dangling off a bridge and the breathtaking rescue that followed yesterday in louisville. the truck broke through the guard will leaving the cabin dangling lee precariously over the ohio river with the driver inside. today the city's mayor says that car driving the opposite direction hit a stalled car then it crossed into oncoming traffic where it struck the truck sending it over the side of the bridge. one person involved is still in the hospital and the bridge will still need repairs but engineers say it is still structurally sound. >> video tonight taken just offer 80 on the way to tahoe. you can see the gas station nearly disappears in the white out conditions. a ghost town earlier, truckee. sleet and snow. parts of the bay area.

heidi was snow and they brought out a snowplow to clear the road. i was kind of expect this. we saw pretty heavy rain and a lot of/and they got to this point where you see the light snow coming down and it was fun. >> hamilton gets snow about 10 or 12 times per year. it is exciting to see. this weekend storm is one of those days were conditions were ripe. how long do you think snow will be up there? >> well, if it helps right now, it is still snowing. we really do have day three of unsettled weather. tomorrow we have the cold air aloft.

will be periods of sunshine and again the cold air aloft so as you going to the daytime hours still a chance of ongoing snow showers in the higher peaks of the north bay, so the showers may get more intense from early afternoon to early evening tomorrow and then by sunday night shower intensity starts to drop off. the sierras are still looking at another two to three inches of snow. blizzard warning may be extended beyond 10:00 tomorrow. stay tuned for updates.
