claudio lavan ga good morning tell us what happened. >> reporter: good morning, frances. the u.s. central command confirmed that on wednesday, that ship called "true confidence" was struck at about 11:30 in the morning by an anti-ship ballistic missile fired from area in yemen controlled by the houthi rebels. this is the latest in long series of attacks against merchant ships in the red sea by the houthis, but this is the first time someone gets killed in it. three sailors, two from the philippines, lost their lives and four other sailors, including some of them from the philippines, were injured. some of them, three of them are in critical conditions now the houthi immediately claimed responsibility for the attacks saying this was in response to the american-british aggression in yemen and said they targeted that particular ship because it ignored warnings from the yemeni navy
