to be with their families for a number of different reasons. but tonight, some were able to do that in a special event in oakland. lots of people gathered at the pier pier restaurant for an event called you still have a son. it's a dinner party for moms who are grieving after losing a child to tragedy include including violence. bay area rapper mister fab helped organize the event that honored more than 100 moms from as far away as los angeles. there were some women in here who said they haven't celebrated a mother's day in decades. you know, some women that have lost their child 25 years ago. but it still feels like yesterday. and i can only imagine how tragic that is and how these days remind them of the love that they've lost. that is hard. mister fab says tonight's gathering touched the mothers hearts by feeding them not only with delicious food, but with community, love, smiles, music and bouquets of

let's just say, it's a good thing they drug test the olympians and not the broadcasters. [ laughter ] because tara lipinski would be in prison. [ laughter ] some political news. over the weekend, former president trump held a a beachfront rally on the jersey shore. trump said he spends a lot of time in jersey, and you could tell because he opened his speech by saying, "at the jersey shore, we don't pump our gas. we pump our fists." [ applause ] ♪ at one point -- at one point, trump called bruce springsteen a whacko. and he claims that he draws a a bigger crowd than him. i'm pretty sure if you're attacking bruce in jersey, you're the whacko. [ laughter ] who wins in that situation? apparently 100,000 people showed up for the rally in jersey. here's the breakdown of the crowd. people, 100,000. sleeves, zero. barbed wire tattoos, 200,000. barbed wire. yeah. trump spoke for nearly two hours and he covered a lot, including his thoughts on hannibal lecter. [ light laughter ] real. let's see how that went down. >> "silence of the lambs," has anyone ever seen it? "silence of the lambs." the late, great hannibal lecter. he's a wonderful man. he often times would have a a friend for dinner. remember the last scene? "excuse me, i'm about to have a a friend for dinner." as this poor doctor walked by. "i'm about to have a friend for dinner." but, hannibal lecter, congratulations, the late, great hannibal lecter. [ laughter ] [ cymbal crash ] >> jimmy: what is going on? >> steve: what? >> jimmy: what is going on? what is going on? [ laughter ] i'm no political expert, but maybe don't keep saying, "the late, great hannibal lecter." [ laughter ] well, it turns out that's not the only surprising person who trump said nice things about. listen to this. >> darth vader was a good man. a very good man, who just wanted to be good father. had a frustrating kid, that darth jr. you know, darth jr., he has a a very hairy bigfoot friend.

they call him chewbacca. chewbacca, not necessarily nice. doesn't speak our language. you've got to love voldemort. they call him, "he who must not be named." but i say let's name him. he's got a great name. voldemort. that reminds me of the late, great shark from "jaws." very good friend of mine. i told jaws, "stop eating people, it's rude." but he didn't listen to me and look at what happened. he exploded. but he was a very good shark. he always walked around with a a theme. da-dah, da-dah, da-dah. very scary, that shark. but very nice guy. [ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: very long speech. two hour speech. >> steve: two hours. >> jimmy: two hour speech. some more trump news. today, his former attorney, michael cohen, took the stand in the stormy daniels hush money trial. yep. trump hadn't been face to face with michael cohen since last year. melania heard and was like, "twinsies." [ laughter ] that's right. today, michael cohen testified at trump's trial, and you could -- the whole outcome could hinge on what he has to say. here's what happened this morning when the defense learned that cohen was appearing.

trump's attorney said, "sir, your disgruntled ex-lawyer is testifying today." trump said, "you're gonna have to be more specific." [ laughter ] then he said, "it's the one whose life was ruined after working for you." then trump said, "you're gonna have to be more specific." [ laughter ] and then, he said, "the one who got disbarred, put on trial, and thrown in jail." trump said, "be more specific." [ laughter ] then he said, "he stands outside your window every night with a boombox on his shoulder blaring 'everybody hurts.'" and finally, trump said, "oh, michael cohen! i mean, uh, never heard of him." so they're on the same page. [ applause ] well, switching gears. apparently, oscar mayer could be sold for up to $5 billion. [ audience oohs ] which means somewhere there's a a heated negotiation that includes the word "wienermobile." [ laughter ] well, this is going viral. here in new york city, an elevator security camera caught a delivery driver eating toppings off someone's papa john's pizza. [ audience oohs ] it's never good when you answer the door and the delivery guy is chewing. you know what i'm saying?

