image, you see that flow of monsoonal moisture that started moving through california yesterday and continued into this morning as that moisture build up in the atmosphere, there was concern that the afternoon heating of the sun would destabilize the atmosphere and trigger lightning strikes, which of course could trigger fires. but most of that moisture has moved far north and east of us. right now. it's moving over, actually towards the border with western nevada. so there still this evening, a chance of dry lightning strikes in that region, which includes lake tahoe. but here in northern california, it looks like that chance has diminished nonetheless. it's still hot, as you can see right now, we have temperature readings at or above 100 degrees in many central valley locations. it is dry, of course, breezy in some spots, so there's still fire concern, but it's reduced now or diminished because of the threat of lightning moving away. i'll have our accuweather seven day forecast in just a few minutes. j.r. >> spencer, thanks so much. we look forward to that. the park fire is growing, but nowhere near as fast as we saw a week ago. it's now california's fourth largest fire. the fire has burned 401,000 acres in

learning one approach to fighting illegal dumping in oakland may not be paying off. we were there two years ago as the city announced new cameras meant to catch people dumping trash on oakland's streets. a new report from the city's interim public works director found that the cameras aren't working, as well as good old fashioned foot patrols. from last april through this march, the cameras caught 457 instances of illegal dumping. only 13% led to citations. the report says many of the incidents couldn't be pursued because the car's license plate wasn't clear. public works enforcement officers had better luck issuing more than 500 citations in that same time period. more homes for sale are sitting on the market longer in five bay area counties. that's according to

data from redfin obtained by our media partners at the bay area news group. 53% of homes for sale in alameda, contra costa, san francisco, san mateo and santa clara counties sat on the market for 30 days or more. why? redfin says it's because many home sellers are pricing properties too high, and interest rates have remained high to home. buyers are waiting to buy, hoping for a drop in prices. it's a beloved bay area tradition, a bay area event putting pups to the test. the world dog surfing championships brought the best of the best to pacifica today. dog surfers and their human friends were hanging ten at linda mar beach for the annual competition. there they are in the on the beach part of things too. the waves weren't too rough, but the money situation was now. organizers say the competition almost didn't happen because of the rising cost of doing business in the bay area. fortunately, a fundraiser this past spring saved the contest. it's a san

monday we can expect warm summer weather, but not quite so warm as today. however, tuesday and wednesday it will be at least as warm as today was, as we're expecting triple digit heat in our inland areas. the forecast animation taking us into to the evening hours shows a deepening and expanding marine layer. it will push across the bay and locally inland. there'll be lots of patchy drizzle near the coastline and some onshore as well. that's also been part of our pattern the last few overnights and early mornings. but by mid-morning tomorrow, certainly by midday, we'll see mainly sunny skies away from the coast. so overnight low temperatures mainly in the upper 50s to low 60s, so relatively mild in many locations overnight, especially down in the south bay and over in the inland east bay. highs tomorrow. low 60s at the coast. we'll see mid to upper 70s around the bay shoreline and low to mid 90s inland. and here's the accuweather seven day forecast. not much change on monday perhaps even a couple of degrees cooler. but on tuesday and wednesday the heat is on or it will be on in our inland areas up to about 100 degrees in the hottest inland spots on both tuesday and wednesday. but on

never really had an interception problem. he's protected the ball pretty well in this league for his two years, and he also isn't scared to let it rip to if we were really trying to fix that. and if he had had a problem and you come out and that's all we're focusing on and he still has some stats like that, then that's something that concerns you. but that's something i really haven't been worried about. with brock on. and that's why those stats are also something that hasn't bothered me at all. >> yeah, we're talking about practice. all right. the u.s. olympic men's basketball team routed puerto rico 103 84. they finished group play undefeated. they earned the top seed going into the medal round. steph curry scored eight points in the win. anthony edwards led the way with 26. six americans were in double figures scoring, including kevin now just five points away from setting the american olympic basketball all time scoring record. they're going to play brazil in the quarters on tuesday. back to last night in cincinnati, blake snell threw the 18th no hitter in giants franchise history, a three nothing victory over the reds. not only was it his first no hitter, but his first complete game in his nine year big league career, he'd actually never thrown a pitch in the
