jury found the armorer for the western film "rust" guilty of involuntary manslaughter hann hannah gutierrez reed faces up to 18 months in prison for the death of halyna hutchins >> we find the defendant hannah gutierrez reed guilty. >> reporter: stoic her mom emotional as she was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and not guilty of tampering with evidence. she now faces up to 18 months in prison during the nearly two-week criminal trial, witnesses described a reckless environment on the new mexico set, with weapons and ammunition left unattended >> this was a game of russian roulette every time an actor had a gun with dummies >> reporter: and emotional testimony from dave halls, the assistant director who handed the gun to baldwin baldwin fired the gun, killing halyna hutchins. >> did you speak to ms. hutchins

a good chance they're going to get caught >> reporter: mike kemper is the transit chief. the big problem, he says is repeat offenders >> we arrest people all the time who have 50-plus arrests, 100-plus arrests >> reporter: 77% of americans are concerned about a rise in crime, even though fbi data shows violent crime has been dropping nationwide since a spike in 2020. but multiple cities are taking steps to crack down. in philadelphia, the chief of police vowing to aggressively combat crime after three deadly shootings in a week involving the city's buses >> we're going to target every criminal code on the books >> reporter: in san francisco, voters passed two measures on tuesday aimed at law and order, including expanding police surveillance tools with more cameras and drones in new york city, they will also be adding cameras. in this control center, they can see every station. soon, they will have cameras on every subway car millions of people take the new

by an anti-ship ballistic missile that is fired from yemen. this is the latest in attacks by the houthis. this is the first time that someone gets killed. now three sailors, as you mentioned, including two of them, were from the philippines, died they lost their lives while four others, again, some of them were from the philippines, were injured, and three of them are in critical conditions now the houthi rebels immediately claimed responsibility for the attack and in a statement they said this was in response to the american-british aggression on, against yemen and said that they targeted the ship after it ignored warnings by the yemeni navy now a u.s. official responded to the attack by saying that not only the houthi now disrupt global trade, but they also are killing international sailors who are just doing their jobs. now the u.s. central command said that later in the day they carried out strikes against two

another streaming platform is cracking down on password sharing. warner bros. discovery max had hit pause on shared accounts karen tso is here to break it all down for us. good morning, karen. >> frances, good morning to you. netflix was the first to crackdown on free riders on the service. another streamer, max, will join the party. max, the platform formerly known as hbo max hadwill slam the dooo password sharing outside of households it has yet to be formally communicated to users of the service. they had adopt a similar practice to the one adopted by netflix and disney the inspiration here being netflix, max is hoping that this will drive meaningful growth opportunity. it does come ahead of another wave of international expansion.