[ laughter ] people in new york city were shocked. they were like, "who the hell is ordering from papa john's?" [ laughter ] in new york city? and finally, a postal worker in ohio was pulled over for allegedly driving over 100 miles an hour. which is pretty impressive, because i've never seen one driving over eight. [ laughter ] we have a great show. give it up for the roots, ladies and gentlemen. i just saw -- we're still editing it today. it airs tomorrow. but the taylor swift video when she's on pain meds for -- i think she had lasik surgery. >> steve: oh, yeah. >> jimmy: and her mom -- her mom sent in the video to us. it's the funniest thing. and she's crying over a banana that she's eating. that's in it. it's all the stuff -- i'm trying to remember all the memories and all the things that we've -- we've done. but like, kevin hart, scaring him on the roller coaster. >> steve: oh, that was good. >> jimmy: that was for real. i mean -- i mean, kevin's a a good actor and everything, but this is good acting. yeah i mean, this is, he was actually scared. he hates roller coasters. tariq, you and i zip lining. >> tariq: oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. in puerto rico. >> jimmy: in puerto rico and almost dying. >> tariq: what was that -- the zip line was called "the monster" or something, right? like the -- >> jimmy: it was just terrible. it was a terrible thing. it was the most frightening thing i ever did in my lifetime. and then i -- we went down the zip line -- this is in puerto rico and it is called "the monster" or something. it's two miles long or something crazy. >> tariq: yeah, yeah. >> jimmy: it's unbelievable. and i did it. and i go all -- it's all good, it's good for the show. and i get off, and i go, "all right, get me in a car, let me get me out of here."

and they go, "you can't just get in the car, you have to take another zip line to the parking lot." [ laughter ] another zip line. i go, "you have got to be kidding me, man." i'm -- i felt like screaming. i felt like crying. i didn't know what to do. any emotion, i'm in the jungle. they go, "you can't get -- the only way you can get out is to zip line to safety." and the first zip line was like this, where i was flying, like that. >> tariq: right. >> jimmy: and my -- the fat on my face was going -- and then, i get to the other -- the other one, you kind of sit in a little harness. and you sit in the thing and you spin and it's awful and it's embarrassing and i didn't like it. and, tariq, you went first. and it goes into, like, a cloud or something, and it goes like -- and i go, "well, tariq died." [ laughter ] he had a good life. he had a good life. and, you know, and so then i go down and i go down. i go, "just get this over with." i'm just, frightening. i'm grabbing it too hard -- the thing. and i'm like freaking out. and i get there, and of course my thing stops. before the end, stops. and tariq is laughing because

he's -- so the instructor guy, the guy has to shimmy himself over to me and -- and scissor me around and it's embarrassing. [ laughter ] so i was trying to figure out -- >> jimmy: "cocomelon," dude. >> yeah, i'm like, "what do i got to do to get y'all attention? okay, so y'all want to watch 'cocomelon'? watch this. i'm finna go put together something called 'doggyland.'" so i got action figures and characters that sing. one of the characters is my voice. so i tricked them. and we have a great mentor program, big sister program, where they get to play a a practice round together. they play saturday, sunday, the most important days, together. so they get to learn inside the ropes what it's like to be a a professional golfer. i get real excited about it. >> jimmy: and they get a pro like you to look up to. and it's pretty awesome, by the way, because you're the best. i want to congratulate you on that.
