speaker nancy pelosi who is here to greet him. there are campaign events expected today and tomorrow and we should expect more campaigning between now and november. late afternoon air force 1 touched down. nancy pelosi and mayor london breed were there to greet him. there it was off to san francisco. this is part of a three day campaign swing through california. >> we know california is the great atm and very little of that money will be used in this state because the state is bluer than blue. >> reporter: we spoke with larry gersten about the trip.>> what to buy the team will do is take upwards of $10 million which they expect to bring in and send it to places like arizona and nevada and michigan

wisconsin, pennsylvania and maybe georgia. >> reporter: joe biden is expected to attend two events in the city this evening, and another fundraiser in los altos hills tomorrow. his campaign said they raised about $42 million in january and what could potentially become a costly rematch. >> they have well over 100 million, over twice as much as the trump campaign has and we can expect both sides to redouble efforts. this will be a $3 billion contest by the time all is said and done. >> reporter: joe biden talked about why his administration is forgiving $1.2 billion in student debt for certain borrowers.>> a college degree is still a ticket to a better life but the ticket is too expensive, and too many americans are saddled with unsustainable debt. >> reporter: he is not expected

to hold any public events during his time here. let's talk about the weather. a bit drier and calmer than what we've been seeing. let's look outside of the weather cameras. you can see some clouds and blue skies. we also have a little bit of scattered rain but not like what we've seen recently. >> we are on the down side of things and sunshine is in the forecast as soon as tomorrow. right now a little bit of this spotty activity. we will track the top two areas. light rain in napa. we are also seeing moderate rain on the western side of antioch. so expect showers over the next 15 to 20 minutes. rainfall totals, look at this.

incredible. 5.85 and 1.87 in vallejo. santa rosa has over 4 inches. the awesome thing about this is the air quality. it is in the good category and this rainfall has helped us when it comes to the pollen. while we get sunshine tomorrow, there will be another system coming this weekend. we will break it down for you and give you the full forecast in a new update coming up in the next 20 minutes. the rain maybe gone, but troubles are not. a powerline fell into the road this morning. a large tree fell onto a power pole and it knocked the powerlines into the street. this road is still closed. pg&e is working to clear this. if you download our app you can stay on top of the weather even when you are on the move.

open up your camera and pointed to the qr code on the left side of your screen. it will take you directly to our doppler radar. this is the most talked about bike lane in san francisco. tonight there is new information about the first three months of the bike lane being in existence. the numbers are underwhelming. >> reporter: for the last seven months bicyclists have been riding through the most controversial bike lane in san francisco. it is a mixed bag for those who write.>> it easier if you are a bicyclist, but i don't feel safer because i know every intersection, nobody knows what to do. >> reporter: she means drivers and pedestrians. in the first seven months there been 20 collisions, but the report did not compare that to the time frame before it was

installed. the mta director said it successfully reduced double parking and other hazards that used to plague this corridor and increased bicycle traffic by 3%. >> the initial evaluation says we solved the ones we wanted to but we created new issues. >> reporter: among the issues is a drop in pedestrian traffic, occasional traffic jams, and complaints from business owners who blame he down turning customers in recent business closures on this bike lane. like you have to think about the bike lane being in the middle and how it will affect business. people not being able to park and grab coffee in. >> reporter: even as this continues, there's talk of possible changes. there already is an alternate design on the drawing board for the center bike lane, and it's very similar to a design that

already exists on valencia street. the shoulder design from 15th to market was supposed to continue the full length of the street. during the pandemic this was one of the most popular places to eat. the decision to take another look at this is welcome news for some of the most vocal critics.>> i'm glad they're finally creating designs. >> reporter: it could take months before a decision is made. bay area county is saying no to waymo. at least for now. we broke the news last night on twitter. so no driverless taxi service in san mateo county for now.>> for now. san mateo county in los angeles county both pushed back are the plans to move in, and they won.

>> reporter: after about six months of operating a driverless taxi service, waymo wants to expand into san mateo county, but the move is officially delayed. >> the technology is already. >> reporter: the board of supervisors pushed back against their expansion plans and the cpuc said they will have to wait to drive here and in los angeles county for at least 120 days. >> we cannot stop the technology, but what we can do as the technology advances is to provide guardrails, processes , systems, to make the technology operate in a safer manner. >> reporter: in downtown redwood city, people said they will not miss the driverless cars. >> i think keeping that part of

we are very close to hitting the max for the season. we are pretty much a lock for a perfect rain season. while we have sunshine on the way, the other thing we are tracking is another storm system lining up in the pacific. i have more details coming up in the microclimate forecast. the storm ranger is showing a few spotty showers, but we are on the tail edge of this system as things continue to move out. i don't really see any strong or heavy rainfall tonight. as we head through tomorrow, we are looking at dry weather to start. the thing we will be following is fog. visibility could be down to a half-mile or less. here is the payoff. we are anticipating wall-to- wall sunshine to get back once

we had about 1:00 p.m. we still might see a few areas of clouds over parts of the santa cruz mountains and also right around livermore. but generally mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. and that would be a fantastic rebound. morning temperatures will be chilly. with the fog it will feel kind of . san francisco down to 47 and 40 north bay 42. temperatures tomorrow afternoon , they will be warming up into the mid 60s in the south bay. it will make it a really nice day outside. 65 in san jose. to the east bay fremont 64. 60 in san mateo. san francisco 57 at the marina. and in the north bay 62 in napa

and 59 in clear lake. there is a system by this weekend, but i wanted to tell you that everything we are seeing continues to keep the center of this storm system offshore as we head to the weekend. we will still have some spotty rain and isolated thunderstorms. saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. we think this will stay offshore through saturday. dry on saturday, but on sunday a few spotty showers move in. then we see the storm move in for monday as well. dry on saturday, a storm on sunday and monday. about a quarter inch to a half inch. and it should dry out next tuesday and wednesday. a little blip on the radar and we can get through that.

nvidia is posting record revenue. they posted their fourth quarter earnings and reported more than $22 billion in revenue

. the company said they expect 24 billion in sales. they've been the biggest beneficiary of the ai technology increase. many have been developed on their processors. shares are up 9%. they saw a great day and another company started great losses. they cut their full you revenue guidance. the dow added 48 points. the nasdaq lost 50. the s&p is up six. let's talk about inflation. inflation may finally be on the way down but the federal reserve set it is to send act. the fed say it's inching closer to the target of 2% but they are leaving the interest rate unchanged. they say they are in no hurry to cut interest rates.
