11:49 pm
well, we didn't have a bath this morning, but we had little pockets of rain overnight. we'll see pockets of drizzle, mainly offshore. some of it may move onshore, but it won't be a big deal. the clouds will dissipate by mid-morning, giving way to mainly sunny skies. overnight lows will be mainly in the mid to upper 50s. highs tomorrow. low 60s at the coast. low to mid 70s around the bay. mainly mid 80s in the warmest inland areas. so nice and mild but below average for this time of the year. now monday and tuesday as you look at the accuweather seven day forecast, we'll have a little bit of a warm up for a couple of days. high temperatures climbing back into the typical range for this time of the year. mid 90s inland by tuesday upper 70s around the bay which is pretty warm. but then temperatures will taper off on wednesday and as we go into the end of next week, temperatures will once again be below average, but under mostly sunny skies and very pleasant conditions. just a little bit cooler than your typical late august weather. >> it's good news for the kids because some of those old schools can get hot. >> they certainly can, and they won't need the air conditioning. late next week because it will be pretty cool. >> wonderful. thank you so much,

the coliseum for another month for melvin. these are his last two games there, and it's bittersweet. >> you know, at the end of the season, it's going to be gone for good. and in our case it's after tomorrow's game. so i've been here a lot. i love this place. so i'm going to miss it. it's going to be sad. you know we'll see how we get through tomorrow. but today is just about winning a game and, you know, probably a little bit more i don't want to say emphasis. you're trying to win every game. but this is the last bay bridge series, so it would be nice to play well. >> prior to the game, the a's inducted their 2024 hall of fame class, including legendary broadcaster bill king, shortstop miguel tejada, catcher terry steinbach and slugger jose canseco. former a's manager tony la russa introduced canseco and helped him into his new green jacket. look at those guns he's got cannons. still to this day, and canseco couldn't hold back his emotions. being back at the coliseum, i'm an emotional wreck right now.
11:55 pm
>> can't believe this is being given this chance. the opportunity and the honor to have this jacket put on me. i wish i could give the fans right now a forearm bash to everybody again. i am an emotional wreck right now. thank you very much for this honor. >> congrats to you, forearm bash to you tonight. 49 ers play their second preseason game on sunday at levi's stadium against the saints. niners gm john lynch said on friday even he doesn't understand why the brandon aiyuk contract talks are taking so long. and he's the one doing the negotiating. there's a report out there indicating the niners and aiyuk have their deal almost done. there's just one item to be resolved, including year four of the contract. lynch said they started negotiating with aiyuk before the draft in april and still don't have a signed contract, but if you listen to the niners talking about aiyuk, they expect him to be wearing

red and gold. >> it is what it is. my answer is the same with how it was before. i love ba and i want nothing but the best for him. and i'm not in the, in the business side of things. so i'm sort of sitting here waiting as well. but, you know, hopefully, hopefully something gets settled soon, >> can we win a super bowl without ba, i think ba is going to be a part of this team. so, i mean, we don't have to worry about that. >> and everything is connected to each other, to wherever you go. one spot, you got to go less than another. so it's not as simple as that perspective. i totally get that from a fan standpoint and everything, if it was that simple, i think it'd be a lot easier to figure things out. but too many things do connect and tie together with that, and that's why these things can be difficult. >> trey, lance and the cowboys visiting the las vegas raiders. late first half we go. lance throws his first td for the cowboys. the fade to rookie ryan flournoy. cowboys up 13 six at the half. that's a beautiful pass right there. lance missed a similar throw last week. not this time. and in the fourth lance puts it away with the qb

draw for the score. raiders go on to lose this 127 to 12. it might just be preseason, but patrick mahomes is already in midseason form, throwing a behind the back pass to travis kelce and today's chiefs. lions game right there right there. mahomes says he was mad at kelce for not hearing the play call in the huddle, so he was kind of trying to make him look bad. we've seen a lot of football. >> travis didn't run the route he was supposed to run, and then it was kind of a behind the back pass, kind of because i was mad. i was off at travis out of spite. i threw it behind the back pass, but now it's going to be a highlight. >> you know, he's got the voice thing, so he kind of mumbled out the play. i couldn't hear it. he was already in mid form, like a photo on a on a sports card throwing the ball to me. so it was just, i guess, right place at the right time. >> see, preseason does have some highlights. >> how about it? this abc seven sports reporter, sponsored by river rock casino. well, that's it for tonight i am j.r. stone.
