president is facing federal charges over hush money allegations. here's laura jarret. >> reporter: the case that first made donald trump a criminal defendant now the first to go to trial. a judge in manhattan rejecting from mr. trump's bid to toss the case out, saying the trial will begin on march 25th. sitting in court by choice, the republican frontrunner will soon be required to show up the judge saying he expects the trial to last six weeks. a distraction mr. trump argues is aimed at trying to derail his presidential campaign. >> it's a very unfair situation. they want to keep me nice and busy so i can't campaign so hard >> reporter: the judge unpersuaded. but mr. trump's defense team arguing they cannot adequately prepare for the trial in new york with all his other criminal case still on the horizon, including a florida trial over classified documents in may and his election interference case in washington still unscheduled.

but there is contradicting testimony about whether it started before or after the trump case began and there are allegations that she benefitted financially in the form of romantic get aways in an often fiery back and forth, willis testified that they split the cost or she reimbursed wade. >> i don't need anything from a man. a man is not a plan. a man is a companion i don't need anybody to foot my bills. the only man who's ever foot my bills completely is my daddy you think i'm on trial, these people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020 i'm not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial. >> reporter: and while that hearing is set to continue today, it could be judgment day in new york for donald trump's civil fraud trial. that's the case where new york's attorney general accused the former president of inflating his financial statements for years of the judge has already found that mr. trump and his companies engaged in fraud so we're waiting to learn the penalties. now this is what the new york

prison this morning, the israeli military is under severe criticism for storming a palestinian hospital yet again the special forces incursion happened at a hospital in khan yunis. in scenes of terror, many patients and staff were forced to evacuate. the israelis claim they were looking for the remains of dead israeli hostages, acting on very specific intelligence. let's go live to claudio havhav lavanga. what is the latest on this >> reporter: good morning, jessica. well, the health ministry in gaza says at least four patients in that hospital have now died because of lack of oxygen after the generators were stopped and the power was completely cut off during that raid they also said they fear that other patients, including children in the hospital's nursery could suffer the same fate and they appealed to the international community to intervene before they said it's too late

now these claims are from the health ministry in gaza which is of course controlled by hamas, but they seem to be corroborated by other independent sources like doctors without borders they said that the israelis shelled the hospital, even though earlier they told patients and medical staff that they could remain inside well, they were forced to evacuate their medical staff, leaving patients behind, they said in a statement, and described chaotic scenes where there were also an undetermined number of people who died and were injured as you mentioned s, the israeli defense forces decided to storm the hospital on the base of intelligence that said that hostages that israeli hostages were previously being held at the nasser hospital and also that the bodies of dead israeli hostages could still be in there. but so far they have provided no evidence of either claim back to you, jessica
