news along the western coast of france. look at that sunshine. jay is so lucky. i know. have we got we got some clouds here, but it's similar. he's in the sunshine, but he's wearing a sweater. right. that's kind of like us. and yeah, the temperatures are going to feel a lot like. or they should on average like what we had today out there. so lots of temperatures in the upper 70s. and we're going to slide in with more weather like that as we head through this weekend. i also wanted to continue that paris countdown and start off with a look here at what those weather conditions specifically are as we head through july and august in paris. and those are considered to be the warmest months, with an average high here of 78, average low of 61. they do get into some rainfall here looking at about 2.5in or so in july and august. so there is the chance of some rain coming on in. but the biggest headline that could come out of this would be the possibility of heat waves. if they're going to get heat waves, it's going to

happen in july and august. in fact, just a few years ago, they got up as hot as 108. so we'll continue to cover the weather. and of course, all the stories coming out of the olympics. as we get closer, just head to nbcbayarea.com. we've got full details on it there as well. all right, let's move it back into the bay area. the weekend is just upon us. if you're headed out tonight, i wanted to show you what to expect out here across the bay area 63 right now in san francisco. with some of that fog starting to roll in plenty of 50s starting at 7:00 tonight, right near the bay, just a little bit warmer here. we're at 72 right now, mostly sunny skies, albeit the fog is just kind of knocking on your doorstep. here we have 64 at 7 p.m. and down to a chilly 59 at 9 p.m. and comfortable through the inland valleys after low one hundreds and some records, this week, we now have 79 here across our inland valley. sunny skies. we'll get down to some mid 60s by 8 p.m, but you're probably not going to need a jacket here if you're headed out, at least
5:19 pm
for the early evening. throughout those inland valleys. okay, as we head through this weekend, we had this area of low pressure, this storm system off to the north, and we also have fog at the coastline. so those two things still helping to keep some of that hottest air away. now, by the time we head into sunday's forecast, that system right there is actually going to break away from the storm track. just kind of meander down the coastline and set up shop near southern california. now we're going to stay dry on sunday, but if you're headed to the sierra, there will be the possibility of maybe some thunderstorms popping in the forecast. i think the biggest thing overall, as we head through tomorrow will be the fog to start looks pretty widespread for us. then as we head through the afternoon, we are going to get some sunshine in here. i think the computer models are overdoing it a little bit. it will be more of a filtered sunshine here with some high clouds moving across. so nonetheless, we're still looking at some pretty good weather here on that weekend. we're going to start it off with temperatures here in the 50s across the bay area. so a chilly start could need that jacket at least to get going here tomorrow morning.
5:20 pm
