abc news ipsos poll shows, harris with a five point lead nationally. >> i'm leading in most of the swing states, if not all. >> meanwhile, for the first time, the u.s. says iran is behind hacks targeting the trump and harris campaigns as that nation tries to interfere in american politics, something iran denies. trump is scheduled to address crime in michigan today and will also visit north carolina and arizona this week. andrew. allison. >> all right. derek thanks. breaking overnight in gaza. the israeli military says it has recovered the bodies of six hostages in an overnight operation in gaza. it comes as secretary of state antony blinken is arriving in egypt this morning following a crucial visit to israel. blinken says prime minister benjamin netanyahu has accepted a cease fire proposal by negotiators, and he's calling on hamas to do the same. but a top hamas official slammed the proposal, saying the u.s. failed to convince netanyahu to sign on to a previous plan that hamas had

already agreed. also new this morning another setback for boeing. the company is grounding its test fleet of 777x planes. a post flight inspection revealed a failure in a part that holds the engines in place. delivery on the jets is already five years late. meanwhile, the faa is calling on inspections on some 787 dreamliners in march. at least 50 people were hurt when a jet suddenly lost altitude. investigators blamed an uncommanded movement of the captain's seat. now the faa says the cockpit seats on some 787 planes should be checked for missing or cracked pieces within 30 days. >> now to europe and the desperate search off italy after a superyacht sank in a violent storm. six people are still missing, including americans and a billionaire. known as the british bill gates. this morning, an urgent search by italian authorities is underway off the coast of sicily after the sinking of a luxury

superyacht. six people are missing, including two americans and british tech tycoon mike lynch, who was cleared of fraud charges after a june trial in california. lynch's wife and 14 others survived. the chaos began when a sudden storm battered the area early monday. a waterspout struck near the 184 foot vessel and within minutes it sunk. >> we saw this fisherman sprang into action, saying, we saw the flare from the port and we immediately left. >> their crew spent three hours searching for survivors, but only found floating debris. the vessel, now 160ft underwater. harrowing stories are emerging. survivors. charlotte galonski saved her one year old daughter, sophie, after the rough waves briefly ripped the child away. she said i held her afloat with all my strength. my arms stretched upwards to keep her from drowning. that mom also said she screamed for help but only heard the screams of others. the baby's father also survived. we'll stay on top of this search for those still missing. >> connecticut officials are

assessing the damage after powerful storms hit the state. two women were killed in oxford after being swept away by flash floods. governor ned lamont declared a state of emergency in response to the historic rains. more than 100 people in western connecticut were evacuated. in utah, one person is dead and two others are recovering after lightning struck their boat. authorities north of salt lake city say the victims were fishing in a river early sunday. the lightning strike caused their boat to capsize, throwing all three into the water. and the heat causing this ups driver to pass out behind the wheel. his truck slammed into a tree while on the wrong side of a highway near dallas. his truck did not have air conditioning. ups says it's modifying its older vehicles. >> time now for a look at your morning weather. good morning. we face some dangerous and even deadly flooding in parts of connecticut, and also parts of

fight and recovery from cancer on good morning america. >> we're back with a duck boat crew credited with preventing a tragedy along boston's charles river. the men pulled a dad and his toddler son from the water. police believe the child squeezed between the railings on a walkway over the river when he fell in. his father went after him, and a witness described what happened next. >> the duck boat happened to be within 50ft. 100ft, and they just went right over. >> i was just like thinking, just hold on to this kid and just totally concentrating and just get him up onto the ducks safe. >> the duck boat was in the area conducting water rescue training. >> now to a jury in texas finding the parents of a school shooter not liable in connection with their son's alleged crime. attorneys for the victim's family say they disagree with the decision. this morning, a jury has cleared the parents of a former student accused in a deadly school shooting, finding

them not liable or negligent in a civil trial. >> antonio pagourtzis 0% in 2018. >> police say dimitrios pagourtzis opened fire in his high school in santa fe, texas, killing eight students and two teachers using his mother's handgun. pagourtzis was 17 at the time. attorneys for the victims families argued his parents failed to provide necessary support for his mental health. >> they knew something was wrong with dimitri, but they didn't know how to fix it, and they did nothing. >> but an attorney argued the couple hadn't seen any red flags and didn't know any of their weapons were missing. >> their son got a mental illness. their son is robbed of who he was. the parents didn't pull the trigger. the parents didn't give him a gun. jurors instead put the responsibility with pagourtzis and an online ammunition retailer awarding the victim's families more than $300
