozen
