can you imagine? limited details provided by police, but they say the boy is in stable condition, thankfully. but we spoke overnight with a couple who says they were in the tank with the child when he was attacked, detailing how a fun time quickly took a terrifying turn. it is one of the top destinations for visitors to the bahamas, but this morning a 10-year-old maryland boy is recovering after what witnesses say was a terrifying experience at the atlantis resort on paradise island. police not saying where the attack happened, but did confirm the shark bit the boy on his right leg while he was participating in an expedition in the shark tank. >> we saw the shark hone in on him and then -- and then just like a pool of blood afterwards. >> reporter: michael and dorey say they were in the tank when it happened, taking part in an underwater encounter called walking with the sharks run by an outside company and seeing this atlantis promotional video. it is described as easy and fun,

you are not going to lose weight from a diuretic either there is a potential of low electrolytes they're definitely not meant to be used in this manner. >> i do want to ask you about this report that just came out from the american cancer society. good news. mortality rates related to cancer down once again alarming rates. number bad news, colon cancer continues to kill young people especially at alarming rates. number one cause of death for men under 50 number two cause of death for women under 50, only behind breast cancer. are we closer to understanding why? >> the why is still a big question mark. there are many their -- theorys. one includes changes in the gut microbiome maybe it's overuse of antibiotics, the highly processed food, the lack of fiber in our diet. but it is alarming news. you know, i do colonoscopies that's part of my bread and butter, and we really want to take a stand against colon cancer, but we're seeing a rise. we have four times the rate of developing colon cancer if you were born in the '90s, as opposed to being born in the

reinforcing temperatures in the single digits to the low teens. in fact, the windchills right through into the weekend, minus 17 in chicago. minus 29 omaha. minus 8 in nashville. that heads to the east. temperatures by new york on saturday 25 degrees. 19 in detroit. 20 in cincinnati. but those windchills at or below zero, so it will be rough. we have this next storm coming in. 18 million people in the pacific northwest and the western plains as this storm drops down bringing snow and ice for the cascades. heavy snow for the northern rockies. a low pressure system bringing snow from the great lakes into the northeast and reinforcing that lake-effect snow. icy conditions throughout the northwest with snow anywhere from 6 to 8 to 12 feet in the rockies. 12 feet of snow -- i should say eight feet of snow. we're looking at water town to buffalo. 6 to 8 inches. more in the same in cleveland, chicago as well. this lake effect will continue

what i wanted. it didn't feel like me and, so, i needed to do everything at once and that's what i knew going into miss america, that if i was going to win or walk away with my friends and memories and not winning, then i needed to do it on my terms as madison marsh with all of the different hats that i get to wear. >> you talked about your mom for a minute you said she would have been so proud and your first hug she raised you so well, listening to what you are saying this is what we want our daughters to say tell us a little bit about her. >> my mom -- i mean, even though it is so hard obviously to lose her, i can only imagine how lucky i am to have even gotten to know her to begin with. she was someone that had always taught service as being a forefront. she was a casa worker and volunteer and always working with kids in foster homes. i got to live a good life because of the home her and my
