about this latest incident? >> reporter: audrey, it happened around 10:30 last night. it was parking at the gate, when it clipped wings with another aircraft nearby that was already parked. fortunately, no injuries de- planed successfully. and all 105 passengers, five crewmembers were all able to make it off just fine. and i spoke to a retired airline pilot, douglas price, about this. and the fact is that the gate where this plane was trying to park is really unusual. it allows for two planes to park there side by side, when usually, there's only one plane per gate. he suspects that the faa is looking into whether ground crew communications or inadequate training played a part in this. >> it is good to hear everyone is okay. they got off safely. i'm wondering what is the latest with the plane? is it okay to fly now?
4:33 pm
>> after these two planes clipped wings, that's when the faa has to look at what kind of damage. that's when they being look into a number of hours or even a number of days and it remains to be seen how damaging this latest incident was. >> all right, emma. thanks so much. we'll see your full story later on this evening. thank you for that update. appreciate it. as i mentioned, united has experienced even a dozen issues with flights this past week. the most memorable is this one right here. japan lost a wheel after takeoff at sfo. that wheel crashing onto cars in the parking lot below. and less than a week later, a flight headed to australia, had to turn around midflight, after fluid was seen spewing out from the right rear landing gear. as for the past two weeks, a flight headed to japan had

mechanical issues. there's a flight from sfo to paris, that had to be diverted to a flight for a problem with the engine. and last week, a flight had to return to frankfurt after one of its bathrooms overflowed into the cabin. okay. new season brings renewed optimism for the giants of course. while the season officially kicked off last week. this afternoon, the team held its opener against the padres. giants pulled out all the stops for the first home game of the season. oracle park looks complete with the opening logo. and plenty of new faces on the team this year. a lot of them getting big ovations. and as for the national anthem that came from -- recognize him? singer, montel jordan. and as he wrapped up, see right

4:41 pm
the pasture. now, officers were able to get warrants and go in with a vet. but unfortunately, the sick animal was just too sick to save. and it had to be euthanized. now, we went out there this morning. also, observed some very thin horses. one appeared too weak to run. some people, not sure if they were the owners or the caretakers were out there, trying to round up the animals. we tried to talk to them. but they refused to talk to us. >> it's really hard, looking at those images, jodi. i you know got a chance to speak to an animal control officer. what is he telling you? >> well, he did confirm that an animal cruelty -- cringe animal cruelty investigation is now under way. they did obtain warrants to get out there on wednesday. and then returned yesterday. they actually served the owners with a 48-hour notice, requiring them to get a vet- approved care plan within 48 hours.
