quarterbacks start conference championship games in each of the two seasons. mark sanchez. ben roth listberger won a super bowl in one of them. and brock purdy, elite company for mr. no longer irrelevant after the game yesterday. the here with brock purdy. >> man, it's been a fast year. you know, obviously, it didn't end how we wanted it to last year. but we figured one week at a time. so to be able to pull through and finish that for us to get back to the nfc championship, you know, obviously, i think guys are healthy for the most part after this game. and, you know, we won it. we've been thinking about it. it's been sort of in the back of our minds. last year we had the team to do it. and, you know, we feel like we didn't have a real opportunity at it after the quarterbacks got hurt in that game. so, yeah, i think we're really excited for it. we're going to take it one day at a time. find out who we play tomorrow
4:03 pm
and be ready to roll for it. >> so funny. if you are a social media guy, we all sometimes look at when it you're covering the 49ers. there is not a lot of lukewarm stuff on the quarterback brock purdy. people think he is the best or worst. i don't understand how you can think he is the worst. he did have three losses. we mentioned he didn't have debo for them. >> look the aall great quarterbacks in the history. they've had bad games. i've seen tom brady throw three and four interceptions in a game. i've seen him come off and have off games where he has low passes. he's not in proper alignment with his wide receivers. so when brock purdy goes out for the longevity of the nfl season and you lead the nfl in every statistical category, it's almost like we just need to laugh at these people. they're not watching the game. they're not. they're really saying these things for clicks and for click bait. that's why. so, brock purdy continues to do
4:04 pm
what he's doing throughout the playoffs. he gets the 49ers to the super bowl and win it. there is nothing else to say. i think the game manager should come off of him. that drive in the fourth quarter yesterday, he really showed that he has it. >> i agree. don't you think there is a preconceived notion. he is the last player picked. people are thinking, okay, maybe there is a reason he was the last player picked. he couldn't be that good. look, he stumbled. that's what he really s it's almost like people think about how many first round picks and number one picks become busts. >> many of them. >> there is no direct and correct science for picking a quarterback. understanding the defense and the technicalities of being a great franchise quarterback. that's what kyle shanahan did with brock purdy did and he's competing in a playoff where the other quarterbacks are number one in first round picks. >> 49ers football is always synonymous with championships. can you see why.
4:05 pm
the upcoming is 19th in franchise history. the most in the nfl. they've only won seven of the matchups. is this the year that they get eight? >> i believe this is the year they get eight. i truly believe so. with the way that green bay packers came out and the way the quarterback came out and those receivers were starting to play and get well at the same time. i don't care if they have to run 40 times this week. play great run defense. if they cannot turn the football over. punch the shot. >> quickly, does it matter who wins the bills-chiefs? do the ravens beat either one of those? >> when you have quarterbacks like josh allen and lamar jackson and patrick ma homes and they can run around and improvise and make things happen, those three you can throw them in a hat and pick it out. you never know what might happen
4:06 pm
based on what those quarterbacks can do for those teams. if it is the ravens, it's a rematch of the monday night. >> and then the 49ers have to come with a better game plan. they have to rush lamar jackson properly and make him beat you from the pocket. >> we'll see what happens. this is our final sports sunday presented by xfinity. great season, buddy. bring it home next week. the news is coming up next. thanks for

the last three years does feel like a lot. so let's zoom out for perspective. for 100 years after the civil war, you could mail a letter for less than a nickel. but when we adjust the prices for inflation, you'll see they're pretty consistent with where we are today. it's just that the postal service is no longer trying to keep up with the cost of horses and buggies. it doesn't need the rates now to invest in long-term efficiencies, especially first class mail volume plummets and package delivery soared. >> i believe this plan will be critical in ensuring the postal service has a resources, personnel, and infrastructure needed to continue to perform the vital services to the american people. >> the postal service wants customers to know it generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses. americans believe the agency was underfunded by the government which suggests there is sympathy for the institutions net loss last year. it suggests more wiggle room for future adjustments to what the
