republicans will probably take both house and senate in november. here's a clip of that interview. donald trump is on track, i think, to win this election and maybe win it by a landslide and take with him the senate and the house. and so for me, this isn't a question about polling. it's not a question about politics. it's a moral question about the future of our country. and i think it's critically important for us to come to grips with what we face. if together, we put this country on the path of electing donald trump again. now, earlier this week, president biden sent a letter to democrats firmly stating he was running and that should be the end of it, he said. but this morning on morning joe, former speaker of the house nancy pelosi made it sound very much as if this decision is still up in the air. it's up to the president to decide if he is going to run. we're all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short. now, the msnbc

host then reminds pelosi that biden says the decision has been made, but pelosi sticks with it, saying, hey, whatever future decision the president makes, she'll support it. he has made the decision he has said firmly this week he is going to run. do you want him to run? i want him to do whatever he decides to do. the television network abc, meantime acknowledging its political director, george stephanopoulos, made an off hand comment to a person on the street that he didn't think that joe biden could serve four more years. the comment was recorded and first reported by tmz. stephanopoulos said, quote, earlier today, i responded to a passerby, and i shouldn't have. in washington, the nato summit continues celebrating 75 years of the alliance, one of the main subjects, of course, ukraine, ukrainian president zelenskyy, perhaps reading ahead to the election, asking for more weapons, fewer restrictions on

the pop up company tells nbc bay area that their caterers, they're not a restaurant. they're still hoping for a resolution allowing the event to be held another time. it should have had that big steak that knocks over fred's car. then maybe they could have. then maybe they'll allow it. yeah. all right, well, tour is visiting london's buckingham palace suddenly have a whole new area to experience. the east wing of the palace is opening to the public for the first time ever. this part of the castle goes back 175 years and was recently refurbished. it's packed with royal history and dragon symbols. royals would use the balcony on the east wing for national events like the queen's jubilee limited. tours are now being offered at a cost of about $100. you can actually see the full stories coming up this morning on the today show at 7 a.m, right after today in the bay, we could take a tour, go on the balcony. yeah. do the waves.

yeah. you know, i would do it. i don't know, $100 though. is it per person or per group? all right, well, i'm not sure. well trending this morning the end of an era on the las vegas strip with the iconic mirage hotel set to close next week. i had no idea there's a way you could hit the jackpot before it shuts down, because nevada state law requires that casinos pay out their entire value of their rolling jackpots before they close, so that means the mirage will be required to pay about $1.5 million in jackpot money. it will be handed out through contest drawings done over four hour windows each day. among slot machine players, the resort is being replaced by the hard rock las vegas, expected to open in 2027, isn't there already a hard rock las vegas? i don't know, might be worth the flight though, if you can get there to win a jackpot, but one thing is, you know, this week they hit 120 and that was their hottest temperature ever. so it's still really hot. but they got that

of spots, especially without air conditioning. and we're going to see a high of 97 in san jose. and on friday the heat is easing up a little bit. we're still seeing a lot of 80s and 90s here in a few triple digits, but we may be replacing the high heat for high humidity this weekend. there will be a surge in mid-level moisture coming in. we'll have to watch that saturday and sunday because if we do get that coming in, it could spark off a few thunderstorms and make it feel muggy with these highs in the 90s. so we are going to be watching a lot of things, including a high fire danger over the next few days. and mike, you're checking in on the berkeley curve watching, and we see a nice volume, a nice easy flow. so this is great. we do have more traffic than last week. we don't have any major problems like at the berkeley curve or at the maze. as we look at the approach, we see some more slow and gradual build. richmond through berkeley. there may be a new issue, a disabled vehicle near the caldecott, but i think it's outside. i'll let you know if there's anything urgent going on there for 24.
